Hey, Crow here! This chapter and the next will explain more things about the Twelve. 

The Twelve;

Moriah 'Shadow Emperor': Strongest being that ever lived, presumably stronger than even the Nameless Knight of the present. Despite his unequaled strength, his thirst for power led to his demise. He created 'Shadows' and the Shadow Attribute, making it one of the most mysterious attributes that ever existed. The Shadow Demons, which were a joint creation of both Moriah and Medtris, were able to manipulate Shadows but only to a small degree.
