Cole floated down through the dark sky towards Lila's home, ignoring Spencer's shouts after him. It was difficult and strange for him to understand how Spencer had already grown so close to humans. Close enough for them to fall in love with him or for him to love them. Cole shook his head thinking to himself, no love took time it couldn't happen over a matter of days. Cole smiled to himself. He was excited by this newfound opportunity to tease his peer. Cole landed gracefully on her doorstep. He let out a sigh and turned on the charm. He tried to look casual as he knocked on the door. He was swift and rapped against the door with the backside of his knuckles a specific three times.
Lila fell down the stairs an opened the door with her hair in a mess, in a robe and pajamas with floppy eared bunny slippers on her feet. The glare with shadows under her eyes said it all. Unable to hold it back Cole's face took an expression of shock.
"Are you okay?" He asked with concern.
"Yeah, I'm okay and who are you?" Lila asked oozing sarcasm. Cole was taken a little aback. He decided to try and recover this first impression.
"You know what, this is already on the wrong foot. I'm moving in with Isaac and Spence next door and just wanted to let you know. Sorry for bothering you ma'am. Lila nodded.
"So, the three of you are all living together?"
"Mhm... Why is that weird?" Lila shook her head and began to close the door.
"No just weird that two alpha males can get along." As the door closed before him he smiled to himself. Alpha? Equal to Spencer. That sounded good. A cruel smile enveloped his face and he turned away and walked across the lawn to Isaac's. He walked in on them pulling away from each other laughing.
"So, I'm really going to have to live here. And I was serious about Cole rooming too." Isaac choked on his laughter.
"What?" Cole could hear NANI??? In his head and he laughed out loud unable to hold it in. Isaac looked up at Cole in shock.
"No." Cole was gasping for breath when he heard the response. He gathered himself his chest moving up and down with his breaths. Cole looked at Isaac a little unsure.
"What do you mean 'No'?" Spencer asked confused.
"I mean, I don't have two extra beds lying around." Cole smiled and relaxed.
"Oh, well that's not a problem." Spencer responded easily.
"What do you mean?" Isaac asked cluelessly.
"We don't need any beds, rooms or food even really. I mean we can get smelly, but that's about it. All we need is cover." Cole responded. Isaac furrowed his brow in confusion and Spencer clapped his hand on Isaac's shoulder as he stood.
"Sounds like it's settled then." He said lightly to the room. "Cole, you're on dinner duty."
Cole frowned slightly, but moved into the kitchen and began his masterful work.
