25 Chapter 25 - Subjugation

In the shroud of night, Spencer could be seen walking out of a tent holding an unconscious man by the back of the neck, dragging him to the center of the tribe where Quintus and Hagen could be seen throwing bodies in a pile.

Seeing Spencer approaching, with the unconscious man in tow, Quintus and Hagen stopped what they were doing, waiting for his orders.

"This is their leader."

After holding up and pointing out the person he is holding as the leader of this tribe, he tossed him in front of Quintus and Hagen without a second thought.

"Gather all women and children of the tribe, bring them all here." he solemnly spoke.

As he gave his orders, Quintus and Hagen followed them without question, they went into each tent and dragged out the women and children hiding within them. They would bring them all to Spencer's feet before going back for the rest. The process did not take long, Quintus and Hagen did not hold back when dragging the women and children out of their tents.

In just a few minutes, all of the women and children that were in the tribe were at Spencer's feet, the number amounted to 20 or so women, while the number of children was around 12. Spencer looked down at the residents in front of him with cold eyes.

"Your leader had sent invaders into our tribe, killing our people and burning our homes. In return, we have taken over your tribe as payment for what he has done, you will all be used to rebuild our tribe and your children will be given a new purpose. Do you understand?"

The people did not reply, they only looked at him with hateful eyes. Spencer seeing this was getting annoyed, taking in a deep breath he compressed his lungs.

"DO YOU UNDERSTAND?!"

Spencer released all the built-up pressure and yelled out. The people in front of him held their ears in pain.

"Listen and listen well. We will be taking over this place and will be using all of you as a means to rebuild what we lost."

This time around the women nodded in response to Spencer's demands as they did not want to repeat what happened a few moments ago. Seeing that they have nothing to say, Spencer looked at Hagen and began to speak.

"Return to the tribe, and bring whoever is left."

Nodding his head, Hagen began to make his way over to his tribe to retrieve the remaining members. Seeing Hegan leaving, Spencer looked at Quintus and signaled him to watch the group of women and children so that they would not escape.

Spencer then walked over to the unconscious leader. Squatting down over his body, he summoned his claws. Quintus who was looking over at Spencer was again shocked by this display of supernatural abilities, but he did not react as he had already chosen to accept that Spencer was not like them.

Extending his clawed right hand, Spencer stabbed the leader in his thighs. The leader jolted up in immense pain and began screaming and writhing on the ground. Retracting his claws, he grabbed the leader's mouth to stop him for screaming, then held him in the air.

"Now that you woke up, we can continue our little talk."

Spencer carried the leader into the tent and threw him onto the soil before he sat down next to him with his legs crossed.

"Your name?"

The leader looked at Spencer confused. Spencer seeing him not responding, summoned his claws again and stabbed him in his foot making him scream out.

"I said, your name?"

He asked the question a second time but in a slightly louder voice than before.

"K...Karok" the leader answered, struggling to even give his name, as he was in a lot of pain.

"Well, Karok, tell me, why did you attack our tribe without any provocation?"

Hearing Spencer's question, Karok grew scared In his heart, he knew that Spencer was going to kill him no matter what reason he gave for attacking the tribe. Struggling to open his mouth, he said.

"Your tribe's leader had dishonored me and my people by mating with my daughter and leaving us afterward."

Upon hearing this answer, it was now Spencer's turn to be confused.

"Agron?" Spencer asked, tilting his head.

"Yes, your tribe's leader ha.."

Karok was interrupted, with Spencer raising his hand in front of him. Then as the leader stopped talking, he grabbed his forehead, and with a tired sigh, he muttered to himself.

"No wonder he tried to flee... He was scared of what you would do to him. This all began because of Agron mated with your daughter and left."

Karok was getting more and more confused the more Spencer went on.

"However…"

Spencer looked at the leader with cold eyes, his face turning grim. He stood up, grabbing the man, and pulled Karok up in the air. He brought him outside, walking towards the group of women that Quintus was guarding.

Raising the man high up in front of the group of women, he exerted a bit more pressure, slowly squeezing the man's face. As the man painfully cried, Spencer kept looking at the group. Seeing a flinch in one of them, a satisfied smile crept upon his face, he slowly released the pressure, still holding the flailing leader in the air.

Looking at the group of frightened women, he sternly spoke.

"Which one is the daughter of this filth? Stand up or watch in silence as I crush his skull and eat his brain. I'm giving you a count from 3." He flinched at the woman in the back, he spotted earlier.

"3..." Starting the countdown, he exerted a bit more pressure once again on the man's skull. Korok kept shouting and flailing feeling hellish pain. The girl in the back clenched her fists and growled in anger.

"2…" Slowly increasing the pressure, the sound of bones cracking could be heard. Unable to bear listening to his father's cries any longer, the girl in the back stood up, looking defiantly at Spencer.

"STOP!"

The voice caught Spencer's attention, he immediately looked up to see who it was. Standing at the back, glaring at him was a woman wearing an animal tooth necklace. He threw the tortured man to the ground, as he looked at the girl.

"He is my father, let him go!"

Hearing her speak, Spencer kept his composure. Nodding at Quintus he curtly spoke.

"Bring her to me."

Quintus immediately followed the order and went over to the woman to bring her in front of Spencer.

When Quintus tried to grab her, she tried to retaliate by attacking him. This was a poor attempt, as Quintus's body was already tempered by Spencer during "training". He quickly subdued the woman and brought her to her knees in front of Spencer, she could only look up at him in hatred.

"Don't hurt her!"

Gathering all his remaining willpower, Karok looked up at Spencer with raging hatred in his eyes. He tried to stand up, but his struggle was quickly cut short with Quintus slamming his face on the soil. Karok's daughter tried to help her father but was grabbed by Spencer, and was held up in the air by her hair, causing her to wince in pain.

"Huh, you really are something…"

Looking the woman in the eyes, Spencer changed his tongue, making it reptilian-like, forked. Using his now snakish tongue, he slowly licked the face of Karok's daughter, making Karok furious. He desperately tried to break from the hold Quintus had on him.

Retracting his tongue, Spencer looked down at the struggling leader and spoke.

"When your people invaded our tribe, they killed the women and our children without care. What did they do against you and your people?"

Then turning his head he looked at the girl, still hanging by her hair. Using his hand he grabbed her chin, forcing her to look Spencer in the eyes.

"The father you try to protect killed the innocent and slaughtered our people just because one man from YOUR tribe defiled you. Tell me, where is their justice? What did they do against you!"

Seeing the girl looking at him with defiant eyes, Spencer threw him next to his father on the ground. Then turning towards Quintus, he nodded.

"Let him go. Grab the girl, make her kneel."

"Are you sure? He seems broken…" Quintus answered hesitantly.

Spencer only nodded in response. Quintus, obeying the order, released Karok, and grabbed the girl forcing her to stand up on her knees.

Vanishing from his spot, he appeared next to the struggling Korok, and pulled him up, forcing him to face his daughter.

"Kill her."

He solemnly gave the order to the leader.

Korok, unable to process his words, looked at him with a questioning gaze. Spencer solemnly repeated the words.

"Kill her."

Seeing that he is still unresponsive, he walked to the kneeling girl grabbing her throat. She looked at her father, sobbing.

"You killed our children and murdered our women. All because of this one girl. Now here's your choice. Either I will do it, or you look her in the eyes and tell her that this is all her fault, and then you snap her neck. If you do that, you will have a chance to live. If not, I will kill you both."

Not even sparing a moment for thinking, Korok dragged himself in front of his daughter and leaned close to look her in the eyes. Without a shred of remorse, he spoke, as if his previous action would have just been a fake.

"This is all your fault. Because of you, we are doomed. Because of your pathetic choice, our tribe is now ruined. You are not my daughter, you are just dirt." He said and even spat on her face.

He wasn't even fazed when he saw his daughter's empty look as it morphed from anger to pain, then to sorrow, only to end up becoming empty. His father humiliating her in front of his enemies, just to save himself...

Then as he slowly raised his hand and was about to grab her throat, when a sudden whooshing sound was heard. His hands stopped and as the incredulous expression sat on his face, his head slowly slid off from his neck.

Giving a loud slap on the face, he woke the girl from his misery, only to look at the man he thought of as father to fall to the ground in front of him, headless.

She wanted to cry but was unable to. The man she looked up to, whom she adored, spat on her face and unhesitantly tried to kill her just to save himself.

"Remember this moment. That was the man you called your father. Selling your body to a tribesman, only to have our people murdered in cold blood. Grow to be a better person than he was, or you will end up like him."

Seeing the broken girl, he looked at Quintus and nodded at him.

"Bring her back to the rest."

As Quintus grabbed the unresponsive woman and dragged her back to the rest, Spencer leaned down next to Korok's body.

Waving his claws, Spencer separated Karok's head into three sections.

With the matter settled, leaving the headless body to rot in the mud, Spencer stood up. Looking at the direction of the leader's tent, he looked at the soulless husk that remained of the girl. He let out a loud sigh, and without looking at the group, he spoke with a grave tone.

"Once the rest arrives, help them settle in. This place is going to be our new home. Tell the male, they can use these females to increase our numbers."

Turning his head sideways, he took a peek at the defeated daughter one last time.

"Everyone except that one. Once everything is settled, escort her to my tent."

Even though he didn't point to anybody, Quintus knew who he was referring to, and nodded in response.

Then without waiting for any more words, Spencer walked inside the tent that he found the leader and absorbed the dead bodies on the floor. After he did this he sat down on the bed of the dead leader and started reveling in the feeling of how much he enjoyed this, the feeling of taking over another tribe filled Spencer with pride that he never felt before.

He ran his fingers through his hair and began thinking of the entire process over again. He wanted another taste of that feeling that coursed through his body only a few moments ago. His eyes radiating a purple hue, he wanted more and knew how to get it.

"Let's see what the future holds…"
