The Lizard Men

I had finished answering any questions lord Goibniu had in regards to my armor. He was an incredibly straightforward type of guy. So I answered any questioned he had honestly, I was never the type to care if others knew of other realities or not.

His questions focused mainly on the materials of other worlds and the conception of luminite and stardust fragments. It took awhile to explain, but he got the gist of it.

In the end, I was told that it would take a week for my armor to be finished. Honestly kind of looking forward to it.

"Hello there, would you like to come in to try a foot massage? First time customers get a 50% discount!"

I blinked and turned to the sight of a good looking guy talking to random passerbys outside the massage parlor.

Was there always a massage parlor here?

I don't recall, but the weird thing is... this guy is a fallen.

Like I don't remember the names of every fallen in Kokabiel's legion. But I've fought with them long enough to recognize their faces.

"Hey, what's going on here?" I decided to walk up to him and ask.

He turned to me surprised, but then quickly changed back to a professional smile.

"Ah Lord Zieg. Lord Kokabiel has just been getting into real estate and the business market lately, so naturally we are helping out with it. Of course if this causes issues for you, we can stop operations at any time."

"I see... well I guess it's not really my business on how you guys decide to spend your vacation."

I mean, my only rule was to not start killing people. So it's not like I can just tell people how to spend their time.

"Wonderful! Would you like to try a massage? All of our brethren and sisters have experiences giving massages to soothe the aches and pain of war. So you could say that we are experts at it!"

"No that's alright. Carry on with whatever you guys are doing I guess."

I shrugged, making my way by.

Throughout the next 30 minutes, I've come to recognize a lot of the fallen from the legion. They were either manning a shop, building or advertising something. I'm beginning to wonder what the point of any of this was.

'It's best not to think too much about it.' I thought to myself before heading towards a two story building that sort of looked like an inn.

'Isn't this the Hostess of Fertility?' I noticed the familiar building from the anime. It was pretty much the pub for adventurers during the evening times.

Well it's not like I have anything else to do at the moment.

"What can I get for ya?"

"I'll take whatever the special is tonight."

The white haired magus said with a smile, casually looking around the place. Surprisingly it wasn't as busy as he thought it'd be. Not that it was empty, but he expected it to be filled to the brim at this time. The owner seemed to have noticed his expression.

"Lately there haven't been much customers since those new places began to pop up."

"New places?"

Zieg turned back to the owner in intrigue. Mia Grand was a bit large, which was surprising since he was sure that she was a dwarf. She had brown eyes along with long brown hair and a different colored version of the regular uniform.

"Yeah, especially that place across the street. A taste of Emiya's. As much as I hate to admit it, that guy can really cook. Luckily he doesn't serve alcohol, or else he would have taken all my customers."

"Well, at least you still have loyal regulars that still come regardless."

"Aye, but lately more and more shops have been opening up out of nowhere. There's even a new liquor store that opened up down the street." Mia grumbled a bit in annoyance.

Zieg quietly listened to her troubles and felt a little awkward considering he had a feeling he knew who was responsible for them.

"Here's your meal, sir." A waitress with grayish hair brought over his food.

Zieg received his food, but didn't pay much attention to it. Instead he stared at the waitress oddly. His starry eyes seemed to emit a faint light as he looked closely at her.

"Um, is there something wrong sir? Oh you must be wondering who I am, I haven't introduced myself." She blinked at his strange gaze before coming to the conclusion that he must have been trying to thank her, but didn't know her name. "My name is Syr Flova." Syr introduced herself with a bow.

"...Why is a god acting as a waitress?"

Zieg bluntly asked the question. At first it was difficult to notice because her divinity was hidden well. But when she got close enough, his eyes revealed her nature to him.

"Well I have no idea what you're talking about, dear customer. I'm just a normal human girl, working as a waitress because I need to make a living."

"...Did you just try to charm me?"

Zieg blinked at that. The charm from a god was difficult to resist, but for Zieg as a guy who LOVED war. It didn't have much effect on him.

"I'm sorry dear customer, you must have me mistaken. Right?" Syr practically shoved her face in front of Zieg, her wide smile seemed menacing for some odd reason.

"...I suppose I was, apologies."

Zieg decided to drop it and drink from his mug. He just assumed that the god had an odd hobby of being a waitress.

"It's no problem and since I introduced myself. Perhaps you could grace me with your name as well, dear customer."

"...Shouldn't you be more concerned with tips or something as a waitress?"

"Building a close connection to customers is also part of being a waitress! It's exciting, to be able to meet and learn about new people, don't you think?"

"Perhaps, but I'm no one important. So you don't need to know my name." Zieg responded. No he wasn't trying to be edgy or anything. He just felt cautious towards the god disguised as a waitress. Not because he felt bad intentions or anything, it's just... he felt creeped out. He wasn't sure why, but the girl was giving him a creepy feeling.

"Don't be like that, you look like an incredible person to me."

Syr Flova smiled, looking deeply at him. Zieg felt the distinct feeling that she was able to see through him. Like his soul was literally being stared at, and that honestly creeped him out. Perhaps this was how other humans felt when he tried to read their fate.

For comparison, this felt like the time when Cthugha was staring at him from space. A creepy feeling, with an undertone of horrifying implications.

This wasn't the threat to his life kind of feeling. If it was, then he'd have a boner, like the times when the Flugels threatened to chop off his head in battle.

But this was different, this didn't have any murderous vibes. Instead it was something else he didn't understand. Some sort of obsession that he just couldn't comprehend, which scared him a little.

However just before he was going to make another excuse to not give his name, he was saved by the sound of a loud mouthed guy stepping through the door.

"Damnit! What the hell was that!?"

Everyone's attention was drawn towards the entrance where a gray haired wolf man was grumbling and swearing in annoyance.

Behind him, the rest of the Loki Familia followed inside. Each in different complex expressions.

Noticeably, a few of them were bandaged up. As if they had just lost a fight.

The only thing slightly lightening up the mood was the goddess Loki herself fawning over her familia.

A few murmers began to sound out in the pub.

Zieg sighed in relief. Luckily Syr Flova was dragged away to attend to other customers. So he didn't have to suffer that odd stare that she gave him.

Continuing to just relax and eat his meal. He couldn't help but listen into the Loki familia's ramblings.

Mainly the part about 3 lizardmen showing up in the dungeon or something.

"Um, excuse me." Zieg actually stood up and approached the Loki familia's table in curiosity.

"Huh? Who the hell are you?" The drunk gray haired Bete raised his head and asked annoyed.

"Oh hey! It's you again!" Tiona remembered seeing him at Goibniu's place.

"Have we met before?"

Zieg honestly didn't remember seeing her. He vaguely remembered her from the anime, but didn't actually see her when they were visiting the god Goibniu.

"We saw you at lord Goibniu's place. Speaking of which, he's gonna be mad that I broke Urga again!"

To her side, Ais nodded along. Greeting Zieg with her eyes for a moment.

"Oh, sorry I wasn't really paying attention at the time. So what's this about breaking your weapon?"

"Ah right! There's some really strong Lizardmen in the early floors of the dungeon for some reason!" Tiona explained again.

"Sent to deal with them. Ended in defeat."

"Bete here got knocked out first."

"I'm just glad everyone made it out alive."

"Hoh, sounds like an interesting story."

Zieg sat down, eager to learn what happened.

A COUPLE HOURS AGO

The sounds of footsteps echoed through the expanse of the dungeon floor.

"Do we really need this many people for just 3 lizardmen?"

"Of course not, we're heading deeper. The 3 lizards are just on the way since we can't just let them get closer to the surface."

Within the early levels of the dungeon, the grounds were covered by a large number of adventurers consisting of the Loki familia along with some warrior smiths from Hephaestus's familia.

Due to the increasing number of injured adventurers reporting the presence of powerful lizardmen on the early floors, the Loki familia decided to handle the situation before continuing their expedition.

"Does anyone else see that?" A random adventurer said out loud.

In the distance, everyone saw something odd on the wall of the dungeon. It was so out of place, that it was hard not to notice.

"Is this a joke?"

On the walls, looked like carved statues of the 3 muscular lizardmen.

"Wow, they look so life-like..." Some of the adventurers marveled at the realistic design.

All of a sudden, the sound of manly egyptian hype music came to life. "AY AY AY AYYYY!"

"Wait get back!" Riveria shouted too late

*CRACK sfx* Some adventurers got sent flying backwards, to everyone's surprise. One of the carvings erupted, revealing a shirtless blue scaled lizardman.

Slane's crystalline scales shined in the darkness, blinding everyone with it's radiance. With a twirl of his muscular frame he knocked over 50 adventurers in the air with one motion.

The attack was too quick for everyone to react as Slane magnificently repelled all nearby adventurers.

"GET READY!" Gareth roared as the adventurers got their shit together and lined up in formation.

Slane spun his way beautifully to the other two carvings in a kneeling position, raising his two muscular arms up, he exclaimed. The powerful music full of testosterone was still playing from somewhere.

"The time has come! AWAKEN, FELLOW DRAGONS!"

*CRACK sfx* From the two carvings, Draig and Albion broke out of the wall. A menacing aura washed over the army of adventurers as the three muscular lizardmen stood in their path.

The red and white scales of the two heavenly dragons pulsed out raw power.

"W-What is this pressure!?"

Whether it was from their natural draconic aura or the feeling of manly supremacy, no one was sure. If Zieg were here, he would question why they were all shirtless.

The army of adventurers consisting of the best of the best, felt like they had met their match.

It later became a miracle that there were no deaths, yet there was not a single person spared of injuries.
