119 Chapter 119: Battle For New Strongest.

Back on the surface, the curtain created by Mute abruptly faded away causing the stagnant air inside the curtain to flow out, the sudden influx of breathable air made wild gusts. Mute was staring at a figure with their hair blowing in the air, while Yuta slowly healed his arm. Mute kept staring at this figure until suddenly their body flickered and reappeared directly in front of him throwing a mighty overhand.

Mute glared at the incoming knuckles before he started using his cursed technique on the incoming fist but for some reason, the fist didn't stop. Mute eyes widened before he glanced at the kneeling Yuta as the powerful overhand slammed into his chin. A single ear-deafening shockwave rippled out causing nearby windows to shatter violently.

The punch contorted Mute's face before his body was propelled back at intense speeds, Mute air blew wildly as his body flew back soaring through the air. The single punch had dislocated Mute's jaw. Mute reached up touching his broken jaw before smirking and speaking while he healed his jaw.

" She hits about the same, as a matter of fact, it feels slightly weaker. Looks like she hasn't improved much. "

The figure that appeared on the battlefield was no other than Yuki Tsukumo. When she caught Mute off guard by suddenly appearing directly in front of him, she didn't move faster than Mute could preserve instead her body was transported by Yuta using Mute's technique.

One's body can be teleported, if the recipient wishes for their body to be transported. But even with Yuki's body being transported, Mute had plenty of time to react to her movements, however, her fist couldn't be stopped by Mute's technique.

The reason for this was something that Mute figured out nearly instantly, Yuta had covered Yuki's fist with Mute's technique, very similar to the earlier exchange, between Yuta and Mute. One can nullify a technique if it's the same technique. However, unbeknownst to Mute, Yuta covering Yuki's fist had unprecedented benefits.

The extra layer of cursed energy wrapped around Yuki's fist, weakened her own cursed technique making her punch weaker. Mute moved his now healed jaw before glancing down at a small black car with shattered windows flipped in the middle of the road. He quickly shrunk the distance between himself and the car appearing next to it. However, before Mute could breathe, his eyes widened and he swayed to the left slipping a punch from Yuta.

The punch slammed into the bottom of the car making the car propel several blocks before crashing through a white brick wall. The sound of faint bricks crashing into the ground rippled out entering Mute's ears until he dashed back dodging a kick from Yuki. Mute kept dashing back gaining distance before a massive shadow was cast on Mute's body making him look up into the sky.

Rapidly descending through the air, was Rika holding onto Yuki's shikigami. Rika twisted her burly arm, quickly whipping the shikigami down towards Mute, the whip sliced through the air before violently slamming into the asphalt road. The sound of several cracks echoed out before the force of the attack started to split the road in two.

Mute gazed at the splitting road shocked by the attack's weight, before the road shot apart dividing into two halves, the sudden division of the road, made Mute lose his footing making him stumble. Right as he regained his balance, Yuta appeared directly next to him twirling, throwing a swift kick. Yuta's heel was about to connect with Mute's chin until Mute vanished reappearing several feet away near a vibrant blue mailbox.

Mute leaned on the box glaring at Yuta before his legs unexpectedly bent and the metal mailbox crumbled. An overwhelming pressure was engulfing Mute. Mute gritted his teeth trying to withstand the sudden increase in gravity. Just as Mute was finally getting accustomed to the gravity, Rika descended from above, crashing down in front of him, whipping the shikigami at Mute's neck.

Mute tracks the incoming shikigami before a calculated move enters his mind and, he loosens the muscles in his legs, using the increased gravity to his advantage, letting the increased pressure crash him to the ground. The shikigami sails over the falling Mute's head slicing off pieces of hair. Mute is about to slam face-first into the ground until suddenly Yuki appears under him. Mute's eyes widen before he retightens his leg muscles stopping his descent to the cracked road. However, before Mute could lean back Yuki threw a lightning-fast uppercut striking Mute's chin with tremendous force, the punch was so powerful that it launched Mute up into the air.

Mute repeatedly flipped in the air, with crimson blood spewing out of his mouth. Mute flipped for a final time before he grabbed onto his mouth while descending through the air, Mute slowly healed his mouth while glaring down.

During this battle, there won't be any more talking, everyone involved in this fight was fully focused. They knew they didn't have time to talk, this fight would be decided by mere milliseconds. Mute ponders before he glances at Rika and expands the snake spirit wrapped around his wrist, reaching into his mouth before pulling a singular bronze arrow.

Mute shrinks the spirit while twirling the arrow using his fingertips, Mute takes a singular deep breath before chucking the arrow towards the Rika, the arrow soars through the air before suddenly the air around it glitches and the arrow divides into thousands of arrows filled with Mute's cursed energy.

The premise of this cursed tool is far simpler than the cursed tool from earlier, its main function is the ability to divide into a near-endless amount of arrows. This cursed tool was designed to clear out a group of weaker curses such as fly heads.

These arrows should have little to no effect on a strong curse such as Rika however, Mute didn't plan on eliminating Rika with this instead, he wanted to regain something.

The colossal amount of arrows rained down from the sky until suddenly Mute appeared directly above Yuki throwing an axe kick that slammed into the top of her head. Yuta stared at Mute kicking Yuki before his eyes widened and he screamed out.

" Hey! I can't appear next to these arrows! "

Yuki glanced at Yuta gritting her teeth, confused. The reason for Yuta not being able to appear next to arrows was something that Mute had planned while descending through the air if he engulfed the arrows with his own cursed energy in theory. Yuta wouldn't be able to transport his body to the arrows, and luckily for Mute his theory turned out to be correct.

The arrows were about to pierce into Yuki and Rika until Mute suddenly snapped and the falling arrows halted in unison, Yuta stared at the arrows confused before he smirked and dashed towards Mute who was falling out of the air after kicking Yuki. It was clear to Yuta, that the weakness of this overwhelming cursed tool was that the arrows could only be used once.

Mute glanced at the charging Yuta before his body flickered appearing next to Yuta throwing a kick that was narrowly blocked using both hands. The reason for Mute stopping the arrows was simple, he knew the arrows wouldn't truly injure a strong sorcerer like Yuki, instead, he prioritized regaining his speed advantage over Yuta.

Yuta tried to counter with a stiff straight kick but before it could connect Mute body flickered reappearing next to an arrow above Yuta's head, even if Yuta could use Mute's technique. If Yuta didn't have the same chances as Mute, he would be dramatically slower. Mute twirls in the air throwing another swift kick. While this kick traveled through the air, three characteristics were running through his head.

These characteristics were the ways to stop, Mute's technique. To stop the technique you either completely understand the basics of his technique or your technique must be a stronger version of his technique. But, the most simple way to stop Mute's technique is to completely obscure his vision.

Mute was hoping that the thousands of arrows would stop Yuta from being able to use his technique but he was unfortunately wrong. Mute slammed the kick into Yuta's nose rocking his head back before Mute's body flickered out of the air and he threw a barrage of attacks into Yuta's body repeatedly disappearing before reappearing. Yuta grimaced in pain before he looked straight into the sky.

Mute materialized behind Yuta throwing a punch at his back until abruptly Yuta vanished. The missed punch made Muta stumble forward before a sudden wave of powerful cursed energy engulfed Mute's body making him snap his head up. Mute stared up into the sky staring at an upside Yuta with his hand pointing to him. Directly above Yuta's index finger was an oddly shape orb of energy.

Purple light admitted out the powerful orb of energy, illuminating the barren road filled with floating arrows, Mute stared up at the purple orb watching Rika materialize next to the descending Yuta, Mute was about to dash back out of the range of the attack until suddenly the gravity around his body increased ten fold causing his legs to bend. Mute glanced to the left staring at Yuki who was pointing at him until she suddenly grinned and the sound of screaming air entered Mute's ears.

Mute instantly shot his head back up before his eyes widened, the purple ball had turned into a massive blast, and this blast was mere inches away from Mute's nose. Unbeknownst to Mute, Yuki had covered Yuki's blast with her cursed technique immediately making it far heavier, and with the increased mass came increased speed.

Mute's hair started to burn from the heat of the blast as it inched closer and closer to Mute who glared at the incoming blast with Yuki's cursed technique weighing down his body. Mute's lapse of judgment was simple, the reason he didn't transport away from the blast was because he wanted to use this blast to destroy Rika. However, the increase in speed completely caught Mute off guard, and even worse, the blast was so large that it blocked Mute's peripheral making it impossible to teleport his body.

Mute gritted his teeth trying to withstand Yuki's cursed technique until suddenly a thin layer of powerful energy covered Mute's body, this odd energy nullified Yuki's technique letting Mute dash back, Mute slid back staring up at the blast before, he glanced back teleporting to a faraway building.

The powerful blast slammed into the road creating a massive violet explosion, the impact shook the whole of Shibuya causing weakened buildings to collapse in on themselves, the powerful gusts of wind blew away the floating arrows causing them to fly out in all directions wildly.

Mute stared at the explosion in front of him leaning on a trembling brick wall with his arms crossed. A massive smoke cloud formed in the middle of the street before two silhouettes walked out of the smoke and halted in the middle of the destroyed road staring at Mute. Yuki glanced over at Yuta before murmuring just audible enough for him to hear.

" Hey, right before the blast almost hit him, an odd energy covered his body, the energy somehow nullified my technique, but it felt like domain energy. "

" Then he probably can use domain amplification, it's something Gojo theorized about but it looks like Mute somehow put it into fruition. "

" Really? Wish that stingy bastard would have told me about the theory. But how much-cursed energy do you have left? "

" Around half, his cursed technique drains a lot of cursed energy. We need to finish this quickly though, I'm sure some maniacal plan is running through his mind. But hey, can you do this for me... "

As Yuta and Yuki discussed their plans, Mute pushed off the white brick wall behind him walking into the middle of the destroyed road, glaring at Yuta and Yuki. Mute had around 60 percent of cursed energy left. However, Mute for the first time in a long time, Mute was worried, not about Yuki and Yuta but rather something else, this something had been limiting Mute usage of his arsenal of cursed tools.

Mute took a deep breath before he abruptly pulled his hand to his chest, this abrupt action caught Yuki's and Yuta's attention who glared at Mute confused until they glanced at each other and nodded. In a single swift motion, the two lunged towards Mute, their powerful footsteps sending pieces of the road flying into the air.

In a matter of seconds, the two of them appeared directly in front of Mute throwing punches, their lightning-fast punches overlapped before both were caught by Mute. The forces of the punches pushed Mute hands back before Mute dashed back, with Yuta and Yuki chasing after him.

Yuta and Yuki threw a relentless barrage of punches and kicks at Mute who ducked and sidestepped the array of attacks until a powerful kick from Yuki slammed into Mute's chest. Blood poured out Mute's mouth as the sound of cracking ribs echoed out before Mute's body launched back at insane speeds.

Mute flew through the air before he flipped and slammed his feet into the road coming to a grinding stop. Mute stared forward until he noticed an odd long shadow cast on the road, Mute glanced up before seeing Yuki's shikigami flying through the air. He stared at the shikigami confused until he crossed his fingers and touched both of his wrists together. Mute was about to chant something until in a flash a figure flew towards him.

Mute instantly snapped his head down but it was too late, sharp pain rippled through his arms as both of his hands were cleanly sliced off. Blood spewed out of Mute's wrist as he glanced behind him seeing Yuta crouched holding onto his katana. Mute grimaced in pain before another powerful kick slammed into Mute's chest sending him hurling through the air once more.

Mute flew through the air confused about how Yuta regained his katana, the answer could be answered by Yuki's shikigami, prior to Yuta and Yuki's barrage of attacks on Mute. Yuta asked Yuki to retrieve his katana, using her shikigami. The katana was dangling between the shikigami wings. Right before Mute noticed the shikigami, Yuta had teleported his katana in his hand before delivering a swift slash cutting Mute's hands cleanly off.

Mute's body slid on its side across the road scraping his skin violently off, while his skin scraped off Mute watched as Yuki and Yuta lunged toward him quickly approaching. Mute started to rapidly heal his right hand until he could cross his fingers. As soon as he crossed his fingers, he locked eyes with Yuki and chanted.

" As Quick as Hare, As Sturdy As A Tortoise. "

Yuki listened to this chant confused until a barrier only around eight feet tall and three feet wide instantly engulfed her body trapping her. Yuta glanced over at the trapped Yuki concerned until a loud boom entered Yuta's ears and a massive pillar shot out of the ground. Yuta watched the pillar rapidly approaching him until he slammed his right foot on the ground expanding the asphalt road upward creating a wall, the pillar cut through the air until it aggressively slammed into the wall producing a thunderous bang.

Thousands of pebbles spewed out from the two massive structures colliding, the pebbles rattled on the ground while Yuta and Mute appeared directly in front of each other throwing attacks.

As Yuta and Mute exchanged attacks just above them, Rika could be seen scaling up a car parking lot, grabbing onto ledges before she pushed off the ledge, leaping into the air, she descended through the air approaching the fight. Her eyes locked onto Yuta making sure he never could get injured, she focused all of her senses on Yuta as she quickly fell through the sky.

Until suddenly a piercing voice shouted out gaining Rika's attention.

" Rika!... "

Rika looked toward the voice seeing Yuki staring up at her inside a fading barrier, Yuki's shikigami was tightly wrapped around her body, Rika stared at her confused until Yuki shouted out once more.

" Behind you! "

Rika's single eye widened as she instantly looked behind her seeing thousands of arrows rapidly approaching her, before Rika could react these arrows pierced into her body making her shriek out in agony, this loud pitch scream instantly made Yuta snap his head back before his heart sank seeing the thousands of arrows pierced into Rika's flesh. The arrows started to glow a bright red, as the cursed energy inside the arrows started to reach unprecedented levels.

Yuta smacked his lips before he started to warp the air around Rika's body trying to teleport her body away from the arrows until abruptly a hand shot over Yuta's eyes obscuring his vision. Yuta reached up trying to pry off the hand until his legs were swept out from under him making him collapse onto the ground laying on Mute who was still covering his eyes.

Yuta could only listen as a shrieking scream was roared out followed by an ear-deafening explosion that shook the ground, as soon as the explosion was heard. The hand covering Yuta's eyes let go before Mute teleported his body away. Mute could be seen leaning on a nearby wooden bench breathing heavily.

Since, the beginning of the battle between Yuta and Mute. Mute's main goal has always been to eliminate Rika, to Mute he always perceived Rika to be the weakest of the three. These arrows were meant to suddenly blow up earlier catching Rika in an explosion and destroying her, however, due to Yuta's sudden blast blowing away the arrows. Mute was forced to regather the arrows and circle them around the several buildings in Shibuya, this act drained a formidable amount of Mute's cursed energy.

Mute now only has 40 percent of his cursed energy remaining, and a single thought still laid remnant in the back of Mute's head. Mute was worried if Kenjaku could truly seal Gojo like he said he could, Mute remembered that he relied on Geto in the past and that mistake almost costed Mute his life. So, as a precaution, he didn't use his best-cursed tool. Of course, this cursed tool was Toji's heavenly spear.

Mute stared at the smoke cloud floating in the sky before a single powerful gust blew the cloud away revealing nothing. Yuta stared at the empty sky devasted, he knew that Rika was completely destroyed. Rika would reform, after a day or two. However, the main problem is now that Yuta was in for a much tougher battle.

Yuta looked over at Mute clearly agitated by Rika's defeat. Until a sudden distant shout could be heard throughout Shibuya as the barrier created by Kenjaku vanished.

" Gojo Satoru Has Been Sealed! Gojo Satoru Has Been Sealed! "

Yuta and Yuki's hearts sunk hearing this, before Mute grabbed onto his still broken ribs and let out a loud laugh while speaking in a cheerful voice.

" HAHA, that bastard actually pulled it off. "

As soon as Mute said this Yuta glared at him with a icy gaze and yelled out.

" Who sealed Gojo-sensei? "

" I don't know it was some monk, I ran into a long time ago. "

Responded Mute shrugging his shoulders, Yuki just scoffed while looking at Mute before she spoke while crossing her arms.

" You could at least tell us who it was, besides if Gojo really did get sealed, I think this world might be truly done for. "

" Even if I told you, you wouldn't believe me. But how about wrapping this up. "

Mute said, before pointing his thumb, middle, and index fingers into the sky. As soon as Mute did this odd hand sign, a massive amount of cursed energy started pouring off his body. Yuki's hair blew wildly from this sudden pressure before Yuta scoffed and raised his hand forward as Yuki did the same.

All three of them locked eyes before in unison they chanted.

" Domain Expansion. "

" Domain Expansion <3.. "< p>

" Domain Expansion... "
