Decision

The queen ordered the restoration of the affected areas in the village. She was aided by the people and her subordinates. An advisor was always there to help and guide her through her decisions. The queen offered help to the needy.

She visits the village every now and then. And everytime she visits the village, she always looked for the only blonde villager, Aiomi. Ever since she saw him, she felt something for the lad. The village chief saw that, " Your highness, I noticed that everytime you visit our village, your eyes are only for Aiomi."

"T-that's not true..." she was surprised

" You can't hide it, my queen." he said politely then, he slowly walked away.

The queen can no longer stay at the village, she can't accept the fact that she has fallen in love for Aiomi...

A week has passed, the heroes were called privately. The queen approached them, she requested Aiomi to be her husband and the kingdom's king.

He was surprised at that statement, he asked the queen why. She said that he possesses the traits of a King: Courage, Love for his family and nation, knowledgeable, and most of all trustworthy.

Aiomi closed his fists, everybody wants to be king except him. Hikaru was beside him, both of them were kneeling on one leg and bowing their head to show respect.

Aiomi raised his head, his blue eyes were staring on Destiny's eyes, "I do not want to be king." Aiomi said while controlling his anger.

He pointed Hikaru instead, "Here is your king, he also has those traits." Hikaru was surprised about his brother's decision, he maintained on his position while staring at his brother. He felt he was sold to her. Destiny was the same age as Aiomi, she was five years older to Hikaru, yet she has no choice...

Queen Destiny, who was almost teary - eyed, maintained her calmness despite of being rejected. Though stammerring she asked him, "Why do you not want to be king?"

"It's too much for me" he shortly replied as he bowed his head again.

Further arguments were held, it took them a year before the advisers decided to make Hikaru as king. The royal coronation was held after a week of preparation. The queen can't hide the sadness in her heart, but she must continue to serve her the nation as well as her husband.

She was staring at herself in the mirror, "You can learn to love him, Destiny." she whispered... The couple rarely see each other, slept in different rooms and never talked to each other unless necessary.

At first, Hikaru experienced almost all hardships, yet he was helped by the advisers. He didn't stopped to learn things. Days after his coronation, Hikaru ordered the full restoration of the kingdom, he educated people on different ways to earn a living: livestocks, fisheries, blacksmiths, etc.

Few weeks after, people started to raise livestock, fishponds were built and different crops were grown on the fields. Some males opened up a blacksmith shop, a boutique, a flower shop and more. The kingdom has expanded and flourished under his management. Destiny and the people were amazed by his skills in managing a kingdom.

Hikaru became a great king at the age of 18. Destiny was always there by his side. He lived with her as a sister, not as a wife nor a partner. He never loved her. Hikaru's brother, Aiomi visits them sometimes, he gives them offerings he gathered and picked from their farm. Aiomi took good care of their father who was at that time was near death. When Hikaru learned this, he immediately left the palace with the best physician to help his father be cured.

Life isn't always perfect, he also experiences issues in life. Hikaru even dared to cheat on his wife but his conscience roars. He can't even be with the woman he loved, because of the bond between him and the queen. Because of his never ending problems he started to drink liquors, he always end the day drunk. Some servants saw this and were worried about him. Some servants waited for Hikaru to pass out before they carry him to his room,

He never touched Destiny, nor went to her room. Every night when he is roaming and pass by her room, he would hear her cry. He knows Destiny loved Aiomi so much, but Aiomi rejected her. Hikaru respected her so much that even after marriage he did not do anything to her.

Months have passed and Destiny learned to love her king. She supported him in evey ways she could. He stayed the same, the most he can do with Destiny was hold her hands.

He continued his vice. The servants were used to this.

One night , while drunk he went to Destiny's room. He was dizzy, he was leaning on her door while holding his drink. He stares to her with desire. He emptied the bottle and walked to her place. She can smell the strong scent of liquor on his breath, her heart was pounding, he never came to her like this. He stare at her, and she looked at his hazel eyes. He leaned forward her and he started kissing her lips and she too kissed him back. His lips were soft and this was the first time he kissed her. He held her head and slowly assisted her down to her bed. He caressed her gently, he started removing her garments and gently kissed her breast, she let out soft moans. She knows this might never happen again, she wishes that after this night everything will change. He removed his robe and continued to make love with her.

Morning came and Hikaru woke up because of his headache, he was covered by a comforter and Destiny was lying on his chest. His hands wrapped around her. They were both naked. His head ached, and he suddenly remembered what had happened. Destiny wakes up and he started apologizing but it is no help. "It is fine your highness" she said while covering herself. Hikaru rose up, got dressed and left her room. She smiled as it was the first time Hikaru became a husband to her. She felt her knees were shaking when she tried to stand up. When she stood up to get dressed she saw bloodstains on her bedsheet.

The next day, she visited her father's grave and told him the things that happened, she was happy and she can't contain it.

As months passed, Hikaru and Aiomi's father gained strength and was almost cured. They gave him a big white dog named Hilda.

Three months passed, the queen was found pregnant, the kingdom rejoiced except for the king. Destiny became uncomfortable and short tempered, everybody tries to understand her. She became careful on her actions and eat healthy foods. The physician visits her daily to check up on her and the baby.

Months later, Destiny who was 7 months pregnant, suddenly disappeared.

Every citizen in the kingdom became gloomy. They searched everywhere, even the king's search team has failed.

Everyday felt like time went slow, life seems meaningless. Hikaru became gloomy, sometimes grumpy.

He misses how Destiny smiled at him, he misses how she greets him every morning, she missed her. Now, he regrets that he took her for granted and he remembered that his wife was pregnant. He quitted his drinking vice and continued to search for her, he always forgets to eat and rest, luckily he has his older brother to look for him.

"You must stay strong, your highness." Aiomi advised him

Hikaru began to be silent, he began to be gloomy, he let the advisers and the prime minister to partially rule the kingdom.

He always stays at the pond, from that day they never heard a word from the king,he stopped smiling, he doesn't want to eat either. Hikaru was so depressed, the search team of the kindom never stopped to search for the queen, this continued for months until something strange occured...
