So many heart wrenching stories in one. I was so curious about this book that I read looked up the raw version (although I didn't understand a word). This is a master piece. (T-T) I can get to rest with ease after reading it. It shows me that everything has it's own good side and that looks can be deceiving. My favourite was about the Golden Lion, the ending was so heartbreaking but still beautiful. Thanks to that I moved on more easier when I read something not to my taste. The drawing is good, suits the story. The character design is amazing. The deep feelings within them can get through to me so easily, I'm already thinking of what will the characters future bring. I wish them good luck. I can only say, that if you like to see stories with tragedies that end up with a happy endings, YOU HAVE FOUND IT!
Short review: I really love this comic. Amongst the myriads of novels and comics I've read on this website, I can genuinely say that this is definitely a diamond in the rough. The characters are amazing, the stories are intriguing while the art is easy on the eyes. Although it starts off quite slow, you're quickly pulled in. Long review Story: As of yet, the comic seems to be a series of self-contained stories set amidst the backdrop of a dessert shop run by the main character. Each story revolves around the theme of love, and has a unique and plausible take on the struggles a world inhabited by demons, humans, and gods might have. Strangely enough, I applaud this comic for its in-direct world-building (as in no slabs of exposition). From the actions of the characters, you can gain a pretty concrete view of the world and adds to the belief that these are actual characters with their own set of struggles - something I don't find often in other manhua. Additionally, there is a refreshing lack of cliches I've grown to associate with historical romance, and for the ones present they're done in a fun way which still keep the stories interesting. Characters: For the most part, I really enjoyed the characters. For the short time they appear, they really add to the story and have clear intentions and wishes which add to your investment. That being said, little is revealed about the main protagonist herself, however, that only adds to the suspense of her character! Totally recommend this to anyone who loves romance, fantasy and happy endings!
This comic was quite unlike anything I've read so far and I thoroughly enjoyed it! Each short story very succinctly dealt with aspects of courage, loss, love, friendship etc. The characters and the plots were developed quite well. I especially liked how the creator brought together all the characters in the end and completed our little Dryad's story😊 I do the think the flow needs a little work though. I found myself confused and lost sometimes whenever there was an abrupt change in the dialogue or the scene. Overall though, I would highly recommended this comic to anyone looking for a break from the cliche modern romance stories. This little eastern fantasy comic is a gem! Message to creator: I'm eagerly waiting for more content!!! I hope you continue writing and upload soon!😊
One of the most underrated comics on web novel might be the most underrated. I'm only quarter-way through but if I had enough money I would dump it all on this comic just to get fast passes to read it. It teaches a couple life lessons and you'll love the character development in this story as it is feels richer than gold. The drawing quality is amazing and never fails. I can't wait to read the rest of this story and if you haven't yet grab a blanket and a pillow with and binge read this whole book when you have the chance!
I’m surprised by how the stories are quite interesting. It’s like a mini Chinese collections of stories. Pretty much sums up some of the traditional eastern fantasies ideas. It’s mostly just a fun book though. Read it to indulge and enjoy~ it’s filled with the heartbreak of leaving one behind and the celebration of the joy and warmth of life.
