CHAPTER 50 - delivery

Fifteen minutes had passed since Azusa had left to find a doctor. Sakashi began breathing heavily as contractions began to grow stronger, her labor is becoming painful. "Keep breathing, relax will ya, Azusa will be back with better help for you but for the time being just breathe and try to relax. We'll see the baby very soon." Wesley told her as he held her into him. Sakashi felt like she must be in a great deal of pain to think this is the worst feeling she has ever felt. From her face, Wesley could tell she's fighting hard to regulate her breathing. When the contractions come repeatedly she groaned as she hunched over Wesley's right arm. "Hang on sakashi Azusa will be back soon." Wesley told her as he continued to hold sakashi.

"hey someone please help, I need a doctor now! My girlfriend is giving birth on the trail!." Azusa yelled out In the hospital. A doctor looked over and ran over to him. "take me to her now." the doctor told him. Azusa and the doctor immediately ran to the location as quickly as possible. Azusa however was worried about sakashi and didn't care about his identity being revealed in any way if he messes up and blows his cover. About 20 minutes after Azusa and the doctor left the care center, they arrived. The doctor immediately lunged down towards sakashi and guided Wesley and Azusa on what he needed them to do. Looking at what was going on he glanced at sakashi then at Azusa. "hmmm, The baby seems to be stuck, she also has the umbilical cord wrapped around the child's neck which is why she's feeling more pain than usual.." the doctor told them as he kept his focus. Azusa looked at sakashi and gripped her leg that he was supporting. Wesley kept silent, he didn't really care what would happen. Sakashi continued to scream in pain as her fingertips dug into the earth. "alright this baby will be ok if we take this slow. I managed to loosen the cord up, so it's not in serious danger. But we still need to still take precautions, if anything goes wrong the baby won't make it." the doctor told them firmly. "alright, I need you to breathe for me, miss and push." he told her calmly. Nothing could be more brutal, not whips or chains. She's screaming like her guts are being ripped out with a blunt.

With each contraction came a pain that dominated sakashi's entire body. In those moments, for those seconds that seemed like forever, there was nothing else for her to do but bare through the pain. About an hour passed with constant pushing and pain, the pain subsided. And a little soft cry could be heard. it was only for a quick minute sakashi breathed hard but calmly with her closed eyes. " It looks like you had a baby boy.." the doctor spoke as he handled the baby before placing him onto sakashi's chest. The baby immediately latched onto sakashi's breast and began suckling. Sakashi held the baby boy close to her as tears dripped rapidly down her cheeks.

She looked into the baby's eyes and could feel this strong connection of love she has never felt before. She felt a warmth and saw a light lit through this baby that rescued her. In that instant she knew she would do anything to protect her child, that her love was as vast as the universe yet solid as the strongest known rock. She became a mother for a reason and wouldn't have it any different. Wesley gently pushed sakashi upwards and leaned her back against the rock. "thank you for everything doc, now would you mind if we take the baby back home to get him cleaned up and fix up a nice comfortable nursing room for them? We didn't expect this to happen too soon and since you still need to patch and clean her up I figured you could stay here with her while we go, then Azusa will come back for her?" Wesley asked the doctor. Azusa looked at Wesley and didn't want to leave sakashi with anyone. "oh sure, that's fine. I only need about an hour then she will be done. This will cost you though for coming out." the doctor calmly spoke as he began stitching sakashi up. "how much you need?" Azusa asked. "7,000 pounds, if it was done in the Hospital, the cost would have been more." the doctor told them. Azusa nodded. "alright ill be back with the money in full and to get my girl." The doctor nodded and continued to help clean sakashi up. Sakashi however didn't want to let the baby go. She hesitated at first but trusted Asuza will protect his son. She slowly placed the baby into Azusa's arms after the nursing was done and the baby was fed. Azusa wrapped a blanket around him and continued to walk with Wesley back home. "you sure it's wise to leave her alone with some random guy.?" Azusa asked. "Eh, if he does anything, I'll kill him. Relax we can't blow our cover anyway." Wesley told him. Azusa looked down as he walked holding the baby boy and smiled softly watching the baby as he's sound asleep. Once they arrived home luke walked over to see the baby and smirked. "It's ugly," Luke said loudly. Azusa gently laid the baby down and suddenly grabbed Lukes's shirt and yanked him towards his face. "Insult him again one more time and I'll give you a black lip," Azusa told him firmly. Wesley rolled his eyes as he began getting a small area ready for sakashi and the baby. "Ok ok ghee...calm down! It was a joke." Luke replied with both his hands up in the air. Azusa released him and walked over to their stash of money and grabbed the amount of money needed. "I'll be back. You make sure the baby is well taken care of you hear?" Azusa spoke firmly before walking out of the house. Luke sighed and looked at the baby and began watching him. Wesley walked out of the room and looked at the sleeping baby and kept silent before he walked to the kitchen and began to drink some liquor. Azusa began making his way back fast worried sakashi wasn't going to be there.

As Azusa walked to retrieve sakashi back. The doctor had finished stitching sakashi up and made sure she was going to be ok. Sakashi thanked him and fell asleep from exhaustion leaning against the rock. The doctor then looked at his phone and looked through his gallery. He looked at sakashi and smirked.
