The day after, everyone went hiking around the woods at a specific route. Sanyu walked alongside with Ayumi while Mae walked behind them. Kaya walked faster to catch up with Ayumi, she didn't want to talk to Yuuto nor look at him.
Sona walked with Yuuto instead. She looked up at him and asked, "You seem down?" "Why's it your business? Leave me alone," he replied in a cold voice. "Tch, what a Delinquent you surely are. No wonder why you don't really have friends," she flipped her hair to the back of her shoulder. Yuuto pushes her away and walked faster, "I don't have time to be dealing with someone like you." Sona looked down, "somehow.. for some reason.. I feel like there's still a piece of me that still likes you."
Kaya patted Ayumi's shoulder, "I've finally caught up with you and Sanyu!" Ayumi smiled, "Were we walking a bit too fast? I'm sorry." Sanyu laughs, "Do you want to walk with us?" "I don't mind it if I'm third wheeling here, I don't want to be with Yuuto nor do I even want to see that dude," she crossed her arms and pouts her lips. "Did you two fight?" Sanyu asked. Ayumi nodded her head honestly to answer for Kaya. Sanyu left it as it, he didn't want to cross the lines asking why and how did the fight happened.
Yuuto walked behind them, he was minding his own business, thinking about other things and just causally walking slowly while being precise on where he's stepping. Kaya goes over to Sanyu and whispers, "I like Yuuto, but he's too harsh on me." Sanyu jokes, "Aren't you a bit harsh on him too?" Ayumi laughed.
"Let's be careful from here on! We'll be crossing this big stream!" The teachers in front yelled. The students were all cautious as they slowly walked across the big stream. On the rocks there were some slippery algae. Kaya slipped and twisted her ankle, she cried in pain. "Kaya!! Are you okay?!!" Ayumi slowly rushed back towards her. Sanyu carefully rushes back to help Kaya and to make sure that Ayumi too, didn't slip.
Ayumi helped Kaya stand up, "Are you hurt anywhere?" She worried. "I think I twisted my ankle.. it hurts.." Kaya light weight cried. "I can help carry you back," Sanyu told her.
Yuuto comes by and carries Kaya like how a groom would carry his bride, "Don't touch her, I'll take care of it." He carefully crossed the stream as he carried Kaya in his arms. Sanyu and Ayumi looked at each other. "No matter how I see it, it just seems that Yuuto too, likes Kaya," Ayumi whispered to Sanyu. He nodded his head, "Agreed." They then hurriedly crossed the stream to catch up with the others.
Kaya did not look up at Yuuto, she held her head down the whole time he carried her. He scoffed, "I helped you and don't even get a 'thank you' back, how nice." She glanced at him, "Am I heavy? If I am, just let me go, I'll try to walk." "Yes you're a fatass I feel like falling back. But do you seriously think I'd let you down in this condition? 'Friends should take care of each other' you say that all the time. Is it wrong for me to care for you when you're hurt?" He replied.
Her heart raced, "Still, if I'm heavy you shouldn't carry-" He cut her sentence off, "Just shut up and let me do my job here, BRAT." Somehow, she felt happy, even though she didn't want to see Yuuto because of the little fight they had last night, seeing him help her out like this made her happy.
After the long hike, everyone returned to the campsite and rest. The teacher helped bandaged Kaya's ankle. "You're alright right? Please tell me you are!" Ayumi worried over Kaya's injury. "Yes yes, I'll be fine. Don't worry too much about me," Kaya smiles at her.
Yuuto and Sanyu sat together at a bench nearby the girls. "So, whats up with you?" Sanyu asked him. "Am I really mean?" Yuuto questioned. "Ehhh~ I don't think you are, but you make people misunderstand you for sure that's what I know," Sanyu answered honestly. Yuuto lies his head down on the wooden bench table, "I think Kaya hates me."
Sanyu looked over at him, "Why's that?" "She's been avoiding me the whole day, we fought last night and I got her mad. She probably hates who I am," he tells him. Sanyu remembered her words 'I like Yuuto, but he's too harsh on me.' He laughs, "Don't think too much, you'll be alright." "As if you'd know," Yuuto annoyingly talks back.
"Why not just apologize to her? Then everything will be back to normal?" Sanyu tells him. "I just want to be closer to her.. if I apologize will that work? What do I do? Tell me Sanyu," he asks. "Why not just say sorry and talk it out for a more clearer understanding between the two of you?" Sanyu says. Yuuto sighs, "To be honest, I don't want to lose a friend like her, she means a lot to me."
Sanyu smiles, "You like her don't you~~?" Yuuto widens his eyes, "Do I?" "At least that's what it seems to me," he laughs. Yuuto's heart beats fast, "I like Ayumi!" "No you don't, she's mine now. You can't have her," Sanyu suddenly looked at Yuuto. "I'm sure that I will take Ayumi back," he says. Sanyu raises an eyebrow, "I'll take that answer as Kaya not Ayumi." He leaves Yuuto alone at the bench and walks to Ayumi.
Yuuto begins to think all kinds of things now. His mind is not clear, rather it is cloudy. "Ah, seriously what the hell.. it's making me crazy.." he tells himself. Kaya looks over at him from afar, "Whenever its time, I will." Ayumi smiled, "Good luck!!"
