Her Greatest Fear

Being in the car was a bit better since Ivy could only hear the thoughts of the people within a few cars of them in any direction. She could focus on being a decent conversationalist now.

"Sorry about back there," she said a bit sheepishly. "I have a bit of a headache."

Adrian frowned at her in concern. "You should take some Tylenol or something when you get home."

That was exactly her plan. Tylenol and going to bed early. Those two things normally helped when she had noise headaches. But the best course of action was obviously to prevent them from happening in the first place.

After the dance and this she would be avoiding any and all human interaction outside of school for the next several months to spare her poor brain. Ivy had earned a break from pretending to be a normal person for a while.

"I will," she promised.

The car was silent for a while before Adrian spoke again. "I had fun tonight. I'm sorry about your headache…I hope despite that you still did too."
