Opponent?!

It's been around two months now, the tag didn't appear. I don't know what to do anymore. Should I run away? I remember the retainer said that I have a competitor, what if the competitor killed the tag already? What if I have to stay here forever. I am getting anxious.

I go out everyday to search for the tag now. I'm scared and irritated.

Today the prince called me in his chambers. He told me his masterplan to kill a person I don't know about.

The plan was to kill a maiden he was in love with. What the hell-

Apparently she was going to get married to her older brother after leading him on. And he would like her dead. What a crazy request for a mere housemaid.

I don't know anymore. I can't and won't wait for the tag. I will follow the prince plan and after executing it I will blackmail him and get money out of him and run away. Full proof plan. What could go wrong?

The day came. It was a dinner with his older brother and her fiancé everything was going right. But just then the tag appeared- on the younger prince, Lexus.

THE TAG HAS APPEARED. KILL THE PERSON WITH TAG BEFORE YOUR OPPONENT. TIME LIMIT IS FORTY EIGHT HOURS.

I heard the retainer's voice even though he was nowhere to be seen. The opponent? Who could it be? His elder brother? Or his fiancée? Or could it be the eldest maid? It could be anyone!

I have forty eight hours. Either way I have the upper hand. I stay with the prince almost all the time so I can kill him pretty easily. The only problem is when the night falls and I have to go back to my quarters.

I was dazed for a long time contemplating who the other person could be until the prince started eyeing me. I forgot to put poison in the girl's food! So I offered her some drinks and she said she would like some rose wine. So I put the poison in her wine. To my surprise she didn't drink that! As if she knew it had poison in it!

The night ended rather abruptly. Before I knew it was time for me to go back to my quarters. The prince, irritated, had already ordered me to go because I couldn't finish the task that was provided to me.

I stood in front of his gate for like thirty minutes and then when I was sure that the prince was asleep I made my move. I went to the kitchen and bought the butchering knife. It was dark but I made my way through the hall and back to the Prince's room.

I went to his room and saw his sleeping figure in the dark. Just then I thought something moved behind me. I looked back and didn't saw a anything so I continued and drew the big knife right over the prince. I was ready to strike.

Suddenly I felt a string around my neck. And it started choking me…
