7 Chapter Seven

I was busy trying to silence my phone to even notice that everyone had stopped eating and gaping at me, Enhle was the first to break the silence and asked me who was calling. Lying was not my best trait so at first, I just shrugged my shoulders pretending not to hear her while trying to come up with an idea. My mom didn't have a phone so I couldn't say she was calling, and I didn't have my aunts' number, but they didn't know that right.

"Zizwe are you alright? who's calling you, you look like you've seen a ghost babe". Nick said looking at me with concerned eyes, we were sitting at the hood of his car together while Natasha and Enhle sat opposite us in Natasha's car.

"I'm fine guys, you don't have to give me that look it's just that Aunt Mary is calling me and I'm not used to her calling me that's all, I think she wants us to come back so can we go back home now?". I said to them not giving any of the two any direct looks. They knew me too well so I was afraid they would catch up on my lie.

"Okay babe lets head back home then, Natasha has a late shift anyway she needs to go and prepare". Nick said while guiding me back to his car with his hand on my back. Enhle with a sulky look followed Natasha to her car since Nick said she really annoyed him, and she would go with Natasha. After dropping Enhle at my house Natasha left promising to give me a call while I remained behind in Nick 's car.

"Zizwe... I wanted to apologize again for how my mom behaved today". Nick said to me holding my hand and entwining our fingers.

"I know she can be a headache sometimes and I just wanted to let you know that I'm thinking of moving out of my house because of her behaviour toward you okay".

"I'm fine Nick you don't have to worry yourself about me all the time, yes I agree your mom hurts my feelings all the time but that's not a reason for you to want to abandon your family. That will just make your mom hate even more".

"Well, I want you to know that I care about you a lot and love you so much to lose you so I have made up my mind and I'm getting a place to stay so you and I can see each other freely love". He bent his head down to my level and connected his lips with mine in a hungry kiss, we kissed for a long time until I felt like I couldn't breathe anymore.

"I love you babe and that guy really made me realise that you mean everything to me, when I found in his arms unconscious and all muddy, I thought I'd lost you". Our lips connected again, I held on to him and enjoyed the feeling of his lips against mine, we kissed until I felt like I was floating in the sky. Nick was really doing things to my body that made me want to just lose my virginity all at once, but I wasn't going to do that inside a car. When I went inside the house, I found my mother sleeping again, Prince was laying on the floor and I found it hilarious since yesterday he was like the man of the house. My aunt and Enhle were in my room whispering and laughing. I suppose today I was sleeping with my mom and I was delighted for the first time. Mom asked me to make her some warm milk so she could drink, and I gladly agreed and went to the kitchen.

My room was now dark so it meant the witches were sleeping but Ben five was in the kitchen with no clothes on but his undergarments, I wanted to turn back before he could see me, but he quickly turned around and grabbed my hand in a tight grip dragging me to his chest with so much force I got dizzy, before I could scream, he put his huge hand on my mouth preventing me from making any sound. I tried wriggling out of his grasp, but it was no use since he tightened his hand around me even more, I couldn't breathe. I was terrified; the guy was harassing me at my home with people around, but no one could hear anything. This was not good for me. He started trailing dirty kisses on my neck with his hands still covering my mouth, his other free hand went to grab my breast and started pinching them so hard it hurt.

He was breathing hard in my ear, he sounded like a beast that wanted to come out of its cage. I felt his shaft growing and poking at my back and I went to panic mode and started thrashing again, but this guy was big and strong I felt trapped and prayed that someone would come to kitchen for water or something but that didn't happen. Prince's hands were all over my body, he was exploring me by force and couldn't do anything to save myself but cry. I felt his hands moving down until they were cupping my core luckily, I was still dressed in jeans, he had a hard time trying to get his hand in my knickers, I have never fought before or found myself in a situation like this but I knew I had to fight this dirty pervert. I tried to relax in my terrifying situation pretended to enjoy what he was doing and started rubbing my back against him, he tensed at first as if he wasn't buying my act but after some time I heard him relax his hold on me and next thing I threw my head back hitting him on the face, he let go of me with a curse and that's when I kicked him on the groin so hard he started to scream and swear at me so loud that everyone got up and came to see the commotion in the kitchen,

"What the hell is going on here, Prince I thought you were sleeping what are you doing in the kitchen ".my aunt said starring at her boyfriend who was now bending down to his knee level holding his groin.

"Came here to get myself some warm milk until this stupid bitch attacked me". He said looking at me with rage in his eyes.

"Oh, would you shut up and keep your voice down Prince, this brat's mother is asleep in the other room she will hear you". My Aunt said hissing at her boyfriend in a low voice.

"And you Zizwe what the hell are you doing in the kitchen this time, are you trying to steal my boyfriend now". Tears were streaming in my eyes now; I watched my aunt in horror not believing what she just said to me.

"Do me a favour and wipe off those crocodile tears before your mother sees you, we both know all of this was your fault tramp. Enhle was looking at me with a pitiful look at the bedroom door it's as if she understood my predicament and felt bad for me while my aunt was choosing to act is if she didn't know what happened.

"Aunt Mary he...he tried to...". My sentence was cut short by my aunt pulling my hand very harsh like her boyfriend just did.

"Shut up okay just shush, now you listen to me very well you brat". she said in a low and menacing voice. "Nothing happened here, actually you were throwing yourself at him and not the other way around, now should I hear one word about this again you will regret the day you were born, understood?". I nodded and went to the microwave.

"Now prince go back to sleep love and please do behave yourself okay, young girls are turning into whores these days. I don't want you to be a victim of Zizwe's tactics after all someone told me that she's good at stealing people's men".

That left me in awe and fearing for my well-being, I couldn't tell my mom about this because the doctor said not to stress her, and she would also think I'm just making this up to get my aunt to leave the house. As soon as the milk was warm, I went back to my mother's room in a dash but found her sleeping soundly so I just drank the milk instead to calm my nerves and took out my phone. I had forgotten about the call I got earlier on, there were text messages from the same number, so I decided to check them.

I couldn't believe what I saw with my eyes and my heart did a little flip, I had six missed calls on my phone and three new text messages from the same person. My rescuer had stored his numbers on my phone with a name, I wondered when he got a hold of my phone. As I was browsing the messages a new text message popped in on the screen with the name ''Gage the saviour''. That really sparked my mood and I found myself amused at my phone; this guy was nuts. I skipped to the last message and read it, what I saw in there really got my attention.

Please answer your phone or at least my text woman, I really need to know if you're alright. or else I'm coming there right now, and I swear and I never back up from my promises Zizwe.

I read the text all over again and started giggling, my heart was pounding hard in my chest since I didn't know what to do. What the hell did this guy want from me, anyway, didn't he have any rich girls to chase after or them chasing him. However, I was relived, I thought I would never see or hear his voice again; I really don't know what got into me, but I felt drawn to him. Maybe it’s because he's white and I'm black or he was just too handsome to ignore or forget about. Oh my god what am I even thinking right now, I needed to sleep and clear my head so with shaking hands I quickly typed.

I'm well thank you for asking my knight.

I sent the message and put my phone on silent again. I knew I would never sleep with what happened today, I was sexually harassed in my own home with my mother sleeping in the next room, I was just scared that Prince would try and finish what he started during the night plus this door didn't have a lock. I just prayed to God that my mom would change her mind and chase these people away or else I was in deep trouble. Might as well lose my virginity to Nick or else a hooligan is going to take it from me by force.

I spent the next day cooped up in my mother's room, I tried avoiding my Aunt and her boyfriend as best as I could. Enhle came to me during the day and asked me to take her to the shopping mall so she could get new clothes since the weather here was different, but I declined and pretended to be asleep. Well ma was not happy about that and kept scolding me the whole day about it telling me that I had to get used to the extra company but how was I supposed to get used to my aunt and her pervert boyfriend, I didn't mind Enhle since she didn't trouble me that much except for the crush she had on my boyfriend.

Now coming back to the green blue-eyed stranger, I found another message from him when I woke up this morning. He was asking me about my wellness and demanded that I pick up his calls, but I chose to ignore him, I was grateful that he had saved me but I was confused as to why he now wanted to be in contact with me so I put my phone on silence the whole day avoiding his calls hoping he would finally give up. Nick would throw a fit if he knew that this guy had my numbers and I felt guilty about it, I've been cooped up in my house my entire life taking care of mom so the whole experience of being chased by a super handsome man who is also a different race was kind of messing up with my head though I kept reminding myself that it wasn't my fault that this guy was stalking me.

"Zizwe". I heard my aunt calling me from the kitchen.

"Zizwe, Nick is here and wants to see you dear should I tell him to come in?". My Aunt was on her best behaviour towards me when my mom was around, she pretended as if yesterday's events did not happen at all. I couldn't get any sleep after what happened knowing that prince was so close to our bedroom, I even dragged a chair and put it next to our door to make sure that I was safe. I had to put Nick on speed dial just in case this prick started doing anything funny. My thoughts were jumbled back to me by ma's voice speaking to me.

"Zizwe your aunt is trying my baby, please show her some respect for my sake baby please I'm begging you, you know she's the only person who wants anything to do with us in our family my beautiful girl". My mother said to me while holding my hand.

"You know I won't be here for you all the time, so you have to learn to live with other people apart from Nick and Natasha baby". Well, this conversation was taking a different route and I really did not want to go there since ma was in good shape now, she was getting her strength back.

"I promise I'll try ma but she not really as innocent as you think she is". I left my mother's bedroom and went to see Nick who was waiting for me outside the house.

"Hey babe, how are you?'' Nick said taking my hand in his and leading me away from the house.

"I'm fine Nick just tired didn't get much sleep last night". I replied, but the last part spilled mistakenly out of my mouth I didn't really want Nick to know what happened to me because I knew he would murder Prince.

"Why what's wrong love, was it the sleeping arrangements? you know you can always come and share my bed anytime you want babe". He smirked and pulled me close to him so that my head was resting on his chest. We were now standing outside my gate but it was dark so no one could see us since we had no streetlights. I breathed in his scent which always soothed my nerves and made me forget my problems, I needed his touch especially after what Prince did. I needed Nick to touch me and make me forget that pervert and his dirty hands all over my body.

"You know I might actually take you up on that offer, I really don't feel comfortable at home anymore with so many people around, but I just can't leave mom alone with those vultures". Nick bent down and gave me a small perk on the lips, while I tightened my hand around his waist felling safe with him.

"So… my mother is having a small surprise for my dad tomorrow and I would like you to be there, I know you already made up your mind about not coming to my house anymore but can you please come babe, my mother also mentioned some of my father's business associates coming but I don't really know them since they're are all recently acquired so I would really appreciate you coming baby, you know you are the only person that manages to calm my nerves. I swear I'll put my mother in her place if she starts bothering you, my dad would also be disappointed if you didn't come love''.

Going to Nick 's house was like entering the devil’s den at your own risk and I also didn't want to intrude on their family gathering since I was not invited but I knew that Nick would be hurt if I didn't come. The part that worried me though was the whole new bunch of people coming, I'm just not good around a crowd of people, I'm afraid I'll do worse damage around wealthy businessmen.

"Can I think about it throughout the night babe, I just don't feel like seeing your mother after what happened". I was now looking up at Nick and he had hope in his eyes. "I'll try not to disappoint you". I lifted myself up with my toes to peck him on the lips and he gave me his charming smile in return. After scolding me for not answering his calls and vowing to buy me a new phone he left, I lied about my phone fainting to Nick because my phone was on silent the whole day due to avoiding Gage, but now Nick was adamant on getting me a new device and not taking a no from me, hew! Now how will I prevent that from happening.

When I got inside the house everyone was sleeping including Prince for a change, I quickly changed into my vest and joined my mother in bed hoping to get a good night sleep for a change but that never happened. My phone kept vibrating the whole night until I had no choice but to answer the damn thing or should I say the damn man. I learnt that Gage was a very persistent person, he didn't easily give up. We talked until it was two in the morning and I had to trick him so he could finally hang up the phone since he told me he didn't mind calling me the whole night if that's what it took to get me to talk to him. Frankly, I enjoy talking to him, but I had to whisper the whole time because my mom was sleeping next to me and I didn't want her to hear me speaking with another man in the middle of the night.

I don't know what exactly I liked about talking to Gage but his voice was just so fascinating and bold and everything he said excited me, I found myself telling him about my family, mom's illness and our newfound visitor's leaving out the part were Prince molested me. He turned out to be a good listener and told me ask for help whenever I needed anything, but I was still wondering why he was suddenly interested in me, I knew I was just a plain girl and I really had issues with how I looked so him being interested in me for my looks was a big fat no unless he was up to something else completely.
