Halloween Party

The whole town was busy with the same gossip. Whether it was firms, corporates, hospitals, schools, or market, everybody got the mutual topic to talk about. The First Halloween Party of the town indeed became the talk of the town.

A family had recently moved to the town from the west. They observed many festivals in the town. They celebrated all the festivals in the past ten months since they came to the town. India is well known for it's diversity and thus there are a lots of festivals to be celebrated every year.

Although there are lots of festivals to celebrate in the country Halloween is not one of them. Very few people have started to organize Halloween Party by the influence of the trend.

The new family of the town really liked socializing. All the members of the family enjoyed the company of their neighbors, schoolmates, work acquaintances and friends. So, when October started they planned to organize a Halloween Party.

Some friends from the town helped them and it became a very grand scale party. Many people were invited especially young people.

The town was not too big and mostly all the teenagers were invited. Afterall young people have more fun in Halloween than others.

Jiya was sitting with her friend, Neha and her twin brother, Kartik. They were discussing about the Halloween Party as well. It is the last day before the Halloween but Alas they hadn't get the invitation yet.

One of the children of the newly moved family is in their school and so all of the school has got the invitation except them. But despite the fact that they are not invited they too had their wishes for that party. They even had costumes and makeup in their mind. Jiya even practiced few makeups for Halloween. They started planning it since a long time. But their luck seemed not to be on their side.

The worst was that sucking group of their class which was the first to get the invitation. They kept bragging about it and they all were showing off in front of Neha and her friends.

Around six in the evening Neha parted with her twin friends to go home. She was in a bad mood because of the invitation. She directly entered her room and didn't utter even a word to anyone from her family. The same was the situation at Jiya's place and Kartik was in no better mood than both the girls. During dinner also they didn't talk much.

At morning they all met at the gate of the college. They were having test or else all three of them would have stayed home. They had dragged themselves to college just for the test.

After the test Kartik went to the locker room to bring some thing from the locker. He opened the locker and found a strange envelop in it. It was sparkling. He grabbed it from the letter but before taking it out he called Jiya.

"Jiya come fast to the locker room."

"Why?"

"Come fast. And bring Neha also."

"Bro, what's the Matter?"

"Just come fast. There's something in my locker."

"What's there?" Jiya asked worryingly.

"It's.... it's an envelop. Just come here."

"Okay okay."

Not understanding the situation Jiya hung up the call and dragged Neha along with her to the locker room. They saw Kartik standing near the locker. Jiya immediately demanded that envelop from her twin brother. He said that it was in the locker.

Jiya and Neha opened his locker and was stunned at the sight of that envelop. Jiya immediately took it out but carefully as if it could be destroyed if didn't handle carefully.

There was a unique sparkle on the envelop. The whole envelop was covered with sparkle.

"Where did this envelop come from?" Jiya inquired her twin brother.

"I don't know, it was there when I opened my locker." Kartik said the matter-of-fact.

"It's so beautiful." Neha said while touching it.

Others also gathered around the trio and wanted to touch it, it was too beautiful and mesmerizing but Jiya blocked everyone's touch in the fear that it will be destroyed by too many people touching it.

Jiya said, "I have a pouch, let's take it out an see what's there in it."

Jiya then pass the envelop to Neha and opened her locker and her eyes widened. There was a similar envelop in her locker as well. She took it out and then turned towards Neha and said, "Check your locker too."

Neha opened her locker and Jiya's intuition was proved correct. There was that kind of letter in her locker too.

After witnessing this scene many people in the locker room checked their lockers as well but didn't find anything. They even send a message or called their friends too to come and check their lockers. No one knew what was there in the envelop but that sparkle captured everyone's heart. It was out of the world. Then a shade of envy was clearly visible in their eyes when no one found anything in their locker.

Jiya very carefully put all the three envelopes in her pouch and walked out with Neha and Kartik.

They found an empty spot in their campus and sat there. Jiya removed one envelop from the pouch and opened it. A sweet and pleasant melody was presented to their ears when they opened it. Then their eyes saw the words 'INVITATION' and 'HALLOWEEN PARTY'. They stared at the envelop and then at each other. There was also a venue for the party on the invitation card.
