Flashbacks (Part 4) Kevin

Kevin, being the concerned neighbor and friend of Karl, upon knowing Karl's condition, responded and offered his help to Karl, even if nobody asked him to do so and even if he himself is suffering from cancer.

He was divorced and no child from his ex-wife. He was alone. No heir for all his wealth really. He has no one to take care of and now that he is sick with cancer, no one is taking care of him too. Karl and him have been good neighbors and good friends for 5 years already. Though he is a way older than Karl, the fact that they are both alone in each of their lives, have drawn them to confide with each other. Karl was like a son to him, and Kevin was like a father to Karl, type of friendship they have.

So when Karl met a vehicular accident and went into a comatose, even if he is sick, he is trying himself to be of utmost help.

He then, went inside Karl's house to try to find any ways he could possibly help. He knew some details about Karl's girlfriend from the Philippines. For Karl has been confiding to him about Mj, prior to his accident.

He then turned on Karl's personal computer and logged in to Karl's messenger, since it's set up to be automatically signed in, once the computer is turned on. He then scroll and look for Mj's conversations between Karl and her, and read some of it.

He sent a message to Mj, using Karl's account, informing her of Karl's accident and his state of coma. He never expected that she would respond quickly.

And so when Mj called in a video call, he was like starstruck of the beauty of Mj even with her sad and worried face, he could still see how beautiful Mj is.

Though he knows that Mj's heart belongs to Karl already, the fact that he began to develop feelings for her, and the fact that Karl is also his friend, it didn't stop him from offering help for both Karl and Mj, in anyway he could possibly do.

And upon hearing the doctor's updates on Karl's condition being in a coma, he then suggested to Mj a help he could possibly offer.

Though he didn't expect it much, but when Mj agreed on his offer to help her come to Belgium and marry him, a slight joy and hope crept into his heart. Though he knows that Mj was only doing it for the sake of her love for Karl, marrying him was enough for him then.

"Besides, I am dying anyway." He thought to himself.

So he made all the necessary preparations he has to do so Mj could come to Belgium. And she did.

True to their agreement, Mj married him and took care of him and at the same time took care of Karl as well.

Kevin never failed to shower Mj with his utmost love, respect and understanding. And in return, Mj respected him and cared for him too to some extent.

So that was the daily routine for the both of them then for nearly 1 year now. In the morning, Mj would go to the hospital to visit and care for Karl still unconscious, and then by lunchtime she comes home and takes care of Kevin too for the rest of the day and evening.

And though there were some physical touch as they caress each other, they never came to a point of getting intimate with each other, for Kevin knows that Mj's heart still belongs to Karl. So he has been controlling himself much not to touch Mj intimately. For he loves and respects her so much. Added to the fact that he is sick with cancer, somehow, it did help controlling himself then.

Yet, he never complained. He increased his understanding towards Mj. And Mj didn't complain too even if there were times that he have seen her tired, she never complained.

And so he have decided to put Mj as the sole heir of all his wealth.

The next morning when Mj had gone to the hospital to visit Karl, Kevin then called his lawyer.

"Attorney, I want you to make my last will and testament. Put Mj as my sole heir of all my properties and wealth."

"Okay, would that be all then Kevin?"

"Yes that would be all. Please have it done ASAP so I can sign it then without her knowing it yet. For you will only give it to her after I die."

"Okay I will have it done this morning and I will send my associate with the papers there to you so you can sign it right away."

"Okay, if you could, send it before lunchtime, for Mj will come back at lunchtime. I don't want her to get an idea about it nor see your associate bringing it."

"Okay, noted."

"Thanks, attorney."

"No problem."

They then hang up the call.

It was 11 in the morning when the lawyer's associate arrived and Kevin with a quick reading on it, he then signed it, and sent the associate away after.
