Chapter 1: How It All Started

I woke up one morning, a month later, in October feeling extremely giddy. Today was the day! It was the day of the BTS concert I had won and the day I would get to actually meet them in person. It felt a little funny being this excited to meet them since I was older than most of their "fan girls". I was even older than Jin by 3 1/2 years.

I made breakfast while listening to Fake Love on the BTS playlist I had prepared. I had been listening to the playlist for a week nonstop because of course, I had to make sure I knew every single word of every single song before the concert. I sat down at the counter taking a bite of my omelet, when my phone rang.

"Father", the caller ID read when I looked down at it. I sighed, but still didn't reach to answer my phone. I didn't want my awesome day to be ruined by talking to him, so I silenced my ringer. As you might surmise from my reaction, I didn't get along with my father particularly well.

I finished my breakfast and looked at the clock. " 11 am", it read. I still had several hours before a car was coming to pick me up at 3 pm to head to the concert venue. I looked around the house, trying to find something to do to kill time. My eyes landed on the book sitting on my coffee table in front of the television.

I pick up the book, Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell (ironic, right?) and sat down on my couch, sinking into the book's fantasy world.

"I don't trust anybody. Not anybody. And the more that I care about someone, the more sure I am they're going to get tired of me and take off."

I uttered a hum in contemplation as I came back to reality and noticed it had been a few hours since I started reading.

Now, I had about an hour before being picked up so I went to make myself pretty for the concert, or at least be dressed nice. I had picked out a glittery tank top, nice dark jeans, and black flats. I stood in front of the mirror putting on a small amount of eye shadow and eyeliner as well as some peachy lip gloss. I was a big fan of keeping things natural. I nodded in the mirror, smoothing down my medium length purple hair. "Good enough." I murmured.

I stepped out of the bathroom right as my doorbell rang. I took a steadying breath and opened the door. "Hello, Ms. Ellis. I am here to escort you to Staples Center" A slick looking dude in a black blazer said. "Okay, just a moment" I responded, grabbing my cell phone and small clutch from a side table near the door.

The driver patiently held the door of the town car open for me as I got in. I lived somewhat close to the concert venue so, we arrived in 20 minutes. As I got out of the car, I could hear a ton of screaming fans. "We purple you, BTS!" A group of them shouted. I was brought to another staff member at a side door. "Hi, Ms. Ellis. I'll take you to your seat, in the the front row." The woman said.

"F-front row?!" I stuttered, flabbergasted. "You didn't know?" She grinned, handing me a light up A.R.M.Y bomb. My face lit up as she pulled me side stage and into my seat at the very front. "Go ahead and talk with the other girls. The whole front row are contest winners as well. The concert will start in about 10 minutes" She said, leaving you. "OH. MY. GOD, I can't believe we are here!" A girl to my right squealed. I listened to the other girls sitting near me sounding similar and I fought the urge to roll my eyes.

Soon, the stage had gone dark and I heard the first few bars of DNA start. "Cheonnune neol araboge dwaesseo..." Then, the entire stage lit back up showing all seven boys. The entire stadium screamed and stood up, me included this time. The whole concert was so amazing, I couldn't stop smiling and singing. I savored every moment and of course it was over way too soon.

Afterward, four of us in the front row were told to wait at our seats so the boys could get ready for our meet and greet. The same woman who took me to my seat earlier came and led us to a big room back stage. When we got to the room, the other three girls freaked out the minute they saw the boys. Two were crying and the other was going "Ohmygod, Ohmygod." This time, I did roll my eyes.

The other girls had accosted all but RM, who had slowly backed away. He noticed me just standing there and said, " What's your name?" and held a hand out to shake. "Hi, I'm Fay." I answered calmly, extending my hand to meet his. "You aren't freaking out like them, why?" He said, jabbing a thumb toward the crazy scene behind him. "Because you are normal people too and don't need the added stress of crazed fan girls." I answered, bluntly. "Huh." He said, taken aback by my response.

"Let's take her with us!" Namjoon said, louder for the other members to hear with a dimpled grin. Jin had walked up earlier to hear the last bit of your conversation. "Wait...what?" I gasped. "Yeah, we should." Jin said, cocking his head and standing closer to Namjoon.

And that, my friends, is how I ended up going on tour with BTS.
