25 Chapter 25. Reintroduction

Hiro awoke three days later in the inn in Dwarvenguard surrounded by Angelica,Nasir ,and Prometheus.

"How long was I out?"

Prometheus stood up.

"Three days. I tried to heal you but I have never seen the kind of magic that made your body. I think it's an ancient magic known only to the primodials. Unlike the body I improved everything from your blood to your bones and hair are all made of something my healing magic can't affect even with my full powers. "

"I feel great though."

"Your body healed itself completely in the first day so we were confused why you didn't wake up then."

"It must have something to do with what kaen told me. It told me it would make me a body and soul that could change destiny. I guess that was my first time taking alot of damage from anything. My other body could handle it the punishment. But this one is new and not use to it yet."

"Now that you're properly awake it's time I give you a true introduction of who I am. I am the titan know as Prometheus but I prefer you just calling me Theo."

"I've been meaning to ask what exactly is a titan?"

"The titans were a species that are the ancestors of the gods. We were the first to let magic flow throughout our bodies. The gods were born with a closer connection to magic and mana making them far more powerful than the titans. Since I created humanity they are like the descendants of titans. They are empty enough to let magic flow throughout their bodies but have no connection with mana that's why they seem so weak compared to demihumans."

"Couldn't you have fixed that and made the humans strong enough to protect ourselves?"

"I tried but I couldn't figure out why the humans I made couldn't connect to outside mana until it was too late. It'd have to go to every individual human like I did to you to improve them it would have been easier when there were less humans but because i had been chained for so long humanity's population had exploded and my efforts would be lost. Only half humans had the potential to have incredible magical potential and also a connection to mana like Angelica."

"Me? I couldn't even help Hiro in Griamore."

"That's because you were fighting like an elf. You need to connect to the deeper mana pool inside your human half to maximise your potential. You might even be a match for a demigod if you did that. Anyways boy I have a favour to ask of you. "

"What is it?"

"Well my friend Mioteeg was wondering if you could light a forge with your pure fire that they could Smith in seeing that you can control your flames attributes. Since we took away their only source of primodial flame I told them I'd ask you."

"Sure I've been wanting to test out my ability to manipulate this fire I have since I saw the life in the mountains."

Hiro and Theo head to the great forge and are greeted with bowing dwarfs and Mioteeg standing next to an unlit forge.

"Theo you look alittle different. Have you been laying of the ale you look 30 years younger. "

"I finally have my real body again and I'll drink you under the table anyday you ol lecher. "

"Your appearance may have changed but your the same old Theo. So that's the boy that conquered the flame of the heavens. I thought you were mad when you said you had a plan but you've brought me something incredibly fascinating. If you please create a fire that's incredibly pure that will only heat minerals but wouldn't kill a single dwarf ."

"Let's try it."

Hiro walks up to the coals of the unlit forge and focuses on making his flame only heat minerals but delicate enough to safely forge in.

"Kaen:Gentle flame."

The forge explodes into raging inferno but felt safe to approach.

"If you trust me Mioteeg stick your hand into the flame."

"If I lose my smithing hand I'll use yours to wipe my arse."

Without hesitation Mioteeg plunges his hand deep into the fire. The metal in his glove began turn red hot but this hand was unfazed. He touches the metal and notices that the metal is barely warm but red hot to smithing temperature.

"Incredible, Simply incredible it heats the metal without even feeling heat on my hands. I never thought I'd ever witness such a remarkable thing. Come back in a few hours I'll have a gift for you. I want to see what I can make with dwarven magic and this holy flame."

Mioteeg pulls up his sleeves and put on his goggles. He grabs for a pair of brown gloves next to the forge.

"I will craft a weapon for you so great the gods will burn with jealousy. Do you still have that scale from the primodial flame you recieved in the forge?"

"yeah."

Hiro pulls out the scale and Mioteeg rummage around a pile of stones. He put the scale near different stones until one shines brightly.

"What is that?"

"This boy is godstone. It's a material that can take on the attributes of mana. It's said to glow when a god is near and is the only kind of metal used by hephaestus to Smith weapons."

"Sounds pretty convenient to me to have such a powerful material."

"The thing about godstone is it can't be forged in a normal fire that's why it's pretty much worthless. The gods are the only ones who can use it so it's normally tossed out but since we have a divine usable fire I can use this scale and this stone to make an unbelievably strong metal. Leave me too my work this will be my masterpiece. "

"This was your plan all along wasn't it you old codger?"

"Old friend a Smith's dream since they were wee little hammerholders is to find the rarest materials and forge the greatest weapons the world has ever seen. This was a dream I thought would never come true until now. I will not waste such a rare opportunity. I feel as it I give my greatest work to this boy something remarkable will occur."

"Very well old friend I'll leave you to your work."

Mioteeg puts on a coat and goggles. He picks up a pair of smithing tongs and a hammer and plunges the godstone into the flames. The rock glows white and he pulls it out and starts hammering it with an enchanted hammer. Theo and Hiro leave the forge and head back to the inn to meet up with Nasir and Angelica. Theo looks over to Hiro as they walk.

"You've saved me so that makes me your advisor correct?"

"Yeah I almost forgot about that in all of this madness."

Alittle angry but most shocked Theo hits Hiro in the head.

"Owww why did you do that?"

"How did I get stuck with suck a thoughtless fool as my master?"

Theo laughs then looks at the night sky.

"The sky has never looked so beautiful as it does tonight. Right now might be the only time we get to enjoy such a peaceful night."

"What do you mean?"

"As your advisor it's my job to assess situations and give you my honest unfettered opinion. You've been on a rampage and after revenge for so long you didn't think about the consequences of your actions. You've destroyed the Yakioni,one of the most powerful giant clans, other clans will go to war to attain the top position of the giants. As well as defeating the High blooded elves. The balance of power for most demihumans have just shifted and to that end I surmise an all out war between the different species of demihumans once news of Griamore reaches every demi in Alctora. Not to mention a mysterious entity that's been going around defeating demihumans. I'm sure the Vencartus will take the credit because you have fire magic. The structure of modern demihuman society will be in chaos because of you. How do you plan on dealing with the disarray?"

Hiro looks up and put his hands behind his head.

"I don't. I'm not going to do anything why should I care if a bunch of demihumans fight amongst themselves. It has nothing to do with me. The Yakioni and High Blood elves dug their own graves it's not my fault that they didn't realise the consequences of their actions."

"I understand your perspective boy but I must ask you something. The conflict between the Yakioni and the High Bloods accidentally destroyed your village by fighting. Imagine an all out war between the Demihumans. There will be more villages like your own destroyed from the conflict and even more suffering will occur. You told me you wanted to change this world but such conflict won't just work it's way out. And I think you know that. "

"I guess your right. If I sit here and do nothing and let the war break out I'm no better than the Elves or any other demi for that matter. I'll just have to go to every kingdom to avoid war by force if I have to.If I can't do that I'll just have to conquer them all and stop any conflict before it starts."

"You're powerful boy I can't deny that but I don't think you can take out a well coordinated army by yourself. Let alone every army,militia,bandit group,mercenary, or rag tag band of misfits that gets in your way. We're in Drenchfald one of the 10 major countries in Karsabal. Alctora is made up of 4 lands. Karsabal to the east,Marchinad to the west,Grechwich to the north and Sarsafall to the South. How do you plan on conquer every country and every land not to mention creatures far stronger than any demihuman could ever possibly be. Alctora is fills with more species and races than I can name."

Hiro looks mentally burned out and confused.

"I'm sure I'll figure something out. It's too much to think about right now. I don't know anything about ruling or leading anything like that so thinking about all of it now just seems kind of pointless ya know. I have some family left so I want to talk to them before I make any decisions."

"Someone has changed a bit."

"Cram it old man ,I just think if I did all that stuff and they'd be in danger because of me I couldn't fight with a clear head."

Theo flicks Hiro in the forehead.

"That's for calling me an old man. Whatever you choose I'll be by your side even if it means protecting your family while you play warlord."

The arrive at the Inn and Nasir and Angelica look worried. Nasir has his arms crossed and a stern look on his face. Angelica is pouty and angry and starts to yell at Hiro.

"HOW DARE YOU GO OFF ON A DANGEROUS ADVENTURE AND JUST LEAVE A NOTE YOU IDIOT!!!!!! Then you went off with Theo again. We're family ya know if you're going to do something so reckless you should have brought us along."

Nasir speaks up as well.

"I know you don't know us very well but your aunt and parents would never forgive me for letting you continue to do things all alone."

Hiro feels embarrassed and surprised by the concern they showed for him. It made him feel happy.

"Why are you two bringing this up now?"

" Earlier we were more worried about if you were okay now that we know you clearly are we can yell at you for being such an idiot."

They all start laughing then head to a tavern for food. They had a fun night but Hiro knew that it wouldn't last forever. He decided to hold off talking about his plans until the morning and just enjoy the night with his friend and family.
