Ranking Test

The next morning came, I woke up later than I intended. At the entrance of the Academy people were littered everywhere. Elina said that new students would be tested based on their level and rank. People were called by group. My name wasn't called until there were only a few were left. I was escorted alone by a girl, not older than me, to the upper floor. Elina and I didn't go here. The girl knocked on the door and pushed the door. What awaited me was Elina and a girl sitting on the table in the middle. It was a black haired woman which her hair reached the floor, it was that long.

"Kagura, close the door and leave." said the woman. The girl bowed then left. After some time the woman looked at me. "It was nice to finally meet you Rain." the way she said it, was strange.

"Nice to meet you, too?"

Elina laughed like she was watching a funny scene. "Rain don't be nervous. She is also from Earth. Meet Frizzia. She is a prophet that could see the future though it is vague sometimes." Elina said gesturing to the woman who was smiling at me.

"I already foresaw that you would come here. It might be vague but I foresaw that another human from Earth would visit me today. I might not see the future of Elina but I could see yours even though its vague."

I nodded. If Elina said she was a con artist I would believe her. I trusted Elina as she trusted me. "So what am I doing here?"

"You would take the ranking test here. I would conduct it myself. People from Earth have different rank as them. We all have Evolving Abilities but our ranks and levels differed from them." She stood up and summoned an crystal orb. It was the same as a con artist of a prophet would use on Earth. "It is a ranking measuring device. Touch the orb." she said extending the crystal orb on my direction.

I did as what I have been told. When my hand was firmly on the crystal orb the orb glowed green, blue, red, black, white, purple and lastly gold then the orb produced a blinding white light. I closed my eyes and when I opened my eyes I could see the orb has the colors orbiting through it like it was coexisting. Frizzia drew a sudden breath that made me look at her. Elina also seemed shocked by it so I remained silent. Hoping that they would recover soon I looked at them expectantly.

Frizza coughed "It seems that you truly are exceptional. You really do have multiple abilities. They were graded differently. Green, Blue, Red, Black, White, Purple and Gold. F, E, D, C, B, A, S which was represented by their color. Yours was all of the kind. Mine was Purple while Elina, Linnie, and Hanz where gold. But yours, the color were all there. I don't know what it really meant but I could surmissed that it had to do with you being multiple ability user. You are the very first on us that have this phenomenon." Frizzia said with a smile. It was genuine. My strength was also their strength. "Elina was really telling the truth that someone appeared stronger than Hanz. With more practice I believed that you would surpass even Hanz. But for now you are just but a baby who only learned to crawl."

"Frizzia, please explain. I also don't understand it." Elina said walking to us. I retracted my hand and the light disappeared from the orb.

"Later I would, but it wouldn't help Rain if he heard it. He needed to grow it upon himself." Frizzia said to Elina but looking at me. Elina nodded and beckoned for me to go away. "Go back to your room. Kagura would fetch you. I still have another student to measure." I nodded and bid farewell to them.

Elina and Frizzia looked at each other and nodded. They understood it. The power inside Rain. It was one of a kind. Rain was the one they really were waiting for. Frizzia let Elina stay for the next student. Frizzia was first confused by the sudden request of Nifa Howell. She reported that the crystal was broken so she needed a new one to test others. Inside the report she also said that a man named Liam should be tested by her. Frizzia then realized the reason. The crystal orb that they gave to the city were only capable of measuring powers from the Aelvaard. The highest human from Aelvaard was only white if compared to the Earthian. A knock was heard from the door before it opened. Kagura gestured to the young man to enter then she closed the door and left.

The young man had a short black hair. Frizzia felt that he was really seeing someone from Earth who was stationed at a military. Frizzia took out the crystal orb. She instructed the young man to touched the orb. What happened next shocked her. Like Rain, the young man reached the gold level, but that wasn't all. Unlike Rain, the orb contained three golden light that orbitted the orb. Shocked by it. Frizzia and Elina talked at the same time and said...

"You are..."

Elina and Frizzia called me before the sun set. Frizzia gestured me to sit so I sat.

"You would be having all the classes according to Elina. Your day would start at early and end at night. It might be taxing but you also needed to train at night after classes." Frizzia said to me while giving me papers. "This is your schedule starting next week. We decided to give you a blue uniform. You would start at D rank. D rank mid level. It would not raise any suspicion and also would not endanger you. It might not match your power but hold back as much as you can. Only use your 2nd and last ability. Understood?" with the seriousness and heaviness of her tone I soon realized that it was real. It was real life and death no matter what. It was the reason why I was tested alone. Frizzia said that the one man rank testing was also done by nobles or someone recommended by a high ranking order so it was not a surprise if I had an average rank. They made that set up so the future Earthian would not get any suspicion from the other students.

They took a lot of precaution so I wouldn't be so stupid to expose them. I nodded and took a look at the paper. The schedule started at 9am and ended at 7pm. There were 6 classes. Summoning, Melee Combat, Range Fighting, Spirit, Elemental, and Theory.

"We decided for you to took all the classes for you to devise a counter when you fought others. It was a necessary information so I believed that you would take it seriously. The classes all had an hour and a half. Breakfast at eight in the morning, lunch break at twelve , dinner at seven. You may go." Frizzia said then gestured for me to go. I stood up. Elina didn't say anything as if she was not there throughout the discussion.

I left the room and saw a young man taller than me who was being escorted by Kagura, the young girl with a pink hair, and soon arrived in front of me. We looked at each other for a while. My heart felt heavy like it was being crushed but it was not. The gaze of the young man somewhat made me cautious. He was strong, stronger than me. My hands shook at the pressure of his eyes. The young man smiled and bowed before looking at Kagura. They proceeded to walk at the door but before they could finally arrived at the door, the young man looked back and said...
