New hobbies?

A few weeks later, I was got permission from Glynda to use the training arena. I wanted to see just how far Jaune has come compared to before with a one on one match. Fighting in this area is a handicap of sorts for me since there's nothing to devour around me in case I need more energy other than John himself. I don't have tons of aura, so a have to be a little conservative about my use of it in this room. We go to opposite ends of the arena and start the match. The first thing I do is summon Bagels (Gorilla Grimm). Bagels immediately starts banging on his chest and let out a war cry. Jaune tenses up after seeing Bagels and gets into a defensive stance. Bagels rushes toward Jaune and attempts to slam both of fists on top of Jaune's head. Jaune quickly reacts to Bagles attack and manages to block the blow. Even though he managed to block it, he wasn't strong enough to push it off and retaliate against him. Jaune escapes from the attack and swings his sword toward Bagels. Bagels takes the blow and punches Jaune in a fit of rage. Jaune is pushed back a couple of steps and maintains his ground. Bagel seeming to have an idea starts punching the ground and breaking it up. Bagel then grabs the broken pieces and starts throwing them at Jaune. Jaune gets flustered and tries his best to dodge the onslaught of rocks being thrown at him. In the process, he gets hit and loses his balance. Bagel takes this opportunity to grab onto Jaune and slam his body into the ground. I recall Bagel back and walk toward the defeated Jaune.

Jack: You have definitely gotten better at fighting since you've started.

Jaune: All thanks to you and Pyyrrha, but how come your summons are so strong. It's stronger than your average Grimm.

Jack: I'm guessing its because its the first Grimm I ever killed after learning to use my Glyphs. It's been with me for a while now. I'm guessing it grows stronger as I grow stronger.

Jaune: Your semblance seems pretty amazing, I wonder when I'm going to unlock my semblance. I can already tell that it's going to be strong. Maybe it will be the ability to control the wind or a powerful laser.

Jack: Your semblance isn't any of those things.

Jaune: How would you know? I don't even know.

Jack: It's just a strong feeling I have, don't worry about it.

Jaune: Anyway Jack, we have been training and hanging out for a while but don't you have any hobbies.

Jack: Hobbies? I don't think I have found a hobby to do since I was born into this world.

Jaune: Isn't there anything you would want to do?

Jack: Does training count?

Jaune: No.

Jack: A hard no, huh. Well, I guess I would want to learn how to draw better.

Jaune: We can go to town and get a beginner's book for you. My treat for all the help you've given me.

Jack: This seems too good to be true, who put you up to this?

Jaune: What?! How could you doubt my intentions? No one asked me to do this. No one at all.

Jack: If you say so, then let's go.

[Book Store- River's Night Dream]

Jaune: I heard the strangest rumors about this place.

Jack: Rumors?

Jaune: Something about a ghost haunts these very shelves and if you're careless about picking the wrong book then she'll steal your soul and have you keep her company for all eternity.

Jack: Why would a ghost like that exist in the first place? If it was a ghost that was lonely and stealing souls, then wouldn't they need only one person. Why would they kidnap multiple people? Also, ghosts are dead so how are they able to suck the soul out of someone anyway.

Jaune: You're taking this too seriously, its just a rumor.

Jack: I do understand that feeling like your alone is a very painful thing.

Jaune: No need to be so gloomy. Let's look for that book, it shouldn't be too difficult to find.

Eventually, Jaune and Jack found a few art books for beginners and a very strange book as well. It was a very old, thick book that seemed to be filled with short stories. It was called Hero's Requiem. An interesting thing about it was that it seemed unfinished because it had many blank pages at the end of it. It seemed like it was interesting enough so I bought it along with the rest of the art books. John questioned me about why I would want a book that wasn't even finished. I just shrugged and we headed back to the academy. On the way, we ran into Eve coming out of a sewing store with her hands full of bags. I offered to take them from her and she accepted my offer. She explained to me that her hobby was sewing and she loved making clothes, accessories, and dolls. That did explain why she always seemed to have an endless supply of bows, scarfs, and gloves. She was buying more material to sow with when we ran into her. She offered to sow me anything I wanted since she was feeling in a generous mood. I decided to ask for a nice headband that matches the color of my hair. She laughs and says that it's an easy task to do. The three of us leisurely walk back to Beacon Academy.
