Head of the Mountain

"Today is the day that city children are coming to Mountain."

"Yes, Master,"

"How many are coming?"

There are only 50 students that divided into four categories. Few of them in environment. There're 15 students, art for 10 students, geography 15 and medical science 5 students. While holding a record book Luna answer her master.

Luna is a woman who has a relationship with the city and carrying information to Mountain. She is special because she has a responsibility to look after city children. She's the student council head in the mountain school. She especially notices from others because of her hair. It's long till her knee. She belongs to Kalo who is the master in the school. She always calls him master. Kalo is also one headmaster in the 3 of the tribal. He's an ancient person, but no one couldn't tell his real age.

"Aha, this time also medical students are less."

"Yes, master but they said this team has 3 bright students."

"Everyone saying like that, but no one has a talent after coming here."

Suddenly he mentioned that upsetting, but Luna said nothing.

"Today's weather is very suspicious. Is there any storm coming soon? Those children should come here safely."

"I came to say that one also a master. Not like here the city side has a very nice warm weather. I couldn't explain it."

After hearing the explanation of Luna, he got shocked. According to his memory totally different weather in two side it's never happened before.

Again, Luna turns the record book upside down to find any clue. She thought something is missing in her book and 3rd time she turns the book.

"That's fine Luna. Let me know the time. I'll find out it by myself."

Finally, Kalo solves the problem.

"Ok, I'll do my best. Please give me the permission to leave."

She bends her head to the Kalo and left the room to her duty.

"Raki what's this nonsense."

After leaving the school they had to work a very long distance. So that reason, their legs started to hurt. On the middle of the road those who interested in going to Mountain, their wishes drop down to zero.

"After this bridge, we're going to the mountain."

Finally, great news came from the watchman before children's life go.

"Thank God"

Raki said that puffing, finally they could see a final. Afterwards came through the forest they could see until the middle of the bridge and other side full covered with thick foggy. Everyone shocks and look at it, but no one step in to the bridge. They never saw like this scene before.

"Let's go."

Watchman said again because no one step in to the bridge. And it shocks them like they saw any ghost. Every year he is doing this guide for students from the city, so it's became a normal about students' reaction.

"Let's go, otherwise we're getting late."

After hearing the watchman's voice everyone worked with fear. When they came to the middle of the bridge, they saw the other side of the bridge. However, it's not very clear. Raki, Aruni and Rangika came later in the raw, so they experience that situation later. After entering the thick fog, they saw the rope bridge expand to the other side.

"From here this place belongs to Mountain people. I can't enter from here. You can see there is a gate. From that gate, you can enter into the mountain."

There is a huge gate in the bridge's middle. Watchman explains the next step while showing the gate. Suddenly, Raki saw three marks in the gate's top.

"Hey, did you saw the top of the gate?"

"what...… Sun, fire and star."

Rangika said that without thinking because she couldn't understand the same marks are in their pendants. Afterwards, they couldn't say a single word and they had to shout their mouths because of one male and female two persons came in front. They felt more fear because of their figure size.

"These two people are from Mountain and they are like me. Because they are the two watchmen in this gate. He is Erick, and she is Merinda. From here they'll guide you."

That's the last word that they hear from the watchman. After that, gate open with a very loud voice. Everyone's heartbeat gone fast. There is no reason, but they felt fear. Watchman could understand every student feeling. No one had the courage to enter the gate lonely. Aruni and Rangika both hold the Raki's hand, because they couldn't control their own fear and still its feel high. Raki felt her friends shaking hands and their fear. Not only her friends she also couldn't control her fear. Her heart also beat quickly.

They are the last three who enter the gate. So that reason in the line they had to stay last. However, they could see how the main gate going to close with a huge noise. Suddenly Raki saw the watchman who is watching them from the opposite side. After seeing him, Raki wave her hand to say goodbye to him.

"Be careful. Do your work well. God will protect you. See you again."

Hearing the watchman's words Raki felt consolation. They didn't have much time to talk. So Raki shakes her head and waves her hand to show him to she heard his words. She felt like those words are a blessing and giving the motive to stand strong in this unknown world. When she was alone in her own thoughts, ten of-the-art students left the place and environment sector's students are line up in the raw to enter. Students' name pronounced by the watchman name Erick. He is well-set, and he looks like a very rough from outside. Merinda has guided the students to where to go them. Finally, remained only five students from the science sector.

"Pushpa, Navodya, Aruni, Rangika and Raki."

They got ready to enter while carrying their luggage. During that time Kalo stayed opposite side while reading those students mind who enter the gate. He has a great talent to read normal people because of that reason he became the headmaster of the school. He saw only the fear of those students. Still, He couldn't forget the thought that special someone will come with these students. So that reason he did his duty very carefully.

They use separate vehicles with horses to carry luggage. Erik and Merinda both help last five students and Merinda came with them. They work via the bridge, but they could only work a few steps.

"Hey...… See there is a huge bird. Look like an eagle."

Pushpa showed a bird while smiling because she never saw a bird like that. Not only her no one from the city school saw like that bird before. That bird was very huge like a helicopter.

"Don't you think that bird coming to this side."

Navodya put a step back and said shaking. There is no stop showing from the bird. Rangika and Aruni both ran to the back telling nothing. With Merinda in the bridge's middle Raki left.

"Child ran back. The bird is coming to this side."

"Let's go both of them."

Merinda advice Raki to go back, but she didn't leave Merinda. She wants to take her with her.

"You go first. I'll come. This bird is very cruel."

"That's not good you also come with me. Let's go both."

Raki didn't leave the Merinda. Finally, Raki touches her hand and ran to the main gate. Erick shouted to them to come quickly because he is getting ready to close the gate.

Luckily, they could enter the gate and close the gate quickly before the birds come. Kalo couldn't understand what's going on. This kind of situation has never happened before and like other days he sure about the bridge protection.

"Luna.... Luna...…"

He shouted angrily and when he walks everything felt down because of his anger.

"What's going on. Where is this bird coming? You confirm the bridge protection. And now what."

"Until now protection was great. I can't understand how this bird came."

"Who's this bird? I'm feeling like I have seen this bird."

He couldn't stop his walking. Luna understood he is straightly going to the rope bridge. She came from the back side while answering his all questions.

"Yeah, master. Bird belongs to Agni. He is the person that could control the bird."

After hearing what Luna said Kalo's anger got worst. He looked at the Luna glowed and again shouted.

"Take the Agni to the bridge."

He works quick to the bridge. The bird was Agni's pet, so he understood that only he could control the bird.

"Bird isn't going anywhere and turning here and there."

Erick couldn't understand what he should do because of this kind of situation never happened before. Suddenly, Aruni shouted after seen Raki's hand covered with blood. After seeing what happened to the friend she cried.

"When I was running my hand knock on the door."

Raki said trembling her mouth. She felt her hurt very well and she couldn't bear it any more. After hearing Aruni's voice Merinda and Erick both came to them. Merinda understood that reason she got hurt because she tries to protect her. She hurried and took some clothes to wrap her wound. They saw her wound is very deep because of the blood spread everywhere.

"Is it hurt more?"

Eric asked from Raki while rubbing her head. He scared and couldn't understand what to do. Raki only shakes her head, but nothing said.

"What we should do now. The bird isn't left."

Aruni felt angry about Merinda's talk.

"You guys took us here to kill."

"What you're talking."

"My friend is telling the truth. Is that the way you're protecting us? Look what happened to my friend."

Both Merinda and Eric got shocked after hearing Aruni's angry words. Rangika also shouted angrily.

"Please let us go back. Tell us our principal and please send us to our school."

Navodya cried because of the fear. Five of the students wanted to go back to the city, but they couldn't decide.

"We don't have permission."

"Do you want to wait until something happens to my friend? Your Mountain people couldn't come here because of that huge bird. We can do only one thing that's we have to go to the city."

Rangika said that crying because she was scared about her friend's situation. They understood there is a true children's talk. The situation became worse because suddenly place turns into a dark and cold.

"Eric send a message to the mountain. We can't wait."

He ran to the hut. They communicate with each other from a crystal ball. Luckily, he could directly connect with Luna.

"Master.... Can you hear me? Master."

"Eric what's going on."

One girl name Raki got injured. All of them crying and they want to go back. What should we do?" After hearing the Eric's voice, Luna understood that situation isn't good, and the girl is in a serious situation.

" Master…. Someone injured."

"What…?"

"Master, watchman said she is in a serious position and all the children in huge panic."

Kalo got anger after hearing the information. This kind of situation has never happened before, and no one thought to leave the mountain.

"Agni hurry up. There is one girl injured."

"Okay…. Okay…. She isn't death yet."

"Agni…."

Agni is a very stubborn person. Everyone knew that he isn't listen to anyone.

"Ok,"

Few minutes later he calls to the bird. It's like a whistle that doing from the mouth. After a few minutes later, bird came to Agni's hand.

"Gulab what you're doing?"

He asked from the bird while shaking his beak and shouted for what he did. Bird understood what Agni said, and he became more innocent after hearing the master's blame.

"Everything is okay. Take care of your city girl."

Agni said while leaving the place with the bird. They wasted none moment and went to the main gate with a doctor. Merinda and Eric both feel thrilled after seen their masters arrive.

"Where is she?"

Before Kalo asked about child Eric showed her. He got shocked after seen her situation because her whole cloths covered with blood. Her faced covered with tears because she couldn't bear her injured anymore. Kalo walked towards and took her hand. Saying nothing he rubs her hand once. Then Raki opened her eyes. Looking to her eyes at first time he felt grief. His heart never melted for any other city child, but Raki's hurt he couldn't bear. When he heard from the doctor that she is totally fine Kalo took a long breath.

"Now everything okay and bird also gone. Let's go."

While rubbing her head Kalo said very quietly, but everyone heard his words.

"I can't go back to the mountain."

Pushpa said while crying and Rangika also agree with her. No one's need to go to the mountain again.

"You can't move back."

"Please let us go. I can't move back to mountain again."

Raki said, against her crack voice no one couldn't talk. Although she investigates her damaged hand and shocked because the hand is same as before injured. her confusion despaired when she remembers that mountain people are a magician. After solving the case Kalo sent a message via a pigeon to the capital head principle.

"Your head principle is on the way. We sent a notice to her."

After hearing that children felt silent, but Kalo understood that he can't take any decision while talking to them.

"Are you okay?"

"Is it hurting?"

Rangika and Aruni came near to Raki and begged her feeling. She smiled and told she is fine now.

"Let's go quickly after madam came here. She'll take us to the capital."

Pushpa said while reaching to the Raki. Their conversation discovered by Luna and Kalo.

"I can't believe did they have this size of birds. OMG…"

Navodya also shouted.

"That's why I told early I don't want to come here."

Raki lean to the wall replied and answered. After hearing their conversation Kalo surprised. Before no one never thought to leave the mountain. But these kinds of words he never demanded from any city students.

"If I knew this before. I'll drop the exam."

Pushpa said those words while hitting the floor.

"That's why we fail the exam 3 times. This time is our misfortune to pass the exam."

When they hear Rangika's voice, Luna look into Kalo's face. He again in a shocked. At last, principle arrived near to the gate. Her heart beat rate also gone up after hearing the situation that her kids have faced.

"Raki… Raki... what happened?"

When she saw the Raki's cloths that covered with blood she couldn't even talk.

"Huge…. Bird came from that side."

Instead of Raki her friends talk. They spoke like parrots, but Raki stayed mute. After hearing what went on from the girl's head principle's sad turn into anger, because of the her anger her voice became more powerful.

"Kalo what's happening?"

Raki realized that old person who help her to recover name is Kalo when she heard the name from the principle's mouth.

"I can understand your feeling, however…..."

"I don't want your solutions. You confirm my children's safety. Now what's happening? Remember one thing if they said they don't wish to go to mountain. I'm not leading to force them. Don't forget that. OKAY."

Final words she responded. Luna saw the situation continuing to change wrong side. So, she instructs to pick up children outside.

"Merinda, now weather is getting cold. Get the kids to the shelter."

She thought children don't prefer to notice about their opinion. Two of the watchmen obey Luna's warning and took the kids to the shelter, because of the cold no one refuse the offer. After children left Kalo and principle again led their discussion.

"What's the sense of your talks? You know no one moved the mountain before their graduation. It's never arisen. So why…?"

Principle knew those words that Kalo said is correct. However, she doesn't settle with him.

"I don't know about that on the 1st day is like that then how I will depend on you for over 5 years. How could you suggest that? I raise these kids like flowers. They never experienced like this situation. So how you…?"

Head principle silent for a second. She couldn't manage her own passion.

"Do you know from these students 3 of them fail three terms in their exam, because they need not join here. This time they made pass because Ganga made the paper very easy. Otherwise this time again they'll decline."

After listen to the head principle Kalo couldn't figure out what to tell. Luna also became speechless.

"Okay, let's ask from the kids."

Whatever appear, he felt they'll love to study in the mountain.

"Luna take the kids here."

After receiving the warning from the Master, Luna react his words.

"I'm your guidance."

Words came from the head principle. She thought sending children to the mountain is a wrong thing she made ever.

"Whatever decision that you're taking I'm agree with you."

Children felt happier when they discovered those words from her mouth., Raki, Rangika and Aruni felt more curios. Raki thought, they should not worry for this time, because some stages are like these. They had to rock in that time.

"I want to run to city. I don't have a hope to stay here."

Navodya started early. After her request Pushpa speak.

"Yes, I'm also need to move home. That huge bird still in the mountain. Again, if something went on."

"That's correct. We're normal doctors. We don't know magic. If this happened again. We'll end." Rangika add another debate. All are juniors, but their reasons are more powerful like darts. Kalo understood their fear and they assume more about their future.

"I noticed that bird's owner also couldn't control that bird."

After Hearing Aruni's argument not alone the Kalo, Luna also felt empty.

"Please...… Can you give us the permission to leave? I'm so tired and I can't stay still."

Raki regurgitate her words after hearing her cracked voice Kalo couldn't ever realize what to do, and he felt miserable for her. After listen to everyone they found out, they couldn't take these kids to mountain. Principle also taking the kids side. It's turned into a disadvantage to the Kalo.

"I couldn't take a decision by myself. I need to discuss this situation with my chamber. Only tonight just hangs in the shelter. I'll take a decision early morning."

At the end Kalo said those words after study he can stop them at least for a midnight he can take a stronger outcome. Head principle also doesn't have a reason to disagree with his view.

"Okay. I need a reasonable answer tomorrow."

At last, she settles with him. Kalo left behind the place to contact the mountain committee. Before he took off, he advice to Luna to take care the children and principle.
