Somewhere in the field outside of the border settlement that had slowly turned into a small prosperous town, thanks to the management of Vandal and other officials, of course the girls, Ryan and Mavis had a hand in helping achieve that too, surprisingly Ryan seems to have a talent for management works- on top of her skills in combat once giving a gun in hand…

But enough of going off-topic, currently Leonard was overseeing his new experiment 's involved using magic/energy crystal.

"Alright! That's should good enough." he wiped the sweat that formed on his forehead as he finished drawing the last runic looking letter and finished a magic circle like creation centered around a huge amount of energy crystal.

"What are you planning on doing Leonard?" Ryan who was having a break today from the duty as the acting mayor of the town due to the return of Vandal, decided to spent some times with Leonard and watched his experiment out in the open, of course it wasn't just Ryan who was there with him, Sachi and Mavis was there as well- unfortunately Luminous did not join them today as her excuse was she had an important duty to carry out, so that only leaved the other girls to join Leonard.

They sat on top of a small hill, overlooking the experiment site while enjoying a small picnic in the process, viewing it all from a safe distant.

"I'm glad you asked Ryan, they're here...contained weeks of blood and sweats and brain wracking research and experiments... I had finally somewhat...perfected it, albeit still some issue now and then, but I believe I have created the most insane enchantment method ever." Leonard exclaimed proudly with his chest puffing out.

"Enchantment? You mean, that magic circle there with a pile of energy crystals in the middle is used for an enchantment? But what?" Ryan asked him, her eyes is filled with curiosity.

"From a glance, I could see some crazy words of power carved in, Devouring, Soul Trapping, Rending...you are...insane you know that Leonard?" Mavis answered Ryan just before Leonard could start on the juicy details

"Ah~ you ruined the fun...but no matter...just sit back and enjoy it... I'm sure it's going to be a fun experience for all of you." he smirked.

"Fun...yes, but why are you so far away from the site? Aren't you supposed to in the middle of it all to perform the enchantment?" Mavis ask him.

"...just give me a minute to prepare will you? I mean...we're playing with dangerous stuff here, stuff that had the potential to get someone kills…" Leonard muttered in a low voice.

"Since when did "We" were involved? I mean...this is just you performing it, and we girls here are just the spectator, cheering you on." Mavis reminded him.

"Is it that dangerous? Mavis?" Sachi questioned when she looks and noticed how paled Leonard is when the topic of him going in and preparing to make an "enchantment"

"Dangerous isn't even half of what I should describe it Sachi, it is borderline insanity." she smirked.

"Can you not make it sound like I'm heading for my death Mavis? I mean- what's the worst that could happen right?"

"But aren't you heading for your death? I mean look at that abomination! It looks like it's going to blow up at any moment." she pointed it out to him from afar.

"I have already stabilized it as much as possible already, anymore and it will just fizzled out on me and wasted all the resources and time I put onto it." he shrugged

"That's why I said you are insane."

"Whatever, I'll deal with the problem when it arises, for now...let just hope this work out like it said on paper, the last thing I want is a piece of my body missing in the process…oh yes- there that as well, extra protection!" Leonard pulled out a small black orb, the same looking one as given to Edward.

"Suit- ON!" he commanded and immediately metallic plating began to spread out from his palm and covered his entire body, leaving not even a crack and began walking toward the dangerous field experimentation further down hill.

"Woah!" Mavis and Ryan was surprised by the phenomenon that Leonard had shown them, a palm size metal ball morphed into a full heavy plating suit.

"What is that?!" Mavis eyes were shining like a star as she saw the suit Leonard had on.

"It's called a Nano Battle Armor, Leonard bought a couple of them back as a form of souvenir…" Sachi answered Mavis curiosity.

"You seem to know a lot about that piece of equipment, mind telling me more about it?" Mavis asked her. "Me too, I want to know more about it- oh Sachi was it? Up till now I still haven't known much about you...let get to know each other more." Ryan chimed in.

While the girl were giggling with one another, Leonard was feeling extremely nervous about all that was going on.

"Come on Leonard, you can do this...this is just one field test...you had been through worse situation before, this couldn't be as bad as the hypothesis make it out to be." Leonard look at the glowing formation that he had set out just a few hours prior to this moment.

Leonard pulled out the evil blade, Vengeance and stab it into the energy crystal pile glowing in the middle of the magic circle and make sure it stays in place.

"No explosion yet, that's good...next part, slowly infusing the words of power into this bad boy here- first off...the word "Devouring" connect with Soul Trapping…" Leonard put all his concentration in pulling in circuit by circuit and connecting them all up, this process took a whole half an hour before it all came near completion.

"And finally...the Rending enchantment…" he connected the last word of power to the blade.

"Time to see how this will turn out...please don't let this thing blow up on me…"

"Binding Rune... Activate!" he quickly finished the magic circle with the last rune word and the formation immediately shined brightly, like a miniature sun, blinding out the surrounding and expelling a massive amount of energy in the process.

"Bind Bind Bind!" he struggled to hold back the massive amount of magic from exploding out with his own power.

However, something unexpected happen, from afar a man was dashing over on top of a steed and on his back was a satchel filled to the brim with mails, while on his free hand was a missive with the seal of the Welser family.

"Important notice! For Lord Leonard hand over!" he shouted loudly when he arrived, he didn't stop at where the girls was but rushed straight for Leonard who was performing a dangerous experiment in the field.

"Oh what the fuck!" Leonard was distracted for a moment and loses control over the massive miniature sun in front of him.

"Shit shit shit! Run!" he roared for the incoming man, however it was too late.

From the town that was a bit down road, the resident swore that they could hear a loud "Boom" outside of the town, followed by a minor earthquake.
