Purple Robed man’s team fight continued...

Mal felt Liam's gaze, she let go of her feelings and turned stone cold. What happened next, was short of a miracle.

On Marks side, he was fighting alone and got slashed on his arms and thighs. Jolin side-stepped and knocked off the knife from mark's opponent that was aimed to finish Mark off with his surprise attack.

The cost to Jolin was that he got stabbed by the other opponent on his side but it didn't hit any critical organs thanks to grace verily being able to redirect the knife's direction. Because grace did this, she exposed her right side and knives were shot from the opponents left sleeves and she wasn't able to block all of them.

Right when the opponent saw grace redirecting the knife, he got his opportunity to attack with his left side. That is why Grace had to then use her right arm to cover whatever she couldn't get to. Unfortunately one knife landed on her arm. She cursed.

The three vs two opponents turned dangerous for mark, Jolin and grace. Grace was unable to help them much because if she did, it would keep exposing herself and thus she could only dare to do so if it was the last resort. Mark was verily holding off. His face was full of blood as well as Jolin's after taking the brunt of the force aimed at Mark. They were probably all concussed at this point. To make matters worse, the knives seemed to be laced with something because Grace's right hand seemed to slowly get worse and at some point she wouldn't be able to use it and thus wasn't able to help as much anymore.

On James' side, they started losing again when they got surprised by the hidden laced knives from underneath their opponents' sleeves. James wasn't fast enough to evade, Elena was grazed by one and it actually hit Storm. It turned out the real target was Stormy because the opponent knew she might be able to evade. Unluckily, it did graze her, allowing a bit of the substance to leak inside her skin. Just as they had all gotten used to the method and the characteristic of the attacks and could start their counterattack by finally using their number advantage as they were taught; this anesthetic effect had happened.

Tomlin and Birdin became vigilant when their opponents raised their sleeves. Thankfully the opponent didn't continued to use those weapons. It was at this time that Natalia was able to get a hold of a bow and just let her arrows rain on their two opponents. This kept them at bay and allowed their team to regain their footing so that they didn't continue to be beat down. This was especially important, after those hit with the laced knives had started feeling the effects and could only push harder. They would only be able to last another minute max, the reinforcement better arrive by then or they might lose someone quickly.

***** Mal's Side****

As Liam saw Mal, breaking away from the hold on her, and turn to subdue her opponent, he felt relieved for that split second even if he wouldn't see them again. However, at that same split second, he felt freed. The person he felt had jumped on his back was actually Navenia who had not directly jumped on his back but on the opponent who was on the back of Liam himself.

She performed some lightning quick snake grip with her legs on the opponents neck while twisting her body downwards with great force. In this way, she was able to free Liam from his opponents grasp, because the opponent had no choice but to twist the way Navenia was leading him or he would die too.

This was a special technique from Navenia, and she did not let him off. They were both battling on the ground and the opponent couldn't believe he wasn't able to free himself. He was also rapidly loosing strength and vitality. He was fainting.

Liam recovered and wanted to help Navenia finish the guy off but was cut off instead when he took his shaking dagger out. More people from the secret group had arrived and had aimed knives at his dagger's trajectory. However, they quickly covered their colleagues escape route because they saw members of Mal's team of instructors had arrived and were speedily arriving.

They made Navenia let go of her opponent when they threw daggers in her direction as well as aimed at Mal's critical points too and proceeded to pick their person. They couldn't waste time killing them because they seemed adamant on using their time to pick up and grab their colleagues. They ran away with Mal's opponent as well, who had broken arms and legs and who had at one point been thrown to their leader who could speedily run while carrying him without hindrance. They seemed to not want to leave much evidence behind.

Liam and everyone didn't bother confronting this new group of people because they knew they were no match for them and could only escape the warning knives paths. They rather use their leftover strength to survive and run on the direction of their instructors.

This secret team was again able to escape because they didn't lose time by finishing off Mark's or James' team. This was a miracle for them, and annoying for the instructors who had to prioritize the safety of the students and who couldn't follow suit. They quickly decided to treat and get the kids to safety when their scout shook his head. The instructors didn't have good expressions, especially considering that those students had burdened them.
