The first day

The first day after their contractual marriage began.... The day that marked the start of their new life. From now on everything that happened will shape their future whether good or bad, with a happy ending or with regrets in life. All that was stored for them will be revealed as time goes on. Does anyone have the power to go against the flow of time to fight for their happiness and to correct their decisions so as to leave no regrets on life?? Only time has these answers and for that, they have to wait and follow time...

That day was as always for Dheer. He went to the office and did his usual office work. But for Anaya, everything was new as she had moved to a new city after marriage and had joined a new hospital. New faces, new people, and a new beginning. How she felt no one knew.

She had cried all night before. Like every girl she too had dreams and dreamt about her life partner. When her parents announced her marriage to her like every girl she was curious about him, had asked about him, and tried to understand him. So that they would not feel incompatible with each other. She hadn't hoped that he would fell in love with each other at first sight but still had hoped that they could start as being friends and left the rest to the time. As they had a life worth time to fall in love.

But never in her wildest dreams had she imagined her first night to be like this. The day she had been waiting for, had been nervous about and imagined numerous situations they would be in, none of them were near what actually happened. How she went through that conversation only she knew. How she felt her tongue-tied how shocked she felt no one had any idea. She didn't know what to say, how to answer. At last, she could only think of a way that seemed plausible to today's independent women, chasing her dreams.

What Dheer didn't know was that Anaya's parents despite living in the little village were quite educated and believe in women empowerment. They never stopped Anaya from pursuing her dreams and had given her complete freedom. Being with such understanding parents how was it possible that she had some incomplete dreams. It was just that she knew that Dheer was not wrong and he would feel horrible and would blame himself for ruining her life that she has said what she had.

She didn't want to show anyone her weak side and wanted to keep her dignity even just a bit. So she had laughed it out at that time. But no one knew how hard she cried all night. She didn't blame Dheer for it. She was just upset with her fate. She was suspecting whether she deserved any happiness. Was it all happening to her because of what happened 4 years ago?

A chill ran down her spine as she thought about that time. It was the past that she wished she could remove from her memory forever. She didn't want to remember it so she just shrugged that memory and watched the contract that was in front of her. Sadness and helplessness drowning her once again and her pillow begin to get wet once again.

The next day she woke up early and behaved as if nothing happened. Whether it was a blessing or a curse that how much she cried it never showed any signs on her face, so Dheer felt relieved after seeing that she was alright and hadn't been crying. They decided to stay together for the contract time so that their parents wouldn't suspect anything. Even when their parents didn't live in their city, Dheer's parents still had their eyes watching them. Especially his mom. So knowing his mom's nature, he decided it's best to stay together for the time being.

After having breakfast they both headed to their respective work as if they were strangers sharing a house....
