Jaselle's Destiny

Here let me awaken it. Setoria touched Jaselle's forehead and a beautiful crystal tiara appeared above her head. It has a gem in the middle which appears to be exactly like the Ancient Lapiz Lazuli but the color is in pink.

"A crown like treasure? That's quite rare." said Soter.

"A crown?! Let me see!" Jaselle happily took a look at the golden mirror but she only saw Alke's face staring back at her.

"Noooo. I can't see it. Is it like a princess crown?"

Soter replied. "Yes, a beautiful one. It suits you."

"Does it suit me Alke?" Jaselle asked Alke.

"Yes." after Alke replied, Jaselle's eyes brigthened as she run around the room to check if there is something that will give a clear reflection. But there's none.

"You really shouldn't be happy. That treasure is... it will be envied by a lot of strong people." Setoria chose her words in a way Jaselle would understand but Jaselle still didn't get it.

Setoria stated at Jaselle with a serious look. She then said "There's a lot you don't know and the only one who should give you the answer is none other than your God".

Setoria looked at Alke afterwards.

Alke looked back at Setoria with an angry expression. It seems a fight will be starting again.

*Rumble*

Jaselle's stomach suddenly made a sound.

"I'm hungry." Jaselle blushed. She hasn't eaten anything since she got to this world. Gods normally eat only for pleasure but it seems Jaselle is different.

"Then, let's get food and then talk afterwards" With a flick of Alke's finger, they were transported to place with a sun up above. Trees were present as well with signs of scratches from animals, there's also a river which seems to have plenty of fishes.

"Don't you have canned goods or instant noodles?" Jaselle asked. She really wants to eat now and preparing food will take a while.

"No." answered Alke. He doesn't even know what that is. He pointed at a fish in the water and it floated. Then he striked it with a weak lightning. Immediately, the fish was cooked.

"Whoa" said Jaselle. With Alke's magic the cooked fish was now floating in front of Jaselle but she's not showing any signs of eating it.

"Don't you like it?" Alke asked.

"I like it, it's from you!" Jaselle immediately responded. "But... I want a stick". Alke now knows what she meant.

"Setor get a stick for Jaselle. Cut a whole tree if you need to." Alke ordered Setor.

"Fine, let's go to the trees Jaselle." Setor said.

"But the fish?" asked Jaselle.

"It will follow you, go." Alke replied

Jaselle took a few steps forward and yes the fish followed her, still floating. Jaselle started to run to the distant trees while having fun and Setor followed knowing whats going on.

The other two gods were left alone.

"Now what exactly do you know about Jaselle?" Alke asked Setoria.

"I'll tell you but promise me you'll reveal everything to Jaselle when she comes back. She must know it". Setoria replied.

" No". Alke replied domineeringly. "I plan to tell her important things but not things about me." said Alke.

"You really think she won't find out with her abilities?" Soteria reminded Alke about Jaselle's gift and how smart she is.

"It doesn't matter. I used her to avoid this war. She'll have a good life and that's all. As long as she's in my world, the others would turn a blind eye. She'll always be safe here from them. No one would want me as an extra enemy to be part in the war." Alke's confidence in making Jaselle safe seems to be extremely high. It's as if he has already thought things through for a long time.

//Jaselle and Setor//

"I don't see any small branch" said Jaselle.

Setor then replied "I can cut a tree down for you".

"Don't waste trees! That's bad." Setor didn't know how to respond. A god like him being taught by a little girl. It was funny in every angle for him.

The two walked a few minutes and all trees and branches seems to be big, thick and healthy. Not one is suited to poke a small fish. However, Jaselle still refused to cut down a tree.

*Bump*

Jaselle suddenly hit something. Upon touching, it seems that there's a wall painted with a realitic scenery. She never saw something this amazing before.

"It seems we reached the wall. And I thought of something as well". Soter summoned a crystal, shaped like the body of an arrow. "Here, just use this". He gave the crystal stick to Jaselle to be used as a fish holder. Jaselle didn't know if she would laugh or cry. All that walk for nothing.

"Here let me do it". Soter used the crystal stick and pierced the fish from the tail to its mouth. He then gave it to Jaselle.

Jaselle was about to get it with her right hand but she froze. Because she noticed that she still has the Mirror of Destiny in her right hand!

"I wasn't able to return it!" Jaselle said to Soter. "That's fine. It's Alke's fault for tranferring us without notice." Soter consoled the little girl. Upon seeing Jaselle's guilty look, he added "Finish your fish and I'll help you return it to Alke. He won't get mad at us." Jaselle smiled upon hearing what Soter said.

Jaselle ate the fish and they walked back to their original location when suddenly...

*Murmurs*

Jaselle started to hear a woman calling her.

"Do you hear anything?" asked Jaselle to Soter .

"No, why? Soter wondered.

"Nothing". Jaselle didn't mention it to Soter. She tried to find where the voices are coming from. She finally noticed that it's coming out from the mirror!

"It's not showing Alke's face. Could it be there's a different use for this?" Jaselle thought to herself. She placed the mirror near her ear. She then heard her name once more.

*Murmurs*

"Jaselle must know!"

A familiar voice of a woman was heard by her in the mirror. She unintentionally was able to listen to the conversation of Alke and Soteria.

//Alke and Soteria//

"What do you think will happen when she realizes you're stuck in this place because of this war? You're an ancient god! You're one of them which are fighting to be the ruler of all. The rules, this war, her purpose as a candidate, it's only a matter of time until she gets it." Soteria mentioned.

"Enough! She'll be safe here and that's that. No one will take interest in a Half-God." Alke ordered

"You're a fool. Her treasure, it's above God Rank." said Setoria.

Alke's mouth was about to speak but he couldn't rebut. That would explain why the treasures accepted Jaselle but were unable to merge with her. The treasures were unworthy!

"Not only that, she has two uniquely rare magic skills" Setoria added.

Alke replied quickly "And what of it? Even if she have more than ten it's not an issue."

"I saw it all in her memories. Those two are above God Rank..."

"And one of them... one is even the legendary... mutated magic... The one that initiated the jealousy of other ancient gods which started this war". Setoria explained to Alke everything she knows.

"Once a mutated magic user reached godhood. The mutated magic will evolve to miracle magic. It was already above God Rank before. Now that it evolved further to a miracle type magic, do you think gods will not take interest in her?". Setoria kept dropping bombs of information to Alke.

"If she's a Half-God, other ancients will not see you or her as a threat. But now even if you choose to make her stay away from the war, the war will inevitably come to her."

"She needs to understand her destiny and become stronger. She needs to become a candidate not to save you but to protect herself."

Setoria told everything she needs to say to Alke. Now it all depends in Alke's decision on how he would respond.
