This comic really deserves more attention. I’m around 40 chapters in.
- The world is really intriguing with a several unique settings so far
- The martial arts is drawn and sequenced in a manner that really allows you to follow the movement of everything.
- The fighting is creative you’ll pick up on some very thoughtful and immersive nuances
- The dialogue is well written. I’ve browsed the source material as well and some of it really beautiful and creative, the comic is the same. There are a few points that I feel like translations don’t do it justice, but it’s far from a large problem (and it’s certainly nowhere near as bad as other manhuas where dialogue becomes unintelligible lol)
- Characters, mmm *yes*
- I also like dynamics between characters: the tacit understandings, the feelings, the inner dialogue, etc. that brings life to the characters.
-Evidently, there are a few parts where the Chinese was probably drawn really cool, that the scans can’t replicate, but that’s likely me asking for too much.
-The story was a little strange going into it, but everything comes to make sense, and maybe my feeling of strangeness only came from it’s uniqueness rather than conforming to tropes I’m familiar with.
