The Second Commander

Yun was going over his daily reports when he received news that Guan Yu was being stubborn but Lu Meng managed to outwit him as he took over the Guiyang, Lingling, and Changsha Commanderies from Liu Bei's control.

There was a big discussion about why allies were fighting about it but Lu Su dealt with it easily by telling Liu Bei that they only lend the land to him since he didn't have a land of his own but now he has the Yi Province which he calls his own.

This made Liu Bei furious but his strategists as well as Guan Yu tried to calm him down since the big bad wolf wasn't involved in this matter because if he were they wouldn't have land they could call there own.

The big bad wolf being Yun who wouldn't have stopped at Changsha but would have taken Wuling and Jiangxia as well from them before pushing for the offensive and taking the rest driving Guan Yu and Liu Bei's forces out of Jing before going North to drive Cao Ren out of Xiangyang.

Or at least those are the thoughts Guan Yu had at the moment of Yun who hasn't moved since he took over Xiapi again. Cao Cao was still watching at the east with wary eyes since Yun could any moment attack him out of nowhere.

This was why Liu Bei also won against Cao Cao in Hanzhong since he couldn't sent more men there out of fear that Yun would mobilize his troops seeing him weakening his hold.

Cao Cao was also thinking about moving the capital further North to Ye just to be safe bit for now he didn't need to since Yun was waiting for the right moment to strike it seems to everyone that knows him.

It is true that Yun was waiting for the right moment but he knew that this moment will arrive in the near future when Guan Yu goes for Xiangyang.

That will be the moment that will change the future of the Three Kingdoms for good as Yun would take one of Liu Bei's greatest general from him while pincering Cao Cao forcing him to move south which will allow Sun Quan to focus solely on Liu Bei and the Yi Province while Yun would cut of the northwest of Cao Cao's territory from the northeastern part as he would go for Luoyang and Xuchang.

But the future isn't written yet as he was waiting for that day to come and try his luck once again as he was done dealing with his work before leaving to meet his wife.

Zhen Luo was with Huixiu and MI Shi while the children were playing together when Yun arrived and sat down at their table when he looks at Zhen Luo who didn't need long to notice his stare.

"Do you need something from me, dear," says Zhen Luo as she gives Yun her full attention.

"Nothing, I am just staring at my beautiful wife, aren't I allowed to do so any longer?" says Yun back as Zhen Luo smiles at him before they kiss each other.

"Maybe there is something," says Yun as he remembers something.

"Do you want to be tied to me even after our deaths?" asks Yun seriously as Zhen Luo looks at him confused with what he just said.

"You want to be buried with me?" asks Zhen Luo as Yun shakes his head.

"No, do you want to be with me even after our bodies have given up? For eternity and ever more would you be able to support me even then?" asks Yun wanting to know if Zhen Luo would want to be with him forever.

He wouldn't force her to join him since she would resent him later on for forcing her to be always by his side.

"Just give it a thought if you could survive more than one lifetime with me and give me an answer tonight," says Yun as he leaves as he wanted to meet with another person who was only as a guest in Xiapi at the moment.

Yun went to the training field in the new military district where Yun has his a second office where he can go over not so important reports which some spies can look at being the bait for his enemies while the office at his manor was for important reports which he would deal with first before going to the Military District.

Yun saw Yang training using gauntlets which go up to his elbows made out of black iron which was stronger than normal iron. Yang was far bigger than his siblings making him stand over Yun by 5 cm(2 inches) making him be 2,15m (7.05 feet) tall.

He was agile even more than Yun was when he was his age and stronger as well while he could summon naturally Qi in the shape of a Black Flame.

He is proficient in close-quarter combat, spears, and swords as he was trained to enter the Murim and not the Military by Yun. He wanted his son to survive and created a strong branch in the Murim for their family which should stay for centuries as he hoped that the Military branch would.

He looked at his son sparring with the person he wanted to meet, Gan Ning. Gan Ning was only in Xiapi to collect supplies before sailing south again.

He was quite surprised by Yang being already such a developed warrior hoping to never meet him on the other side of the battlefield as he sees Yun standing on the field making both stop.

"Good to see you, old friend," says Yun to Gan Ning while holding a jar full with wine in his hand.

"Do want to drink with me?" asks Yun as Gan Ning pulled on his chain making his sword fly toward him before grabbing the handle of it and sheathing the sword while removing the chain from the pommel placing it around his shoulder and torso.

"Where do we go, your office?" asks Gan Ning curiously as Yun nods.

"Yang take a break from sparring and meditated more to strengthen the Qi inside of you," says Yun not going to do the same mistake again with Yang which he did with Fang, Mulan, Zheng, and Rin.

He was too soft on them not teaching them properly like a real teacher but as a carrying father which was his mistake. Yang was now suffering through it as would his grandson as the next head of the family.

Yun retreated back to his second office with Gan Ning as they sat down at his desk and Yun pours himself and Gan Ning wine when he asks, "How is it going in the south?"

"It's the same as always," says Gan Ning looking at Yun while picking up the cup drinking from it directly without questioning if poison was in it.

"Ahhh, that hits right the spot I like," says Gan Ning liking the aftertaste the wine left behind.

"Good, it is one that I received a long time ago from a friend as a gift for being invited to Fang's wedding," says Yun in a sad tone remembering Xiahou Yuan when he sighs and says, "I wanted to ask you something which I asked Lu Bu once before."

"What did he answer to that question that you haven't told me yet?" asks Gan Ning curiously as Yun sighs.

"He accepted it back then-" says Yun not done with his sentence when Gan Ning interrupts him.

"Then I accept it as well," says Gan Ning without any hesitation in his voice as he looks at Yun firmly telling him that he won't change his decision.

"I am going to ask you even if you have already accepted it. Do you want to become my General forever? This also means that you would be bound to me even after death," says Yun seriously trying to see if Gan Ning's resolve would waver but it didn't it only intensified.

"You were the first person to give me a chance to show the world my greatness. You gave me my ships for which I am famous for in the whole Empire. And you gave me those weapons that seem to come from way put of our time. I would still be a miserable pirate and not a honorable General if you, your father, and the others never entered my life," says Gan Ning seriously as he was convinced that he still was indebted to Yun for more than one lifetime.

"Serving you even after all this is over I would gladly accept," says Gan Ning as a window opened for Yun asking him if he accepted Gan Ning as his Second General.

"You can conscript three people to be your commanders just like Lu Bu who chose Zhang Liao, Gao Shun, and Chen Gong. Who are you going to chose just take in consideration that they need to be loyal to you or at least have a high affinity with you," says Yun with a smile on his face which made a smirk appear on Gan Ning's face.

"I can chose three poor souls that will keep me company. Let me think," says Gan Ning as he begins to think about who to choose when he says, "Ling Tong should be available. Maybe Lu Meng since we served together for quite a while. And the last would be Yueying."

"Ling Tong seems to have a high affinity with you as well as Lu Meng but you won't be able to get Yueying," says Yun as Gan Ning had two out of three at the moment.

"What about Guo Jia?" asks Gan Ning rubbing his chin with his hand.

"He is available," says Gan Ning as he Yun nods and Gan Ning says, "Then I will take those three as my Commanders. Lu Meng might be standing over us in the future but I will stand over him after we die."

Gan Ning began to laugh out loud imagining Lu Meng face once they meet in the Afterlife and he finds out that he is under him when Yun seemed to play with air to him when the air begins to shine and four rays of light appear with one going directly for Gan Ning hitting him directly at the right side of his neck.

Gan Ning was surprised as his neck felt the light burn a mark into his skin as a Valknut appears where the ray of light hit Gan Ning when he says jokingly, "You could have warned me."

"Sorry, it was a long time since I used it on Lu Bu," says Yun as he finished his cup of wine before pouring himself and Gan Ning another cup while the other three rays of light traveled all over the land until they found their mark while Yun and Gan Ning enjoyed the wine as they talked about the future.
