They tell you what you want to hear

Or what they know will make you fear

Or they show you what is trending

Or dictate it so in the ending

You give your time to what doesn't matter

Your senses they know how to flatter

Drawn to sensation the latest chatter

Presented on a silver platter

Not knowing this is by design

Not only want to steal your time

But trigger in you every emotion

Somehow even stir the notion

That all they want for you's what's best

For your family, town, and all the rest

In the end they just set a trap

To lure then blur then boom and zap

The Truth won't fall into your lap

You have to search and seek it out

To sift and sort with lots of doubt

And when it hits you shout it out

Though the masses jest and poke

And make you out to be a joke

Or worse than that the cause of terror

At the greatest cost show them the error

The ones pretending to be saviours

Alert the world their odd behaviors

Though few see must keep moving on

Before all health and freedom gone

Their gonna squawk and call you wrong

They laugh and jeer and bang a gong

TRUE LOVE demands you just stay strong

Though emotes high and nights are long

Keep trying to show them 'till your end

That's the definition of a Friend
