New beginnings

Walking into the building Taylor looked for the elevator, spotting it he quickly walked over and entered, pushing the button for the 23rd level.

Once we get to my floor, I walk out of the elevator looking for a door with my company label, only finding a door with my name on it.

"hmm, i guess the whole floor is the office." Taylor says to himself.

He enters his office, setting his laptop bag under his desk before sitting down.

Taking a closer look at his desk he sees a note.

Taylor,

You are to be the first at the office every morning. The secretary will be at her desk at 06:45, the rest of your employees will be in the office and at their desks by 07:00.

-Taylor

"Wow, I wrote myself a lot of notes."

Taylor walks into the reception area seeing that the reception desk has a lot of notes on it too. Must be a thing everyone does. He thought to himself.

Just as he was about to enter his office again a woman ran in, slightly out of breath.

"And you are?" He asked skeptically.

"Your receptionist Quinn, Quinn park." She said walking to her desk.

"And how do you know who I am?"

"My note at home said Taylor Gold, my boss, would be in the office 15 minutes before me and to be on time…"

"Oh, ok. Do you have your name tag?"

"Yes sir."

"Don't call me sir."

"Ok then Mr.Gold-"

"Just call me Taylor. Or Tae. I don't like the formalities."

"Ok, Tae. It's a pleasure to work with you. Call me Quinn." She said, smiling.

"Ok Quinn. Have a nice day."

"You too Tae."

That was awkward. She's pretty. Her eyes are so deep, it's like I couldn't stop looking into them. Her skin, oh my god, so beautiful, it glowed. Well not really but it looked like it. Her hair was perfectly braided into cornrows, with bright ombré blue extensions. She wore a light pink sheer shirt with green flowers, a matching scarf tied around her neck, pants the same color green as the flowers, and nude colored heels.

He couldn't get Quinn out of his mind. He walked out of his office 5 minutes before all employees were to arrive.

"Hi, do you have any plans tonight." He asked, leaning against the counter.

Quinn looked up, slightly confused.

"No, why?"

"I was wondering if you wanted to get dinner to get to know each other better." Taylor stated shamelessly.

"Hmm, I don't think that's very professional Taylor." Quinn replied looking down.

"That's a nice excuse but I don't think we are very professional here."

"You're right."

"So is that a yes?"

"Only if it's a date." She replied winking before walking over to the printer room.

"Yes." Taylor quietly cheered after entering his office.

He opened his phone, looking for Quinn's contact in his phone. Finding it he looked at the recent texts.

Quinn: Tae, you have a meeting with your team in an hour, be ready.

Taylor: Thank you Quinn. I'll text you when I'm done, you can go home then :)

Quinn: ok :D

Taylor: Have a nice weekend Quinn, I am very thankful for your hard work.

Quinn: thank you sir, you have a nice weekend with your girlfriend :)

Taylor: I will thank you.

So, we were friends before hand too. He thought to himself.

He decided to text her the location and time a few minutes later.

Taylor: Hey, is Bao Dim Sum House good? After work?

Quinn: It's a date ☺️

Taylor: ok, I'll drive. 😊

Quinn: ok, you'll have to drive me home though. 😅

Taylor: sounds like a plan 🤪

Quinn: See you then.

Taylor: probably see you before then.
