Reunion

Jayne's face lit up. "Hubby, you've a surprise for me? Yippie!"

With her Mickey Mouse t-shirt, she looked so adorable that Ronnie lovingly tousled her hair and embraced her. He then turned her around, "There…"

Jayne followed Ronnie's direction and looked up.

He was pointing towards a couple standing near the entrance of the Waiting Lounge.

Jayne looked at Ronnie with confusion. Her eyes narrowed. "Ron, who are they? Why are they crying?"

Jayne frowned as she studied the couple before her. They looked like they were of almost the same age as Ronnie's parents. They were both Indians. Jayne subconsciously touched her face. She felt like like she was a mirror image of the couple before her.

Without waiting for Ronnie to answer, Jayne hobbled along towards the couple. Her eyes were so full with tears that they could drop down her rosy skin any moment. Each step Jayne took felt very heavy.

"My baby!" The woman hugged her tight and began venting out all her pent up emotions for her daughter.

On hearing it, Jayne was trying hard to fight back her tears. She felt like she was in a daze and all this was a dream.

The man beside the woman joined them. "We finally found you my child. I thank heavens for giving us such a wonderful son-in-law."

Jayne didn't fully know what was happening. But now, tears flowed down her cheeks continuously. Without knowing, she even uttered "Mama!"

"Mama.. I-I t-thought I'd nobody…b-because nobody came in search of me…I'm so bad… I didn't even recognise my own parents...." Jayne stuttered in between sobs in her mother-tongue.

Jayne herself was surprised at the way she was reacting. But right now, she didn't want to think about that. After all she'd gotten back her parents and the bond between parents and children is something that can never be described.

Maya's mom hushed her, "Shh beta*... It's all fine now. Don't worry. We're all here."

Maya's dad looked at her Mickey Mouse t-shirt and had a rare smile filled with love and guilt. He spoke up, "Beta, you haven't changed one bit!" He lovingly hugged his daughter.

He kissed her head and spoke, "I don't even deserve to be apologising you beta. I failed as a father." He couldn't bring himself to speak further as Ronnie had already warned him not to bring up anything regarding her past life including her name.

"Paapa** what are you talking! Please stop it!" She hugged her dad and cried.

"You both won't leave me and go away right?" Jayne asked obviously insecure.

"We'll never repeat that mistake ever again beta!" Maya's mom answered her.

Ronnie felt a twisting pain in his heart to see his wife crying so much. But, he didn't stop her. He very well knew they were Maya's pent up tears of her childhood days which were finally finding it's outlet today. He just stood and gave them some family time.

Then Jayne asked her mother, "Mama? What my name? How unfortunate that I don't even remember my name." She hugged her.

Jayne's mother helplessly turned towards Ronnie for help. She mouthed, "What do I do now?"

Ronnie interrupted and spoke up. "Jayne, won't you bring your parents home? Do you want to send them back from the airport itself?"

Jayne looked at Ronnie and giggled, "I can't thank you enough baby. Yes, let's get back home! This is undoubtedly the best gift of my entire life hubby. Thank you!" She looked at him with tear-filled eyes.

She then held on to her mother on one side and dad on the other while walking back to the car.

Seeing the reunion of Maya with her parents, Ronnie's eyes glistened. Only he knew how much he'd searched for her parents and brought them together here.

The Bhats were living separately all this while. Neither of them re-married. They were both living a dejected, lonely life in spite of having a family.

Ronnie met Maya's father, Mr Amar Bhat first. He spoke to him and narrated the entire sequence of events. He made sure not to reveal any of the details of his daughter's dark past to him after he left her.

Ronnie didn't want anybody else to suffer anymore. Right now, he was the only person who knew everything about it which was the biggest advantage. He didn't want to bring it up anymore.

He wanted to make sure that all of their lives would be filled with happiness and no painful memories of the past anymore. Therefore, he decided to take this secret of Maya along with him to his grave.

After all, right now the most important task was to reunite the family. Therefore, he only described everything that happened after he found her, and how she'd lost her old memories.

Later, they both went to meet Maya's mother,  Mrs. Sona Bhat. Ronnie finally united the couple. Then they narrated the same to her after which the couple readily agreed to go to London with him.

He had also instructed them not to bring up anything about her childhood, and their dark memories. He also told them that he himself would answer all her queries at the appropriate time.

Seeing the happy family again, Ronnie was satisfied that his hardwork indeed brought him the desired result.

Maya's guardian angel, her lovely grandma who was watching everything from above, finally felt her soul at peace on looking at the reunion of her family.
