Chapter 59 Meeting the X-Men

POV 3rd person

Nightfury: "STORM DRAGON ROAAAR!!!!" The blast from the attack sent abandoned cars flying the X-Men who stood behind the attack had to close their eyes and cover their ears from the sudden immense wind speed sounds of thunder and flashes of lightning it was as if a thunderstorm had just appeared on a sunny clear day.

Then the storm stopped allowing everyone to see the damage and it was devastating the highway was completely ruined with cracks and holes and missing chunks all across it. And the Juggernaut was pushed back and all across his Armor and exposed skin was black and by scorch marks the only piece of him that looked unharmed was his hand that had grown back.

Juggernaut: "Is that the best you got?" he started to take a step forward but Nightfury appeared standing on top of Juggernaut's shoulders with a pickaxe.

Nightfury: "Not even close meathead but we've done enough damage for today so I'm ending this now," Nightfury brought down the pickaxe on the helmet and like a hot knife through butter pulled the now embedded pickaxe causing a large tear on the helmet revealing his head.

"Hey red if you would do the honors!"

Marvel girl: "With pleasure" Nightfury jumps off Juggernaut as he began to scream and grabs his head before making a rush for Jean Grey in an attempt to stop her but to no avail as Nightfury tripped Juggernaut with his pickaxe. a few moments later the Juggernaut was unconscious.

POV Nightfury

As I read the description of my items I was able to listen in on tge conversation of the X-Men

Nightcrawler: "That was the coolest thing I've ever seen how he blasted him back do you think he'll show me how he summoned those dragons in Metropolis or hold his shield" Kurt looked like he was meeting his ideal but most of the others looked the same way except Jean who was carrying the second person Cyclops.

Shadowcat: "Oh man our first team up with another superhero and it turns into us being saved by them how embarrassing is that." I chucked at that and watched the red and blue flashing lights of the police in the distance.

Cyclops: "We have bigger problems Rogue is missing, and Jean can't get a read on her meaning she's likely out of her range or being hidden"

I accept the mission and make my way over to the group of mutants and cyclops comes to meet me we shack hands.

Cyclops: "Thank you for the assist it is an honor to meet you my name is Cyclops" I could tell his mind was on his Rogue as I saw his smile falter for just a moment "and this is my team"

"The honors all mine my name is Nightfury it's a pleasure to meet you all" I could see the smiles and looks of relief on them. "But aren't you missing a teammate" the look of shock on their faces was priceless.

Iceman: "How did you. . .?"

"The nose knows" and I point to a nearby building" looks like whoever took them watched meet with a group on that building and then left the City with your teammate"

Marvel Girl: "Could you help us find our friend" as she walked up to me I felt a familiar tingling in my head but I didn't swat it away like last time instead of just keeping it at bay.

"No problem I just hope you can keep up" I switch from [Storm Dragon] to [Zilla] and breathed in the sent of Rouge as the kidnappers.

As the X-Men got on their motorcycles I took off like the incredible hulk I jumped high into the air before running down the road looking behind me I saw the X-Men not too far behind.

After 10 minutes we find a strange area with warehouses the X-Men parked a bit away, after a bit of scouting from nightcrawler he could confirm tge Rogue was her and that The brotherhood had captured her with two unknown mutants.

"Who are these guys anyway?" having done some research beforehand on mutants to and honestly wasn't much besides rumors and Anti mutant propaganda and looking up the X-gen turned up nothing but a paper on the theoretical origins of mutants by one Dr. Henry Mccoy.

Iceman: "They're a bunch of goons that follow a mutant called Mystique," he said with venom but I couldn't help but see the upset look on Kurt's face.

Shadowcat: "But why would Mystique kidnap Rogue and then bring her here to some dusty old warehouses"

Cyclops: "We can worry about that after we get her back now here's the plan-" put my hand on his shoulder

"Don't worry about it just sit back until I send the signal" before anyone could react I teleported in front of the warehouse. ripping the door off its hinges to find everyone looking my way with looked from utter shock.

Avalanche: "what are you-?" that was as far as he got before I activated.

The bullet just bounced off my armor and fell to the ground barely having to look over I saw the unmistakable faces of domino who held the smoking gun and Psylocke right before they both fell unconscious and after a few seconds so did everyone else.

Deactivating my Aura I checked on Rogue she was unconscious it seems she was drugged I carefully untied her and carried the bridal style out of the warehouse almost colliding with the X-Men.

"We need to get her to a doctor it looks like she's been drugged but I don't know if that's all they did," I said before they could ask any questions.

Cyclops: "We need to get her to Beast and the professor X. Nightcrawler can you get her there" but Kurt shook his head it was too far away

"I'll run here they give me the address and ill meet your people there," and after a second I switched to [XLR8] and ran as fast as I could arriving in 5 minutes it would have been faster but a couple of wrong turns got me turned around.

As I arrived I saw two people stand out front of what I could truly call a mansion one was bald in a wheelchair the other was built like a blue gorilla but in a lab coat with glasses, when I came to a stop in front of the two the I laid Rogue on the gurney Beast was clasping on to as soon as I set her down he was off and I was left standing alone with Charles Xavier.

"So I'm guessing you, Professor X, and the blue guy is beast" Xavier smiles and nods his head.

Xavier: "Hello Nightfury it's a pleasure to meet you" we shack hands "would you like to rest after such a long run I can assure you my students would love to meet a hero of your fame."

'Does he think flattering me will increase the odds I accept'

(10 minutes later)

"And that's how I ended up on your doorstep" I sat across from Xavier as I went over what happened with tge fight with the Juggernaut at the warehouse.

Xavier: "I see this is quite the predicament do you have any idea what could they have wanted to accomplish" I shrug my shoulder I had a theory but I had no way of conveying it without having my for thoughts then the door opened and in came Storm and Wolverine both stared at me before taking their place by Xavier's side.

Wolverine: "Good news is Rogues going to be just fine Chuck she should be awake in a few minutes at most an hour." the man leaned against the wall be next to Xavier

Storm: " Scott and his team have returned and our awaiting briefing" storm stood next to Xavier.

Xavier: "Nightfury these are some of my staff at my school and my closet advisors Logan and Ororo" I nodded to the both of them

"So what happens now you erase my memory or something"

Wolverine: "No bube not how we do things around here"

Storm: "We would ask you to keep this places true purpose a secret" I nodded my head at that a school teaching mutants to use their powers even without for knowledge to see how that could end badly.

"No problem but if I could ask for something in return" Logan looks slightly more angry if that's even possible but Xavier and Ororo just waited.

"I have kids who have powers and ability and I'm unsure to take them to a regular school so if it's possible could they come here when they're ready?"

Xavier: "Of course, we will be welcome with open arms".
