After the class ended, the students of the SS class had a newfound respect for the ninth princess. They would protect her, but at the same time learn from her by watching.

When they got to know that she would have music class after this, Si Yin and Si Lan a pair of twins from the SS class said that they had the same.

On the way to the next class, she got to know that the two males were the children of Si Min. One of the men from the court. Lu Fang Xiu had seen him a couple of times.

Lu Fang Xiu and the twins arrived right on time and met lǎoshī Nai Yi at the entrance. She was petite and looked to be in her twenties.

«You must be her highness, princess Xiulan.» Lǎoshī Nai Yi had heard of Lu Fang Xiu from the principal. He had also said that they should be very respectful towards her.

Lu Fang Xiu nodded respectfully to the female teacher. Lǎoshī Nai Yi liked this princess already. She entered the classroom and greeted the rest of the students.

Si Yin and Si Lan entered after Lu Fang Xiu. The twins turned to her. «Xiao Xiu are you going to be okay by yourself?» Si Lan asked calmly. «We have a class competition.» Si Yin explained.

Lu Fang Xiu nodded. She understood what he meant and walked over to lǎoshī Nai Yi who was talking to some students.

She waited for the teacher while scanning the room. She saw all kinds of instruments and felt her fingers itch to touch them.

"Master, it seems that your body still has the former Lu Fang Xiu's passion for music." Li Yin saw the slight flicker of confusion when Lu Fang Xiu felt drawn to the different instruments.

"It seems like it. The only thing I didn't do much in my former life." Lu Fang Xiu only sang a little in her former life on missions.

She looked at the front and noticed an instrument she felt an instant pull to. She looked back to lăoshi Nai Yi. «I would like to play the erhu.» Lăoshi Nai Yi nodded with a glad smile. The erhu is black with gold snake patterns.

* An erhu looks like a long stick with a hexagon box at the bottom. The top of the stick is a little bent backward. I hope my explanation was of help.

Not many in the Academy played the erhu since it was so simple looking, so she was happy that someone wanted to play it. It was one of her favorite instruments after all.

Lu Fang Xiu remembered a song she played once when she was fulfilling an old man's dying wish. She played a song on the erhu while the man was dying. He died of age so there weren't much she could do.

She looked at lăoshi Nai Yi. «If it wouldn't be a bother. Could I please be allowed to perform first?» Lu Fang Xiu heard some whispering in the background but ignored it as it didn't have anything to do with her what others said about her.

Lăoshi Nai Yi liked this girl so of course, she allowed. She told everyone to sit down in their seats (I don't know what their seats are called since they don't use chairs).

Li Yin who had been sitting in a tree disappear into his master's space. Lu Fang Xiu stood up making her veil flutter slightly. She walked towards the erhu at the front.

When the veil fluttered not only did it surprise them, rendering them shocked and speechless. It also made them question the rumors about the ninth princess being ugly.

The guys, of course, couldn't help, but blush a bit. It wasn't only guys, but girls too. They had never seen such a beautiful person. However, there was one person who wasn't only shocked but also struggled not to tear up.

The one she still held changed from black to red. The snake patterns changed to golden and silver spider lilies. The bow is gold-like and not black.

The whole class saw it and was just as shocked as Lu Fang Xiu herself. She looked at lăoshi Nai Yi and tilted her head. «Lăoshi Nai Yi, is this supposed to happen?»

Lăoshi Nai Yi shook her head slowly before regaining her composure. «No, it is not normal. Don't mind it and just play.»

Lăoshi Nai Yi had to report to the principal, but it couldn't ruin her lesson, so the only thing she could do was to urge Lu Fang Xiu to perform.

Lu Fang Xiu nodded and sat down on the pillow and closed her eyes before taking a deep breath. She raised the bow before starting.

* The song she plays is from an anime called Saiunkoko Monogatari. The song is called Kokyuu Yasoukyoku.

When she began to play. It made one feel happy. It was lively, but also calming. Lu Fang Xiu couldn't help but smile slightly when she played.

The feeling of playing made her feel lighter. "This must be the feeling the original Lu Fang Xiu had when she played."

The whole class was smiling brightly. Some even laughed happily. «Princess Xiulan, that was very beautiful. And as a thank you for your performance. You can have the erhu.» Lăoshi Nai Yi couldn't wait to report this to the principal.

For the rest of the lesson, Lu Fang Xiu watched the rest of the class's performances. The class more or less voted on Lu Fang Xiu, but she couldn't care more or less about the competition.

The thing that she cared about was the erhu duplication and the fact that she was tired from her performance. She couldn't wait to take a nap.

Lu Fang Xiu walked to Lu Lan Xia. «How has class been meimei Xiu'er?» Lu Fang Xiu showed her the erhu and told her what had happened.

Lu Lan Xia smiled and nodded. «It's good that you had fun.» Lu Fang Xiu didn't reply and only yawned tiredly. This made Lu Lan Xia frown slightly.

«Ninth meimei, how much did you sleep last night?» This question was something Lu Fang Xiu didn't want to answer knowing what the result would be.
