17 Chapter 17. Unexpected Allies

The ice arrow was whirling through the air gaining more speed as it traveled.

"I won't let you...

A being appears before Aesir punching him and uses plant magic pulling the two elves away throwing them for away from Hiro. Hiro's bindings were undone and he was freed seeing the back of a man.

.....Hurt my nephew!"

Nasir was standing before Hiro protecting him.

"Gympie vines!"

Vines pierce the three elves several times impaling them like pin cushions.

"You look just like your mother ya know."

"How did you know my...."

"Didn't they tell you?"

....sigh...

"I thought this would be the case. Those villagers were so stubborn I suppose your mum and dad didn't tell you had an elf for an uncle. I'm sure it's difficult to believe but they thought it'd be for the best if you and your family didn't associate with demihumans."

At that moment upon seeing his back he recalled a memory of him being carried by his dad and walking next to a smiling Nasir.

"I believe you. So she really is my cousin huh?"

"I know she can be a bit hot-tempered and stubborn but yeah she's your cousin. And your family? Did they....?"

Hiro falls silent.

"I see. And I assume those responsible are right in front of us. I understand why you're doing this then. Rampage all you like little Hiro. I've got your back."

Those words sparked something inside of Hiro's heart and his flames changed into a dense thick inferno. His flames looked like they were screaming out and took the shape of a demon.

"Uncle go protect Angelica. I've got this now. I'm sorry you had to put your life at risk because of my arrogance it won't happen again. Thank you"

"That's what family is for."

Nasir goes back to Angelica and puts up a strong barrier.

"I must admit I'm impressed by your strength but you could barely handle the lower 3 of the top six warriors in the Silver Blade by yourself. You've done irreparable damage to the Silver Blade but now you'll die."

"Yeah but I'm different now."

"Oh?? Did your magic instantly get strong?"

"No, nothing like that. Someone told me if I was to do this I would need to strengthen my resolve and he was right. I was fighting to die since the moment I arrived, but that's all changed now."

Hiro puts his hand out to the side and creates a medium-sized fireball. He condenses the ball smaller. He holds his hand toward the remaining elves.

"You're in the way."

Hiro shoots out a condensed version of his flame shot burning a hole through the remaining Silver Blade members. It continues forward and blasts a hole in the castle's wall.

"That was more powerful than I expected."

Shocked and confused by the attack that had just blasted a hole in the castle Prince Sasuna staggers backward.

"Why hide an attack that powerful?"

"Oh, I wasn't hiding anything. I just came up with it after facing that elf with water. He compressed his magic to make it faster and more precise. So I thought I could do the same thing with a whole lot of fire."

"That's madness!!! Fine since my guard and silver blade are in utter shambles then I'll just fight you myself. There is no way utter trash like you can defeat...."

"Hold that thought."

Hiro ignores the prince and starts destroying the members of the guard he knocked out earlier.

"I almost forgot to do that. Thanks, prince soba"

"It's prince Sasu..."

"Hold that thought"

Hiro walks away and finds a nice shady spot where the fire hasn't reached and lays down and pretends to fall asleep.

"You little ingrate!!! Don't ignore me I am the Royal Elven Prince Sasuna Egalhearth! I won't be ignored!!!!"

"Pipe down I'm trying to take a nap. You're not worth my time Prince Stupida. You're a prince of a burning kingdom not much of a threat by yourself. You're so pathetic I bet your a weak rich boy who sends others to do his dirty work. You probably just have a big ego to compensate for your ....um...small ....magic"

Angered Prince Sasuna's magic explodes.

"Feel the full force of my magic!!!!!"

Massive roots explode from the ground. Vines and branches start to rush towards Hiro.

"Pathetic."

The vines and roots and branches are all severed in an instant. Hiro appears in front of the Prince and smacks him as hard as he can.

"How dare you!!!!!???!!!"

Hiro smacks him with the back of his hand and keeps smacking him. He beats him so badly Sasuna can't retaliate with magic.

"This is the problem with you elves."

Smack!

"You think you're so powerful because of your magic"

Smack!

"Always so high and mighty. Thinking you're better than those you conquer. But in the end..."

Smack!

"You're weak."

Prince Sasuna is being brutally beaten senseless without Hiro using magic.

"What do you know huh? You're powerful. You've taken out the elvenguard, the silver blade, and my kingdom's strongest fighters. You don't know what it's like to be a demihuman. You don't know what the elves have been through! The strongest creatures look down on us and know that even if we're the strongest demihumans one creature with more magic could wipe us all out. We've had to struggle and fight for what we have! What do you know?"

"Do you think that's unique to the elves? Look at the pain you've caused. The fear you have of a powerful creature coming and destroying everything you care about is the same fear everyone below the strong feel! You're bid for power has made other demihumans suffer and the humans. Trying to be the strongest, conquering without a second thought and look what that has gotten you."

Sasuna tries to grab Hiro with the more vines and roots cocooning Hiro. Hiro bursts through in a second.

"Give it up you can't beat me."

Sasuna stumbles back. The fear is written all over his face. He sees the darkest malice of aura around Hiro. Sasuna is crawling on the ground backward.

"STAY AWAY FROM ME YOU MONSTER!"

He grabs a rock and throws it at Hiro. Hiro catches it and breaks it into rubble.

"Someone...Help Me...Please!"

"Where is your pride? You're pathetic."

An explosion comes from the castle. An object comes hurtling toward Hiro and the prince knocking Hiro back.

"What is this? Water?"

Standing before Hiro was an older elf. His presence was different than the other elves Hiro had faced up to that point. This figure was imposing and the pressure in the air changed. Hiro could feel the overwhelming amount of magic coming from the older elf and It had shaken his composure. The older elf put his hand toward the sky creating a torrent of water and wind. He put out all of the fire in Griamore that had engulfed the city in seconds. Hiro could sense the difference of this man. The magic around him was powerful but calm and felt as if he was loved by magic. Shaken a bit by the overwhelming display of magic Hiro was finally able to speak up.

"Who are you?"

"I am King Sora Egalhearth. The leader of the High Bloodied Elves. I don't understand what is going on here but I will not let you threaten my kingdom or kill my son!"

The ground began to shake as the magic grew more intense around the king.

"I can sense your malice you must be the one who did this?"

"And what if I am?"

The king appears in front of Hiro faster than he can react and punches Hiro in the stomach sending him flying through several trees.

"Damn! I haven't been hit that hard since training with Theo. His guy is the real deal."

Hiro doubles over in pain not realizing how damaging that punch he took was. Hiro begins coughing up blood.

"Is this blood? How hard did he hit me?"

The king began to walk toward Hiro. His magic grows more intense bending and contorting the trees away from him.

"I, King of the High Bloodied elves will reign down judgment. For the crime of slaughtering my people, I sentence you to die!"

The magic grows even more intense and focused. The king focuses the magic in his hands creating an intense ball of energy. The magic's intensity began to make Hiro's body shake uncontrollably. He grabs is arms in an attempt to stop the shaking to no avail. He could feel the murderous intent behind the king's powerful royal magic.

Is my body shaking from his magic alone?...

" If die by the king for slaughtering a clan of murderers so be it."

King Sora stops and the magic's intensity decreased.

"What do you mean? You're nothing more than a savage creature that delights in the destruction of others. I can feel the hate emanating off of you."

"I'm only here to destroy what had killed so many innocent people and creatures. If I'm a savage you're the king of beasts. Your clan has indiscriminately slaughtered everyone lower for centuries. If you think that clan of murders is innocent don't make me laugh."

The king disappears from Hiro's sight and appears in front of Prince Sasuna. He touches his forehead to the prince's.

"Transfer!"

Sora disappears and reappears in front of the barrier made by Nasir and Angelica. Nasir drops his barrier.

"Angelica drop your barrier."

"But father...."

"Trust me it'll be alright."

Sora touches both of their heads and searches through their memories.

Sora appears in front of Hiro who was still stuck from the punch. He touches Hiro's head and Hiro could feel the king searching through his mind looking for something.

"Interesting."

The king steps back and the overwhelming magic begins again. The focuses his magic into his palms.

"Reaper's.....Law!!!"

A huge flash of white light envelops the battlefield.
