Dropping the wooden spatula on the floor, Lucas gulped in nervousness. He had sent a message to Yichan early in the morning telling him about the blood mission but how was he supposed to admit that in front of Ning? He knew that she would definitely ask him further questions about the mission but he wasn't supposed to tell her anything.
"R-Really? They call me that? I hadn't noticed," he nervously answered without taking his eyes off the knife Ning was holding.
Smirking at him, she ran her finger through the sharp edge of the knife and took a step towards him. "Would you believe me if I told you that I was ex[pected that kind of answer from you?" Without waiting for his reply, she chuckled, "So predictable Lucas, I think you forgot who you are talking to."
Taking a step back, he nervously pleaded, "Ning, put down the knife and lets talk in a very civil manner."
"Civil? Why should I be civil with someone who is lying to me?"
