Study hard, Philip Style

Another 6K long chapter, I've posted quite a few like these recently.

More of an interchapter between Arcs than anything else.

Next chapter, we'll likely have some POVs!

I've gotten many interesting ideas for who should appear, if you want to have someone featured here, this is your chance to say it to me as I'll be writing the next chapter soon!

Anyway, bye.

"Urg…"

I feel like a heavy log...

[Readjusting Status...]

'Philip slowly opened his eyes on the cold hard floor of his broken training room.'

"..Alive?!"

'Just as he opened his eyes, he heard someone screaming in his ears, much to his displeasure.'

'He tried to see who it was, putting in a lot of effort to open his tired eyes.'

Huh?...

'But the world twisted in front of his eyes.'

My vision is spinning a little…

'Philip tried to get up from the ground, but his body was unusually weak.'

'However, he could barely discern a shadowy figure in the corner of his eyes, moving around him quickly like a kid running around its parents…'

'And unless something opened, there was only one creature inside his room apart from him, the mimic, Laplabe.'

'But he couldn't do much apart from waiting, remaining still as strength slowly filled his body once more.'

[Your basic abilities have returned to their normal state, recalculating…]

[Readjusting parameters…]

Give me a moment to breathe here…

"Damn! You live! I thought..."

'Seeing him move more and more, even speak, the shadowy creature exclaimed loudly.'

"Don't… Don't scream in my ears…"

"And what do you mean by that? Why wouldn't I be alive?"

How much time did I spend inside the dream this time?

"Are you okay?"

'Philip's eyes narrowed.'

"More so than ever in fact, just a bit tired, both physically and mentally."

"Now, answer me please..."

"..."

'Laplabe's body transformed into a cloud of black mist, flowing like water into the table nearby, condensing into his previous form, a pocket watch.'

"How do I say this?... Ever since you entered this training room, I was given no time at all to rest."

"First was when you collapsed on the ground with those blue flames around you."

"If that wasn't enough, you collapsed again, but this time, you didn't get up."

"..."

"One hour passed… 4 hours passed… Half a day passed yet nothing, no movement."

"At least you were breathing, that made me calm down a little, but you were unresponsive to all stimuli, I thought your soul had left your body or something."

'Philip scratched his head awkwardly as he pushed some of the rubbles around him away.'

"..."

That might've been the case…

"Hm..."

I don't see any problems, guess I'll have to take his word for it.

Out of all of the people that could've appeared to carry on his will, did it have to be such a weird boy?

But I guess only someone this weird would qualify for such a task.

A 'Hero' huh...

'Trying to focus, Philip quickly asked:'

"How long have I been like this?"

"A bit over half a day like I said before, several people came in to check on you even though you told them not to disturb you, you can't really blame them, you weren't exactly precise with your words."

"Especially that girl you walk around with, she came here a few times, but every time she reached the door she hesitated and left."

"For her age, her self-control is praiseworthy."

"Viera huh..."

'Philip slowly remembered what happened, and soon came to a conclusion.'

She must've been worried since a lot happened ever since we left the party.

I'll go talk with her after my body stops hurting.

"The butler came here several times as well, once to say lunch was ready, but when you didn't reply, he left the food at the door."

"He came another time to say that the construction workers had arrived, the ones you requested last time to repair this mess of a room."

"But since you didn't reply again, and due to your previous request of being left alone, he didn't press further and instead left Dinner outside."

"That was about half an hour ago."

'Philip pushed himself off the ground, sitting with his legs crossed as he pondered.'

"Hm… Better than I thought."

It was faster than I expected.

"B-Better? How is this… Forget it, as long as you're okay."

"In any case, go take a shower or something… You look terrible, messy hair, your skin is full of dirt, and your exercise pants are completely torn..."

"And make sure to talk with the people outside, I felt pity for the maid that was asked to wait outside for you."

"There's someone outside?"

'Focusing slightly, it wasn't difficult for Philip to feel the faint breathing of something resting their backs against the wall, together with the strong aroma of food and even a bit of perfume.'

"Of course there is someone, my guy."

"It's so they can serve you as soon as you come out, I must say, this butler of yours is quite professional, and these Maids have quite the patience."

'Philip let out a sigh, he wanted to test many things, such as see what he got, and also test all of his new abilities in this world...'

'But taking care of himself and those around him come first, it wouldn't take long either, the day is long.'

"... Fine. Training more after what happened would be a bit irresponsible."

I need to cool my head down first.

Later on, I'll see exactly what I should do, and then start to make my plans for how I'm going to spend the next 4 months in this place.

Most importantly, start my investigations and find the scientist…

And also, it wouldn't be bad to refresh my memories on what happened, just in case, I forgot some minor details that just happened to have been very important…

My memory is strong, but I'm not a machine.

'Philip got up from the ground, his tattered shorts were about to fall off, but they seemed fine for now.'

/BAM!/

'He clenched his hand, creating a strong wind that ravaged the room.'

[Recalculation complete, health functions stabilized]

[Readjustion successful]

"..."

/Thud.../

'Philip stumbled, almost falling on the ground, he felt his body go weak all of the sudden, but this only lasted for about the blink of an eye.'

"Are you sure you are okay?"

"Yes, I just need some time to... Readjust."

'He read the notifications one more time.'

Last time it did this, my system broke down, but now, it can perfectly complete whatever calculations it is performing.

I wonder if that is good or bad though.

This one too… All of the Vital values increased by about 10.

My stats on both pages changed...

"Hm..."

There was another reason why I didn't spend so many points to raise Health and Stamina, it was something I understood while I relaxed in the bathtub.

When the time arrived for me to return, all of the points I spent on those two stats would go down the drain, mainly because my original's body qualities are simply too superior to Eddy's.

And they would remain so no matter how many points I added onto them, even when the raise becomes progressively better.

As raising Health from 100 to 110 is completely different from raising it from 200 to 210.

But surprisingly, they simply disappeared, and my main body's Stats were changed.

This is the first time I've seen this form of interaction, albeit I didn't have that many opportunities to test this out...

Is this what it meant for them to be readjusted? They were added on top of each other?

I'll think about it after a nice meal…

/Crack crack…/

'Stretching his arms and legs, Philip turned to the side.'

'He went to a small table on the side and grabbed Laplabe, and a small golden orb, his inventory tool.'

'Taking another look at the training room, he even managed to see the obliterated remains of the training dummy, scattered around the place amidst the ruble and the cracks on the walls and the ground…'

"Did I go a bit overboard?"

"Unfortunately, I am too unfamiliar with Human standards to properly discern that." Laplace replied slowly

"There is a line between holding yourself back and overdoing it, a line where holding yourself becomes self-harmful."

"But who should you blame if this place wasn't strong enough to withstand you even while you held yourself?"

"... So I guess I did."

"#!! And I guess my words were ignored." Laplabe replied with a snort

/Sometime later…/

"ZZzzz… Eh!... Um… I can't sleep… Must stay… Focused… zzz…"

/... Snore.../

'Right next to the door that leads to the training room, a young maid stood by next to a silver trail cart, waiting for her master to show any signs of life from within.'

'She had been there for quite some time already, and being honest, her will was commendable, but her body was already giving in.'

'She did not complain in the least, compared to some of her compatriots who were now mopping the grounds around the extensive Manor, remaining here was a blessing, albeit… Silent loneliness wasn't exactly that much better.'

'Don't get her wrong, she loved her job, but even a soldier will get tired after standing still in patrol for half a day.'

/Creak…/

"Zzz…"

'And even when the door opened, she remained sleeping, not realizing that the person she was waiting for so long was already there, looking at her with a helpless smile.'

'The man suddenly had an idea, he went back to the training room and closed the door gently…'

/Knock knock knock!/

"!"

'Several knocks against the door were enough to make the maid jump, her eyes darting around the place in confusion as the door opened once again, making her freeze in place.'

"Hum?"

"M-M-M'Lord!"

'She was about to say something, but she then came to a complete stop, embarrassed.'

'But she was a professional, she quickly continued, albeit her face was a bit red:'

"M-M'Lord… A-Are you done with your training?"

"Yes, I am, enough of it for today."

"H-Here is your dinner… Its…"

'Seeing that the Maid was a bit out of rhythm, Philip decided to take the reins with a small smile.'

"Thank you, would it be too much to ask you to set up a table for me so I can eat it in the living room?"

"Hm? O-Of course not! But…"

'Her meaning was clear… The food was now cold.'

'The silver tray wasn't anything special, it was merely that, so the food quickly cooled off.'

"Don't worry about the food, just lead me there."

I can heat it up again with no problem, besides, having one dinner with cold food is a decent punishment for not taking better care of my surroundings.

"A... As you wish."

'It seemed everything was going well, Philip was pleased with himself for his quick thinking, but the Maid had something else in mind.'

'Why was her Lord topless?...'

'Indeed why? Philip had taken a bath and thrown away his previous training shorts that were now in tatters, but he had several other clothes to wear tucked away in his many inventories…'

'So why was he only with a new pair of shorts and flip-flops?'

'The answer was actually very simple, Philip was simply feeling too hot, perhaps due to his recent changes or some other reason.'

'For him, staying topless was very normal as he did so at home many times.'

'Still, it wasn't like he needed to be embarrassed by anything, this was his home after all…'

/A few minutes later…/

'Inside the main hall where a large table was located, the topless Philip enjoyed a nice warm meal without thinking much about anything.'

'Only him, his food, and his fruit juice.'

'Behind him was Sebastiano, head butler of the Manor, he had a pleased look on his face as he remained there waiting, not minding his Lord's current look at all.'

'He was just happy that he was okay.'

"Hm?"

'He quickly pulled a small triangular object, placing it near his ears… Upon listening to it for a moment, he said:'

"Excuse me, M'Lord, it's the construction group, should I tell them to return tomorrow?"

'Philip cleaned his lips with a tissue, saying:'

"They're still here?... Tell them that they're free to do as they wish, they can start at any moment, I won't be going back into training anytime soon."

It would be a bit rude to send them away like that.

I don't want them to end up being sloppy next time due to being angry.

Besides, that place is too messy for me to train in there...

'Sebastiano bowed in understanding, going to the side so as to not disturb his Lord as he ate in peace and tranquility.'

/Chomp… Chomp…/

'But this peace wouldn't be lasting long it seemed...'

/Step step step…/

'From one of the corridors on the side, the disorderly echoing sounds of footsteps became louder and louder as 2 people quickly approached his location.'

"M… Miss! Please don't run in the hallways!..."

/Fwosh!/

"Huff… Yo… You…"

"..."

'Elegantly putting his cutlery on the table, Philip slowly turned his face to face Viera, who was now exhaling due to running too much.'

(Image)

"#!!"

'Seeing his smug face as he did all of this, putting on the facade of a Lord, looking at her with a serene look made her considerably annoyed…'

'Especially because he was topless!'

"Would you like to join me?" He asked as he pointed at the cake on the side

'That cake wasn't there from the start, instead, it was a carefully prepared trap he set up for this girl.'

'It was pure white, with a beautiful strawberry on top, at least, it looked like one...'

"I… Fine."

'And she took the bait!'

'But before she sat down, her maid said tiredly:'

"M…Miss, you already ate dinner…"

"It's just a small bit of cake, it won't kill me."

"Th-That's not it..."

'Philip smiled, grabbing his fruit juice as he mumbled:'

"You better listen to her, you don't want to get f…"

/Fwoosh!/

'His hair was blown backward by a strong gush of air as Viera looked at him with a dark expression, a revolving magical cube full of runes flying in front of her index finger.'

"If you say that I'll make you bald next."

"..."

She's getting faster with her casting...

'Philip did not say much, instead, his expression went back to serious as he looked straight at her:'

"Did I make you worry?"

"Ah!..."

'Viera was taken off guard by his sudden shift of mood, she knew he wasn't playing anymore, so she sat down on the table and replied:'

"No… I... Just a bit alright."

'She grabbed a fork, looking at Philip once more.'

"Yesterday night was such a chaotic trip, I saw firsthand how those pretentious people lived and partied..."

"There were some fights, you got hurt and you hurt others..."

"Then you holed yourself inside the training room, causing trouble multiple times as the hours passed…"

"And then you skipped Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner… Spending close to a day inside that place."

"How am I supposed to act?" She asked as she clenched her fork

'Philip's lips twisted into a half smile as he said in a more gentle tone:'

"I see... I'm sorry, to worry you like this."

"I really am... I feel as if I've said this a few times already."

"Why do you think that's the case?" She said with a mocking expression

'Viera looked at him with an upset face, but she soon smiled.'

"So? Are you going to update me on what happened or are you going to say it was all some sort of training?"

'Philip took a bite of his food, looking at her with an inquisitive look...'

"... Technically you are right."

'She rolled her eyes, taking a bite of her cake.'

"It is okay if you don't wish to share it, I don't mind… But next time, at least try to warn me or anyone else if you decide to ghost us for a while."

"Sigh..."

I wasn't trying to do that... But she won't accept an 'It's complicated' answer.

"Alright, this won't be happening again... Not anytime soon anyway..."

"What did you just say?"

"Heh, nothing."

I did say that I didn't want to be disturbed… But I just need to be clearer next time.

It is good that there are people concerned about me, it feels great.

One day, if something does happen to me while I'm alone, someone will be there to the rescue.

Albeit Laplabe will most likely fill this gap.

'Philip continued to eat his food while Viera watched him, and after a small, while he said:'

"Before, you told me to meet you after I came out of the training room, what was the reason for that?"

"Nothing really that important… I just wanted to ask if you were truly okay and try to understand what had happened at the party…"

'Philip opened his eyes in understanding, letting out a chuckle even.'

"Is this funny?"

"If you understand the context… Then yes… It is very amusing."

'Philip pushed his empty plate aside, grabbing another one, his hunger had barely gone away...'

"There's a lot of food to go through, so let me tell you what happened."

'Viera was surprised.'

"You're actually going to tell me?"

I thought he was going to brush it aside again…

"I was a bit embarrassed about the reason, but I don't mind it anymore."

"So, it all started when we first arrived in this City…"

'Philip started to narrate the events that led to him confronting Rafiel, and also why he suddenly clashed with the mysterious masked figure in the forest.'

'His story made Viera's eyelids twitch, to think the entire reason they were called to the party was due to Philip gazing at another girl…'

'Somewhat, it made her dumbfounded.'

'Following that, he explained what he did inside the training room, at least, he tried, not like she would understand how he was experimenting with his martial arts.'

'He avoided talking about the System as it would reveal more than he wished to right now, but for now, it was enough to calm her feelings.'

/Half an hour later./

'After having a nice meal, Philip and Viera parted ways.'

'He went to brush his teeth and put on a shirt and once he was done, he was quick to go after her, quickly arriving at the main and sole Office of the Manor.'

/Creeak/

'Opening the door with an honest smile, he gazed at the young lady that was now sitting on the sofa reading a book:'

"May I have your attention once more?"

/Poof/

"Sure." She replied as she closed her book, something on magic theory…

/Poof.../

'He sat opposite her on a couch, getting comfortable on it before saying:'

"I didn't really touch on this subject before due to a time restraint, but I'm actually very concerned about your studies."

"It must've been a bother to you since in a sense, even if your Circle was too high to act as a student, as long as you remained in the Academy, you could still slowly gather more and more knowledge over time, or at least, have a guideline to follow."

"It would still take a while for you to make noticeable progress, but there you had the chance to gather resources, with me, you have nothing apart from a few books you brought for self-research."

'Viera was dumbfolded.'

"Wh…? No, no." She replied as she shook her head

"I'm fine, didn't you tell me before that staying at the Academy was a mistake and a risk due to the political fights that were happening within it?"

Albeit I do miss my days of going to the library and grabbing whatever I fancied, not having to worry about anything else is just... An incredible feeling.

I don't need to fear for my life... At least as much.

I live well, no more need to share a room with those bitches...

Nor do I need to care about my food and expenses, just study.

"Yes, I did say that."

"But this does not remove the fact that you are on your own in regard to your own development."

'Viera looked at her book, smiling bitterly.'

"I don't want to sound ungrateful… Both to you and my master… But I'm used to it, I'll make it work somehow…"

"No, you won't…"

'The touching moment broke down as she looked at him with a tense and red forehead.'

"#!! How rude!"

Humph! I want to see what you'll say once I become 7th Circle!

"... Because I'll help you." He replied with a small teasing smile as he took something from his golden inventory tool

'A smooth, black rectangular box about the size of a large traveling backpack.'

"You'll… Help me?"

What is that? It looks like a chunk of smooth obsidian.

'Seeing her expression, he smiled.'

"This is my way to help you, the answer to your problems, Philip style."

"..."

He constantly goes from joking around to being serious...

Did I worry about him too much? He looks about the same...

The same annoying guy... But he's...

'As she went in deep thought, Philip continued his narration:'

"Albeit I have money, it wouldn't be proper to hire teachers for you, and even if I could, finding one isn't easy when I have so few connections…"

I can buy whatever resource we need, and I have many more inside this Golden ball...

I just need permission to use most of it.

Everything I spend on Viera will eventually come out multiplied if she could become a high circle wizard within a few years' time...

I'm sure that even that can be sped up.

Initially, I went to the academy to get the Origin Orb, but I found much more.

Even before I left, I discussed with Dae the possibility of something suspicious in regard to it, after all, an Origin Orb wouldn't just casually fall into the hands of a student...

And the result was meeting her and her master, and now, I wonder where that will lead me to...

/Cough!/

"Moving on... In front of you is something I… Made… Sort of."

I did order for it to be custom-made, so I have a hand in its current design.

"An interesting tool that can help you study more efficiently, faster, and much more."

"What do you…"

'Viera didn't understand, she felt nothing from the item in front of him, so it didn't seem to be a Magic tool, but it wasn't that, then what?'

'She couldn't feel any energy waves coming from it as well... And that either means it's a mechanical item, or whatever made it was beyond her current understanding.'

'Some sort of tool made with methods she was unaware of?'

"Initiate system. Password: Orange34."

[Voice recognition pass. Keyword pass. Initiating all systems…]

[All_Purpose Multi-Tool FJSS V3.2.c has initiated]

'Suddenly, two metal straps were released from one of its sides just like the last time he used it.'

'This greatly startled Viera, who didn't expect the strange object to move, much less speak!'

'What was this object... No, creature?'

'Albeit... She didn't really understand it. Nor the words Philip was uttering.'

[All_Purpose Multi-Tool FJSS V3.2.c has initiated]

[Processing…]

"Jump all of that, and remain on standby." Philip interrupted all of the sudden

[Understood, halting automatic environmental analyses]

"Philip… Please…"

I'm as lost as a fish in the desert...

'He nodded to her, understanding her confusion.'

"Activate Scan mode." He said in fluent English

[Scanning mode activated]

'The backpack started to change, and a hole opened on the side where something similar to a dark controller was released into the open for all to see.'

'He grabbed it, and gave it to Viera.'

"Perhaps you may remember this, at least recognize it."

"This is…"

The strange object he asked me to hold and point at every single bookshelf of the Libraries?

It was really annoying… But what has this to do with anything?

"I didn't properly explain it to you last time, and I imagine you are still slightly annoyed at me for giving you that tiring task..."

"You bet I do, will I finally understand why?"

"Hopefully yes..."

"But let me finish first... Where was I?"

"... tiring task... But as I said last time, what you did greatly helped your future."

'He pointed at the rectangular object, smiling proudly.'

"In front of you lies the All_Purpose Multi-Tool, and as its name indicates, it possesses the means to carry plenty of tasks ranging from data gathering to even long-range communication."

Albeit that, in particular, isn't as useful when the people in this world have their own ways of doing that...

"I'll free you of the explanations behind it because doing so would take weeks and it isn't necessary."

"You just need to know a few things."

"Okayyyy… I'm still confused but go on."

He seems happy, so I'll just let him be, like always, he'll likely surprise me.

'Philip smiled.'

"Open a display board, 3M by 1M."

[Displaying]

/Fuon!/

"!"

'A blue hologram similar to the status screen appeared on top of the black box.'

"This Multi-Tool is… I'll call it MT from now on."

"MT is a pretty intelligent and resourceful friend, you give it an order and it'll try to do it, simple."

"So it's a golem?"

"Uh... Kind off... Like... A very rough comparison."

"Indeed, MT is not a living being… I will repeat myself, MT is not a living being."

"Like you said, MT is akin to a golem, albeit a highly intelligent one."

"You give it an order, and it'll try to accomplish it, but if you go too far, it won't be able to perform that well…"

"And going on in this comparison, MT is much more sensitive than a Golem and much harder to repair as well, but the tasks it can perform are that grander."

"So in the future, whenever you give it order, don't try to be cheeky and ask it deep philosophical or trap questions like what is the meaning of life, or ask it to resolve a mathematically impossible question."

"Fine, I understood until there, now explain to me why I would use MT." Viera asked, amused

'She found it funny seeing him like this, so interested in something..'

'Philip tried to think really hard as to explain the rest.'

"I said it before, you give it an order, MT will try to accomplish it, however, MT isn't a maid, it won't cook for you, nor will it clean your clothes..."

"Instead, MT works on a process-by-process basis in a methodic way, and this means that if something clogs, everything stops, and this creates a cycle that could end up in its own destruction."

"Because MT will put more and more 'effort' at trying to answer your question, which could lead to its own self-destruction due to overheating..."

"To mitigate this, I put a safety measure, MT will only at any moment use 1% of its total memory capacity, and if it goes over that, it'll stop whatever tasks you gave it."

Albeit 1% is still massive as this MT was made with one hell of a computer…

Currently, MT is already doing several tasks I had previously asked it to do, and this is consuming around 10 to 20% of its memory capacity, but that is separate from the 1% rule I set for her.

First, it was language research, so it could create a universal translator and a proper way for me to learn all languages as I want to raise my Western continent language to the Max Level.

I also gave it another sub-task, which was to analyze each book and catalog its contents, this would turn MT into some sort of Sage that has an answer for almost any question, instead of it being a machine that simply does a data search and gives you what it finds.

Thus turning it into a mini version of my Mental Library, and over time, I would absorb the books within MT into myself.

Starting off with the most important ones of course.

But even then, MT would still be very useful.

'Seeing her pensive expression, Philip asked:'

"Did you understand so far?"

"Uh… I kind of, yeah. It's pretty much a golem, although I don't understand the language..."

"The language?... Oh, my bad."

"Multi tool, alter the main language to the Barion language."

[From now on, voice inputs shall be relayed through the Barion language]

"Huh? I understand it now..."

I'm getting a headache...

"Good, now that we are on the same page, allow me to show you why this is something that helps you…"

"Open archive, and…"

'He turned to Viera and said:'

"Give me a question."

"About what?"

"Anything, even better if it's something you are pondering about."

'She looked at her book, saying with a smug smile:'

"Hm… I'm a bit confused in regard to the Preserved Dynamics of Flowing Spells… From Archmage Willow…"

[Voice recognition fail]

"..."

"..."

'Philip face palmed.'

"Cough! Register new User…"

[Imput authority Level]

'Philip scratched his head for a moment before saying:'

"Restricted to Database-related directives."

[Autority set: Custom]

"Password: Orange34" He said in English

[Confirmed, User register ready to be completed]

"Also, create a separate Archive for this User, just name it User 2-Viera."

[Archive created]

'With a nod, Philip turned to Viera and said:'

"Just say whatever you wish, just a disclaimer, it has to be something you can remember easily, that'll become your key to using MT."

"MT will always ask for this key, so if you forget it, only by coming to me will you be able to use it again, so be careful."

"Huh… This is… Interesting." She said with an amused smile

It has a voice lock as well? How... Unique.

'She cleared her throat and said:'

"Philip is an Asshole."

"..."

'Philip's expression turned black.'

[Please, repeat it 2 more times in different tones to complete voice recognition]

"..."

"My pleasure!"

'She coughed and took a deep breath.'

"Philip… Is… An… Ass…Hole…" She said in a deep and slow tone

"..."

[One more time]

"~Philip is… An asshole!~" She said excitedly in a higher pitch

[Voice recognition completed, password set, to complete register, name this User]

"? Godde..."

"Lil Mage Vi, the Unwise." Philip said in a serene tone

"Hey!"

[User has been named]

[Welcome Lil Mage Vi, the Unwise]

"..."

"Heh."

'While Viera frowned, Philip smiled smugly.'

"Change… Change User name!"

[Insert new User name]

'Viera suddenly became embarrassed.'

"Ar… Archmage Viera."

[Welcome Archmage Viera]

"Hehe... Th-Thank you…"

'Philip rolled his eyes as he saw the embarrassed girl talk with the machine.'

"We can play more later, let's continue."

"As this display should've shown you, interacting with MT is pretty simple, and it seems you've gotten the hang of it."

"This is where things get interesting… Inside MT, there is an entire Library of books."

'Viera looked at the rectangular object, but she didn't quite understand how a Library could fit inside it...'

"How? Is there a spatial compression within it?"

"No."

"Then is it like a..."

"Whatever you are going to say... No."

"..."

"I said that it was a bit too complicated already, if you want to learn it, I could teach it to you one day... But not now."

"Anyway, what matters is how large this internal library is."

"And don't be shocked, but it's equivalent to all external libraries of the Academy."

"... Is this some sort of joke?" Viera asked with a frown, she wasn't shocked at all

"It isn't, it is reality… How about we try it out?"

Was it too shocking for her to the point she instantly denied it? How sad...

"Open Archive, display all scanned books from the Library documents in alphabetical order."

[Processing…]

'It took a few seconds for this operation, but the hologram soon changed to a long list of books.'

"Try it, give it a name… Any book, I doubt it won't be here."

"It can't be… You're playing with me." She said as she got up from the couch

Even if he has the resources, how did he get so many books?

'Her eyes sharpened as she had an idea.'

"... Triangular Defensive Formations by Juliurus."

I always wanted to read this book, but there weren't that many copies of it.

Every time I had time and tried to book it someone else would take it from me...

I was merely unlucky but it shows that this is a popular book.

'The page refreshed, showing several books with the same name, at least 5 books, each one was of a different version, from Volume 1 to 5.'

'Viera was shocked once more.'

A-All Volumes?! I didn't even know there were so many...

"Py… Pyramidal constructs and Aspherical circuits by Guli!"

'Once again, the page refreshed, showing 2 books this time.'

"..."

'She was speechless.'

"I told you, MT is a multi-tool, and one of its many abilities is the capability to copy books into itself, and during my time in the Academy, I copied all of the External libraries and even the Internal ones."

"This was the task I gave you, what you did that time was let MT copy the books so they could be added to this Archive."

"Every single book is here without exception, if it isn't here, it is either because it's very rare, or because we were unlucky."

"Not only that, you can at any point request MT to teach you any of these books to you, like this…"

"Formulate a learning schedule on… Hm... Basic Circle Theory from the very beginning until 2rd Circle."

If I choose a circle too high it may take too long or things will start to become imprecise since MT has yet to catalog everything.

[Processing…]

'Half a minute later…'

[Processing complete, you may start at any moment]

"So… So fast?" Viera asked, appealed

'She tried to touch the hologram, and albeit her finger passed through it, she managed to open the archive, showing a very direct and efficient training method without redundancies.'

"It... It is a very good tool..."

'She gulped slightly as her expression became a bit pale.'

"But isn't this... Ilegal?... Like... Extremely so?!"

'Philip's head tilted.'

"You copied all of the books from the Academy! If someone were to know this..."

"Pretty cool, right?"

"..."

He doesn't care, does he?... If he can do it, he'll do it...

Urg... Fine, guess I'm on this boat regardless.

So I have to try my best so it continues to stay afloat.

"For now… This is all I wanted to show you."

"In case you are confused, I am here for you, don't be too ashamed to ask me for help."

"Thank you for the help... I'll... Try to use it well."

'Philip smiled.'

"Despite this sounding strange, you may always ask MT on how to use it, simply ask it for the 'User manual' and it'll teach you everything you need to know."

"Also, I think it's clear at this point, but MT is very precious."

"So don't leave it unattended or next to any sort of dangerous items, such as fireplaces, or magical items, especially any form of liquid, this includes humid places."

"MT was made to be resistant, but it was also made with the thought that its users wouldn't be irresponsible kids."

"Sure thing!"

I'm getting excited... Does it have... What about that one?... Can it...

I'm getting ahead of myself.

'Seeing her smile, Philip shook his head, slightly accomplished.'

'He didn't mind letting her use MT since it was merely rotting inside his inventory with only being momentarily taken out, if he needs it, he could always just grab it.'

"Lastly… MT needs a power source, for that, just leave it to me, wherever MT is close to shutting down due to low power, it'll notify you of that."

"But until you have my approval, please do not try to power it, I'll teach you everything later, okay?"

"Huh… I feel like you're treating me as a kid but I understand, this is something I'm not familiar with, so I need to be careful..."

Wouldn't want to break something that isn't mine... Especially when it was lent to me for my own good.

"That wasn't an 'okay' to me."

"Okay! Petty bastard..."

'Philip smiled once more.'

"I'll leave you to have some fun…"

/Cough!/

'But his expression suddenly sharpened.'

"Multi-Tool, take a selfie of Viera and use it as the background of her archive, now!"

"Wha...?"

/SNAP!/

"!"

'Suddenly, a large hologram of her face appeared in front of Viera.'

'And she saw her horrible expression in beautiful 64K...'

"You... How... How do I erase this from existence?" She said as her facial expression twisted

[To delete this photo, Admin authority is required]

"Admin? What does that mean? Philip?..."

'But he wasn't there anymore.'

"#!!"

"Philip!"

'Her cries were answered with silence, and now, she would have to stare at her face for now, until she found out how to change her archive background...'

'But it would take a few days for her to learn that such a thing was possible...'

'As for the man himself, he was already outside of the Manor, opening the gates with a calm gaze.'

"Alright, that's done."

Time to search for a certain Dwarf.

Notes

If you are interested, some of the languages used in the Southern part of the Continent were indeed shown, but that was long ago...

Here they are if you are interested:

Arlua Language

-The Arlua language is the most used language. The mother tongue you could say. The royal family together with the church makes sure that every single Human in its territory will receive proper education and grow up to be able to at least talk in this language.

Barion Language

-The Barion Language is the language mostly used between merchants. It's a slightly more complex language used by those of higher class since it's quite difficult to learn it compared to the Arlua language. But nevertheless, you will most likely see the language being used commonly inside big cities.

Elios Language

-The Elios Language is a special language. It's a neutral language made in order to allow all races to properly communicate. It's the second most important language for merchants and people who constantly leave the country.

Drumben Language

-The Drumben Language is a written scholarly language. Its main aspect is how complex it really is. It's mainly used among scholars to compress high amounts of information into books. 85% of all of the books in the royal capital are written in this language.
