Confrontation

Stealthily making his way towards where he had seen the group, he came upon a young man being surrounded by a group who clearly had bad intentions.

The closer he got, the clearer he heard their conversation.

He pasted his back onto the wall right behind them, his figure seemingly melting into the dark shadows.

"Wu Shang Tang, do you think that pretty little face of yours can save you now?"

"Who told you to hit on boss' girl, huh?"

"Talk less. Let's just beat him."

One of them cracked his knuckles menacingly.

"Right right. I wonder what the girls in school will think of our little prince here after we spread his naked pictures everywhere."

"He's too scared to even reply!"

The group laughed loudly amongst themselves, not paying any attention to their surroundings.

They started to move slowly towards Wu Shang Tang, some dragging metal bats against the concrete, creating a constant clanking sound.

The young man stood still, his expression not seen where Jia Bi Yu was.

Jia Bi Yu couldn't stay hidden any longer and quickly stepped out from the shadows, purposely making his presence known by those in front.

Hearing sounds from behind, the gangsters' steps halted and alarmingly turned back.

Upon seeing a young beautiful lady, they couldn't help but swallow a mouthful of saliva, their eyes greedily studying him from head to toe.

Jia Bi Yu felt a sense of disgust from their stares and squinted his eyes as he glared at them.

"Hey pretty lady, it's dangerous to go out all alone at night."

"How about coming with us big brothers? We'll take you somewhere fun."

"We'll protect you from the bad guys."

[Bad guys? It sounds very convincing coming from them...]

He couldn't stand their nonsensical chatter any longer and started to walk slowly towards the group.

Their eyes held a glint of excitement at his actions as that area of their pants started to feel tighter and tighter.

As Jia Bi Yu moved towards the closest one, the man blushed in anticipation, exhilarated that he was chosen.

He could not even be considered average looking and it would have been nice to call him a mutt.

He closed his eyes, lips puckering out as he spread his arms wide apart awaiting his arrival into his embrace.

Jia Bi Yu's eyes twitched at that disgusting sight, feeling goosebumps forming all over his skin.

He sidestepped the man's advances as he tightened his left fist before bringing it to meet his solar plexus.

The impact caused a ripple to form on the man's skin as he dropped silently to the ground, still unaware what had occurred just now.

The rest were shocked silly on the spot, not fully understanding what games the two were playing at.

"Hey, what's wrong with you? Did her beauty cause you to faint?"

They all continued to laugh loudly, not knowing their fate.

Jia Bi Yu did not even look at the fallen man as he stepped over his body towards the next one closest to him.

It was a tanned man who was also the only one who put up his guard after seeing his brother falling after coming in contact with the person.

He readies his stance, fists up in front of him, protecting his vitals, as he watches every big and small movement of Jia Bi Yu.

His other brothers just laughed at his wariness, telling him to just relax.

Even if one killed them, they wouldn't believe such a delicate beauty can cause them any harm.

The man did not pay heed to their words as his heart tightened in alert the closer Jia Bi Yu got.

Before he can be attacked, he chose to go for the hit first as his brothers all screamed out in disbelief.

They all started to rush up to stop him, wishing for a hero save the beauty moment.

They each thought the beauty would fall for their heroic charms and follow them home for the night, or maybe even a lifetime.

However, they were too late.

They barely moved a step before their brother's fist was already about to land on the beauty's fair face.

They all shut their eyes in pity, assuming the beauty's face would be covered in black and blue bruises after, ruined.

They slowly opened their eyes, not hearing the anticipated sound.

Looking around, they only saw Jia Bi Yu standing there alone, not a single hair on his body harmed.

Their eyes moved from left to right, trying to locate their much hated brother at this point, thinking they would beat some sense into him for wanting to harm the beauty.

Their eyes could only widen when they spotted him on the ground next to Jia Bi Yu's feet, unconscious like a corpse just like the first brother that fell before him.

They suspiciously look back at Jia Bi Yu, still unwilling to believe it was his doing.

Fear started to envelop them, their eyes showing the terror of seeing a monster in human skin.

Their bodies trembled, their legs turning into jelly, not moving no matter how much they tried to command them to.

Right when Jia Bi Yu started to move towards them again, they quickly turned around, coming face to face with the Wu Shang Tang they were ganging up on earlier.

No longer caring for their face, they tried to run past for their lives, to escape from this nightmare.

Realizing what they wanted to do, Wu Shang Tang spread his arms wide apart, attempting to block their path.

The dark cloud covering the moon slowly drifted away, as the silver light shown upon his face, revealing an innocent smile.

Any other day, they would have just laughed it off, threatening to punch a hole into that annoying face of his, but on this night, that smile resonated with their very fears.

Slowly turning back to look at the approaching figure from behind who looked like a devil that just walked out from hell, they swallowed a mouthful of saliva yet again.

Just that this time it was for a totally different reason.
