It took sometime after Han Meixiu recovered herself.

"Closed?" She asked again as if she misheard what Aunt Jing said.

"Yes, Miss. It was closed down. Some said it was because of bankruptcy other said it was because they're operating some illegal transactions." Aunt Jing explained. For someone like Han Meixiu who had just arrived less than a month in K Country, she wouldn't be familiar with this unless someone gave her information.

'The reason was unclear why the White Peony Agency closed down.' She concluded. Would it mean she couldn't get further leads because it's no longer in operation?

"Miss Han, if I may, I advise you to avoid the person who gave you the idea of hiring from White Peony Agency. Though they already closed down, they might be operating somewhere secretly. That kind of company would surely not give you decent personnel." She worriedly and cautiously continued. She normally wanted to tell her about what happened to her daughter but the young lady who looked so fragile might be scared off. She could only give warnings to prevent others from harming her.

"I don't plan of hiring anyone, now." She immediately answered as she sensed Aunt Jing was getting worried. She then pondered on the possibility that, yes, they might still be operating secretly but the question would be: How would she be able to confirm?

Her questions keep on growing in numbers but the answers were getting scarce by the minute.

Q City.Han Family's Main House

Han Huang, the head of Han Family was extremely surprised when his assistant told him that the second young master of Liu family wanted to see him.

Although it was a bit early, he didn't mind. Even if it's midnight he would definitely accommodate Liu Zijian. The Liu family was simply a family one couldn't afford to neglect as they're one of the most influential families not just in Q City but in the entire country.

The main family of the Liu head has two sons. Based from what he knew, the older one was in charge of scouting other businesses to expand their empire while the younger was the one managing the existing businesses. He's not actually sure what other businesses the Liu Family has but the service and leisure industries were no doubt their monopoly.

His feelings was getting more and more elated as he hastily walked towards his study where the second young master Liu was waiting. It was a rare case to encounter Liu Zijian as the one who mostly represent the Liu Family in any social gathering was Liu Zilong.

The few gatherings that the Second Young Master Liu attended ended up a bit controversial as there would always be a rumor how he badly treated women. But nobody actually confirmed the truth.

Even though he was puzzled why he suddenly visited, he's actually hopeful that it would be business related. Maybe the Liu's wanted to collaborate with the Han? There was no other reason why a distinguished persona like Liu Zijian would visit early in the morning if not for an immediate deal.

If they could indeed collaborate or secure a contract with the Lius, his problem of surviving in the ever fast changing IT industry would simply be solved. He didn't need to wait for the Chen family to grace them with a mere few contracts.

Right, he also has the Chen Family. With these two big clans, the Han family would be surely elevated to the crème of the crop families in Q City.

It never occurred to him the possibility that he might have been offended the Liu Family as he simply didn't want to. He didn't have the guts and he basically didn't want to drive his clan to a point of no return.

He took a deep breath and composed himself to look dignified despite being extremely excited. He knew in the business world; never wear your emotions so the other party could not take advantage of you. He has to control and conduct himself properly.

When he opened the door and walked in, he stopped for a moment. He actually doubted if the room was indeed his study as the presence of Liu Zijian seemingly owned the entire room.

Liu Zijian was standing in front of the Han Family portrait. He looked regal with his hands both casually tucked inside his pocket.

"What an honor to be visited by the Second Young Master of the Liu Family." The old Han greeted him as he modulated his to produce a business-like sound.

"Han Meixiu." Liu Zijian simply said without gracing him even a single glance. His eyes were still fixated to the family portrait.

"Huh?" He was taken aback. 'Does he know Han Meixiu? Is he asking why that girl wasn't in the portrait?' He wanted to confirm first before he could explain why she wasn't there.

"Does Second Young Master Liu friends with Han Meixiu?" He cautiously said. Though it would be next to impossible since they don't belong in the same age group as Liu Zijian was older there's no harm in trying to probe.

Also, this young man has almost zero interaction with women, that girl Han Meixiu wasn't also sociable to begin with. It would be impossible for them to meet in a social gathering. As he continued to try to connect how Liu Zijian knew Han Meixiu, the young man answered him that almost made him blackout.

"She's my wife." He responded and moved a step slightly to look to the old man who was clearly shocked beyond belief.

Liu Zijian's next words, made him tremble involuntarily as tremors quickly engulf his being.

"I've heard she was married off without her consent?"

In Liu Zijian's eyes there was a clear indication of threat as he said those words. His voice was eerily calm and cold. As he advanced towards the old man, his steps sounded like a drum of death in Han Huang's ear.
