He should've gone after her....

He should've...

Benjamin and Dolion waited...And waited, but Prim never came back.

Soon, Dolion couldn't take it any longer. He shot to his feet and headed for the door with Benjamin close at his heals.

"She won't be long" Dolion said mocking Benjamin's voice. "She's upset, just let her go"

"Ok, so I made a mistake-"

"A mistake, Benjamin!? Because of you Prim could be hurt, or worse!"

Benjamin knew he was right. He doesn't know what came over him. It was stupid of him to let her go out alone.

"Wait" Dolion said as he stopped in his tracks causing Benjamin to almost run into him. "Look"

Benjamin followed his eyes and notice the small ring of silver dust on the pavement.

"You don't think-"

"I don't know. But this thing could've taken her anywhere in the universe. There's no way of tracking her now"

All of the sudden Nyx came into view.

"Nyx!" Dolion called out to the shadowy creature. Nyx landed Dolion was the first to climb on.

"Come on!" He snapped as he took Benjamin's arm and pulled him up.

Then they were off.

The air grew more frigid as they ascended higher and higher.

"S-so how are we supposed to find her now?" Benjamin asked.

"I don't know"

"Your helpful" Benjamin said rolling his eyes.

"Keep in mind that prim would be safe right now if you wouldn't have let her wander off without us!"

"Yeah well...She was upset-"

"So what!?"

Dolion flew over the whole town but caught no sight of Prim, and suddenly his fear was becoming reality.

"She went down the hole" He said, his voice was distant. Even to him.

"No no no no"

"Shut up" Dolion hissed. "focus. How are we going to find Prim?"

"I don't know! I'm from earth, remember! On earth we don't have magic holes that take you to different universes!"

Dolion rolled his eyes and signaled for Nyx to land.

He didn't know what to do. They have never been as hopeless as they were now. They needed Prim, and Prim needed them.

"We should head back to Alastar's" Benjamin suggested.

"And stop looking for Prim? No"

"Alastar is from here, maybe he knows something that could help us"

"Like what?"

Benjamin shrugged. "Let's just go back and try to come up with a plan"

Dolion reluctantly agreed. Maybe Benjamin was on to something. But then again; maybe not. And maybe the longer they stop looking for Prim the more danger she could be in.

For some reason the walk back to Alastar's seemed longer and the night seemed to have grown colder.

When they arrived the house was still quiet. Alastar must have still been asleep.

"Mr. Grey" Benjamin called through the door. "We need to speak with you. Something's happened-"

The door opened suddenly and Alastar was standing in his pajamas.

"What? What is it?" He asked frantically.

"It's Prim sir" Said Dolion. "She's missing. And we think she fell down an Aeonian"

"Aeonian?" Benjamin asked.

"It's what the 'magic hole' is really called"

"People don't just leave active Aeonian's laying around" Said Alastar.

"What are you saying?"

"I'm saying that it is likely that someone planted it there. Why was she out?"

Benjamin and Dolion looked guiltily at each other.

"She was upset at us. She said she needed air. I told her it was too dangerous but Benjamin said she'd be fine so he let her go"

Alastar gave them both disapproving glowers.

"I didn't mean for any of this to happen" Benjamin sighed.

"I know neither of you would never intentionally let any harm come to that girl. You both care far to deeply for her"

Both Dolion and Benjamin stared with unblinking eyes.

"No" Dolion said braking the heavy silence. "Never"

"Yeah" Benjamin said a bit taken aback. "We're all just friends"

"Yes" The man smiled. "That is what I meant"

"Right" Dolion said, "Of course"

Alastar stepped out of his room and closed the door behind him. "Show me this Aeonian you speak of"
