Too Much Greediness Results to More Losses

With the Key of the mansion in my hand, I summon Leona and fly towards the Mansion. It would take me a few days game time if I walk and run to reach it.

The Mansion of The Magician Duke was big and grandiose. It was located near the Sea of Luna which looks relaxing to watch especially during the Luna Lux, an event that occurs once a year in the game which is celebrated by all players. One of the best places to watch that phenomenon would be the Mansion of the Magician Duke. If not for the vines and clear black spots on the walls with the addition of the overgrown lawn, this place would look magnificent.

I landed not too far from the mansion and recalled Leona back. I scanned around my surroundings before going to the gates of the mansion. Just as I was about to go, I sense danger.

Peng!

I slashed the incoming arrow with great precision that it got sliced into two. A notification appeared after that arrow.

"You are attacked. You can retaliate to your attackers without penalty. The attackers will have 100% equipment drop rate and 50% double equipment drop rate when killed"

"Sh*t! He deflected it!" A nearby Hunter shouted.

The nearby players slowly appeared. PK players since their names are tarnished with scarlet color, and since they are attacking me openly, they are really looking for trouble. There are five hunters, ten Assassins, seven Ninjas and Three Clerics. Lowly bandits with level around 20.

"The information was right! A rich tycoon appeared in this area!" one of the ninjas brandish his danger like some sort of thug, although it was really awkward to look at.

I calmly looked at them. I really can't take this kind of stuff. I am not a fan of players provoking others just to steal. I sighed, and even though my face and the game name is hidden, these guys are still trying to provoke me. Greediness really is a human nature.

"What are we waiting for? Beat him up and send him to cathedral!" one of the Hunters shouted and prepared to cast Thousand Arrows to kill me.

I did not hesitate and pull out my Terraform Blade out and sprinted fast enough that they barely saw me. One of the clerics were not able to react on time when I struck his back, although, he didn't die, his HP fell to critical levels.

"Earth Fissure!" I cast the skill while the Terraform Blade is still inside his body.

"Urk!" he spit out blood before his body expanded and explode.

Bang! His body was torn to pieces, his body parts and blood rained. I did not bother with the Hunters much as they can only inflict measly damage to me. I faced the female cleric who was chanting revive and changed my Terraform Sword into a Samurai Sword.

"Battou Rending Blade!"

The slash was strong and she was in the middle of chanting , of course she can't defend. Her body splits into two after killing her. I turned into the last Cleric and before his Revive Chant was finished, I raised my hands and aimed it to him.

"Thunderbolt!"

The chant was immediately interrupted and before he can react, my sword meets his face and stab his face without hesitation and twist the sword while in his face.

Kill!

The last cleric died with great pain before he fell and turned into fragments of data. I flick off the blood plastered in the blade and look at the remaining players.

"Who is next?"

Everyone shivered but they steeled their nerves and attack me.

"Kill him! Its impossible he won't fall down with us ganging him up! Tear his flesh to pieces!" the Assassin who looks like the leader of this ragtag group rallied his forces to me.

"Oooooh!" Everyone shouted and brandish their weapons.

"Pathetic," I mumbled before pulling three bottles of Flame Splash and Three bottles of Poison Splash.

"Die slowly!" I shouted and throw the splashes to them.

Crack! Crack! Crack! Crack! Crack! Crack!

The contents of the bottles escaped when. it hit them and even their defensive stance were useless. Its a continuous AOE attack.

"Sh*t! What are these! My HP is falling fast!"

"Get away from the area of the attack quick!"

Players scrambled around trying to escape but before they can even properly escape, I was already waiting for their movements away from the splash effects.

Kill!

I successfully attacked their fatal parts and when my blade slashed into their necks and lop off their heads, all of their HP fell to zero.

A few players were terrified and started escaping.

"Who said someone can escape!?" I transformed my sword into a gun and shot the fleeing players.

"Aaah! He is a Versatile! We are doomed!" one of the Hunters shouted before a bullet penetrated his brain and break his skull.

The leader was furious that he also participated into the battle. He leap and while holding his blade up in the air, he attacks me from above. However, before he can even do a single damage to me, he was killed when my spear impaled his neck, killing him instantly. Seeing their leader die without difficulty, the whole group lost their Morale and quickly scamper away.

I resummoned Leona.

"Hunt the remaining players that just escaped, I don't care how you do it," I commanded.

Leona roared before flying in search for the stragglers. Soon, I can hear random shouts of players being killed. Meanwhile I looked around and pick up some of the weapons and armors that those dumb thieves dropped. Most of them are quite Normal. I didn't hesitate to let my sword devour them all. They are not that worth it to sell and it would be worth as good foundation for additional power for my Versatile Weapon.

Leona didn't take too long from her rampage and married carrying a small bag full of weapons and armors that the escaping players dropped. Where did she get the bag anyway? Did it dropped by one of the players or did she ripped it off by herself?

Anyway, all of them are quite trashy except for a necklace. It was a Very Rare Necklace.

"Lux Necklace" (Fragmented)

Equippable at Level 20

INT: 30

DEX: 30

Special Trait: Cleanse: Heals the wearer with any kind of Special Debuffs. Cooldown: 7 hours

Rarity: Very Rare

Description: A necklace used for the Luna Lux phenomenon. It was divided and its power is not what it used to be. Can be used to open a temple sunken in the middle of the Sea of Luna along with the Luna Necklace. Fuse the Luna Necklace to the Lux Necklace to unlock its true power.

Somehow, I kind of remember this item, though I am not sure since I have not encountered this thing in my past timeline. According to the information, this is just a weak version of the necklace and will only show the true power once it will get united by its other half which would be the Luna Necklace.

I equipped it, replacing the Core of the Elemental Slime. I will be selling this necklace later, it will give me a good profit of gold which would be an additional amount to purchase this mansion later on. As for the whereabouts of the Luna Necklace, I really don't have any idea where it was located or what mob will drop it. That player who owned this necklace might have just picked it up on a chest or something and just equipped it on a whim, I also think he or she will sell it once he or she got a better one. However, I on the other hand knows that this is not some normal necklace. A Very Rare necklace is hard to come by and even though it has a trashy stat, its special trait was quite good. That player who owned this necklace might be so furious or crying on losing this one. Alright, I will be taking note of that sunken temple, that might be a worthwhile place to explore in the future. For now, lets focus on the mansion for now.

...

The players who attacked Bladeheart earlier were now revived back to the Capital's Cathedral. All of them have those missing equipments that dropped after their deaths. They began on checking their losses and was greatly shocked.

"No! My Rare Armor! I lost it!"

"My dagger! Sh*t, the poison attribute of my dagger is lost!"

Everyone are looking glum, even the leader were so furious as his Very Rare armor dropped. If he knows that Bladeheart regarded his precious Ver Rare tier Armor as trashy equipment and just let his sword devour it, he might have vomited blood and faint. They regard it with great treasure and someone view it as worthless? That is a huge blow to their pride!

One of the Female Ninjas with them screamed after knowing what dropped.

"The Lux Necklace! Its gone! Our treasure that our guild coveted is gone!" her eyes are reddish!

The leader grieved more after hearing it. Instead of gaining anything, they lost a lot and even the rare key that they have was also dropped. If they tried to take it back forcefully, they might lose more again. Their greed was paid tenfold by taking their precious items. What is more, they lost a level after dying. No wonder he was a tycoon, he can kill everyone without batting an eyelid to them.
