6 years later (At Present)
Adrian settled down into his leather chair as he took sip from the Macallan Sherry Oak 30, his favorite brand of scotch so far as he saw the man before him begging for forgiveness as his people hit the blonde man with steel rods.
The screams were like music to his parched ears. After chasing this guy down to Germany 4 months after he took his money, he laid down every secret he ever had at the fifth hit.
What a fucking coward.
Saying he was willing to return the money he took, even more if they just let him go.
Some people never do learn. Adrian thought as he shook his head in disappointment as he completed his whisky and started to refill. It wasn't about taking his money, it wasn't even about making him chase the person to yet another country.
It was about Loyalty. About Betrayal.
If he let even one of his underlings go unpunished, what kind of message would it send to the rest of his men. That he was the kind of monster that let mistakes slip. He was a monster, but he was not one that excused mistakes.
Only arrogance excused mistakes.
How much time would it it then take for the rest of workers to turn their head when more riches were involved in the possible future.
And that one of the many things he couldn't let happen.
He needed to make sure every action he took was a statement.
It takes only a drop of poison to kill a tree. His father used to say, and what true words they were.
As he completed his drink, Adrian finally got up which immediately made his men stop in action and stand away from the whimpering bloody body on the ground.
"Thank you, Thank you...." The body gasped out as he crawled towards Adrian.
Adrian cocked his head to the side an amused grin on his lips as he studied the gentlemen before him. The fella actually thought he was going to be free.
Whatever in the sweet loving hell gave him that idea.
Tsk Tsk, he couldn't let that happen. He kicked the person in his face, before landing five more kicks in stomach. He was already coughing blood, but was still sane enough to feel pain.
That was what Adrian wanted. To make a person feel what he was being given. In 26 years of his life, he just knew exactly what was the limit at which point would a person start to feel numb and so ridden with pain that it was all he knew.
Next he laid down on top of the person and started raining punches on his face, letting his men watch what happened to traitors in his rule.
Not even one of them flinched. All of them looked ahead showing no hint of weakness.
The smile grew on Adrian's face, even more so when he heard the satisfying crack of bone filling the air. It was goona be a damn good night, somehow Adrian knew it.
....
Seven hours later when his men finally took the traitors body away, Adrian realized he had spent more time than necessary having fun. His clothes rumpled, bloody and mixed with dirt. He looked down at them with disgust as he went to take a bath.
He was already late for the state party for public welfare he was invited to and that was the one thing he couldn't, to his remorse, he couldn't miss.
And the party was as he had hoped.
The guest were bombarded with light that both highlighted their features and dim enough to hide the secrets behind closed doors.
The hushed tinkling sound of women faint whispers an unending phenomena in the air and classical music flowing in the background provided a perfect setting to enthrall unsuspecting people into the the lavish and phenomenal life this world had to offer to them.
Oh the irony, Adrian snickered behind his champagne glass keeping his face as impassive as only he could while he drank another sip of it to the Senator's honour.
Adrian couldn't care less what it was, but given he wanted to be the next governor of mexico, he found himself playing a part of the useless charade. Apparently the Senator seemed too much to drink and therefore too bloody much to say, much to his dismay.
What a horrible way to end such a wonderful day. Much to the disappointment of the part of him that reveled in Blood and torture, people rarely angered or disappointed him to ever let him take out his fun on them, and rightfully so.
But that didn't mean he didn't revel in peeling off the skin of everyone who did so in the future.
The Senator's laughter, however, was enough to bring him out of his thoughts and revert his attention back to the group of men who were currently discussion his profession before he decided to fight for governor position.
"Enough about me, tell me something about you boy?! How did being a Lawyer treated you. Not great i hope. My experience with them never was, i tell you!" He said with another bout of laughter.
If it was his home, Adrian could have gladly shown the senator exactly how much of a boy he was, but sadly it wasn't their home. So Adrian forced a perfectly normal smile on his as he replied
"It brought me here, didn't it?"
As the men raised their glasses to the truth of the statement, Adrian barely resisted the urge to roll his eyes. The conversation swiftly turned to another gentlemen after that.
The only reason he joined the law was so that he could neatly rope out from it when the time warranted so.
And till now that decision hadn't let him down, not once. But Adrian kept that bit of information to himself. No need to give people the ammunitions they so desperately searched for.
