New Level"er

Hhmmmmm..... whooooo...

The CPU cooler and the room cooler were in the background humming in rhythm and timing as if they both were soulmates.

It was hot and humid outside, so I was I my room studying on my computer. not really as I was like all time on my compute-- I mean life support device. I am diseased with a 'cant step more than 5 meters without a computer or something interesting' disease.so my computer is a life support device I mean like the ones in hospitals.

Double click..login...game start ...select charecter....continue game ....*ping*...loding complete...

I spawned at the town of bandits. It was a red player town and due to me being a good person I wasn't allowed in the green areas. although it is called a town it's actually the biggest map among cities towns etc. In this game, towns and the like could grow big by increasing the population and as there were a lot of red good guys and NPC available. So it grew to be very big but yet it kept the same name.

Now going along the mini-map, I reached the travelers portal, you know the thing that is used so that time is saved or the one used other travel long distances in the game world.

Anyway I used the travelers portal to head to the dark goblin's forest and some warrior guy sent me a party request, and I couldn't believe it. Its been a long while since someone had sent me a party request. I think the last few guys died cuz my hand stabbed them, mind it wasn't me it was my hand alright. But I noticed he was one of those evil green players who play just for fun. And as a self-righteous red player, I must do my job properly and get some tip. So I accepted his request.

The poor guy with no friends or knowledge about the game then followed me to my location. the dark goblins forest was a level 100-120 area and players with less skill could also quest here but the place I'm going to is a secret area discovered by me that place is meant for level 220-250 players. Above level 150 is a class of its own I being the best player in the game was only level 242 while the second and third place were 183 and 175 respectively. one could get to lvl 100 in a month 150 in three months but 200! not even in a year. If it wasn't for the bonus content and minigame no one would even play this game because of the slow growth.

I reached the secret area in the dark goblin's forest in quite a short while meanwhile, he was following my avatar, I led him to the goblin spawning grounds. There we started defeating goblins and picking their drops like items and gold, Once in a while whenever the warriors HP fell low I would help him so that he could drink his hp potion. Once he finished his stock of HP potions I told him to follow me deep into the secret area. Hey, don't get me wrong it was just a coincidence that his potion finished just as I was about really getting into it.

"Hehehe" Oops my bad.

Then I led him through a secret pass that I discovered not long ago.

When we reached the midpoint of the map, just as excepted goblin warriors <lvl 200> ambushed us along with some goblin daggermen <lvl 230> at their backs. Although the goblin warriors were strong they were pretty slow, so that chicken of a party member got a chance and left running but fortunately, I mean unfortunately the goblin dagger men were both fast and long ranged and they did what they had to and finished him off.

"Oh no another party member has fallen ."

"Hmm... He might have dropped something. Don't worry my fallen comrade I shall avenge you and keep what you left behind as a souvenir."

I quickly used [swirl bash] that caused the goblins to be stunned for a moment and instantly finished them with a [lightning chain] combo".

"Whew.."

I got up and reached for his corpse and looted his bag.

'You might be thinking that I am a liar and narcissist and heartless and merciless, but actually, I am very much a good and kind guy-- I mean heaven-defying lifeform.

Anyways the year in the current calendar is 2019 pretty much the same as it is in your world.'

"How do I know? I guessed."

"The world has improved gaming to the next level, and just like games where lvl 1 is easier than lvl 100 the new next level gaming is too overwhelmingly hard."

"I mean they combined platform games with arcade and console and PC and virtual reality in one. And it isn't all in one but buy it all."

"And now when I want to play or anyone wants to play they got to buy everything from console to PC to VR gear to arcade thingies. And you think you got it tough just because you got to build a PERSONAL GAMING COMPUTER. We here have to build a PERSONAL GAMING HIDEOUT. And don't you think that we can do with just one and that the company will suffer, as they will have a lot of dissatisfied customers and complaints."

"Nope, the government pays the company according to the ratings of the games and the one that gives the ratings is an AI. That very much doesn't even need the gear to play. And if you're thinking why in the world did the govt lose common sense. I don't know. That's just the way it is."

"Are you thinking how I'm it breaking out of the fourth wall? Duh I'm not, I'm just talking to my imaginary friends like you. Arent you just an imaginary friend."

"Eeeeh...Ahh..you...a boss battle‚ you got me distracted now I ain't talking with you anymore bye!"

'Uhh... the arcade... yes take that yes... huh!! 18 sec to change to PC, Oh!'

I turned my chair to the computer and hit some keys w....q...e...s...f...g...y ...s... r... m, combo magic spell [lighting blast] activated.

"Oh no !!!! MP low.. MP potion ...yes! whew !!!!"

"Oh no !!!!! change to VR "

I hurriedly wore my visor, my gloves, etc and the game started. Bang I immediately shot a "fireball" as soon as the game unpaused, then approached the boss and jumped on his back, faster than one can say 'I'm broke'. Then what happened next went like:

[sword break]... BOOM... [world of swords]!!!!.. [sword rain]!!!!.....The boss roared and went into a frenzy. when it was enraged I caught its neck than with a twist and pull its head came 'pop' and the spine along with intestine and blood came spurting out from the neck. That part was most probably PG.

"Whew... oh it dropped something."

I picked it up and kept it in my inventory, then to check what it was I had to turn to the PC. And presto it was.....

it was...

It was.....a 4-star rare equipment named Ragnarok's dagger. It was pretty much lame as compared to other 4-star or even some 3-star equipment had better stats and ability than it. But it had the ability to ignore defense in some special condition and remove an extremely rare [sleep] debuff on the user.

"I think, this might have been enough for this chapter, right? oh.. no., I'm not talking with you!"

*ping*

"Huh, a message must be from that loser I PK'ed earlier. Oops, I let out my real; thoughts."

"Message from God is this supposed to be some kind of prank from the Game Maker, whatever I gotta quickly switch off my devic-i mean seal my divine artifacts."

"Whew, I hope I become first or at least 3rd not 4 or less. Oh I had forgotten about my soda"

'slurrrrp... hah.....'

I gotta rest when I can, later on, I will have to make up for it with a 18X7 marathon gaming.'

I don't know when but with that thought I ended up in my bed so I just tucked myself under the soft comfy blanket and grabbed my hug pillow and fell into a deep slumber.
