6 2780-Space station (424011) Tari-Talking madmen

Zatland wanted to ask his father immediately about the details of his murder, but before he could, his Grandpas started bombarding him with information about how they formulated the plans for passing on knowledge and memory through consciousness, even after death.

They told him about how long ago this experiment was passed down through their family, till their eventual success. How they divide the work into three major fields of study correlating to biology, chemistry, and engineering. And how they were each motivated by the previous generation to take jobs in the scientific fields, not knowing of the secrets of the Athenaeum.

The Athenaeum became completed in grandpa's Khalib generation. And from then on it was passed down to brilliant, worthy successors.

Each successor furthering upon each other's fields of scientific knowledge.

It had been Roughly 346 years. And the Athenaeum had already passed on to its 6th successor. You could tell by the number of years, that not any of the previous predecessors had lead full lives.

Not to mention, that in this generation, it was passed on to a person not specialized in any field of scientific knowledge.

there was a conspiracy under the surface.

P.O.V Zatland

They told me how the very first man to hypotheses the concept was a historian from our family, who stumbled on an ancient drawing on a wall. They talked about the history of the family, and how their knowledge was originally transferred to each other through hidden data files.

It was hard to Advance during those times as multiple members of the family were not as capable as their predecessors or children.

They talked about some members of the family missing out on the Athenaeum inheritance in their same generations, even when having the same amount of intelligence as their brothers or sisters.

Like my grandpas Lucks generation in which his younger sister was cheated, even though she was in some areas more capable.

They talked like dweebs, debating sci-fi novels.

They were all madmen, bragging with slight grins on their faces to show they were greatly exaggerating. I didn't know what to believe or whether to be horrified or impressed by their.... whatever this was.

If it was true, what could be the goal in making the Athenaeum be? Did they want to live forever? Or did they want to form some kind of mind legion with their grandson?

A legion of the mind; I'm pretty sure the last person that happened too, destroyed a universe or something. If it was that bad in a comic book, I didn't want to do it in real life, fuck up and get re-imagined by the universe.

….

Did these old fools want to take over the human species or something?

They gave off strong mad scientist vibes. Every single one of them, and not just grandpa Conner who stood by silently with his eye's radiating.

But…. It wasn't quite like that they said, according to them, it was more like they were trying not to be forgotten, to become a part of the future generation, that they wouldn't have been able to influence otherwise.

In this life where they couldn't go back to the planet earth, and humans were becoming more and more separate from one another as a species, they wanted to carve a path for humanity and have their family heritage go through time without disappearing.

[Grandpa Aval: Living in space, nothing is indeed yours, and all is imperceptible slipping away from under your feet, you reach and reach, to find stable ground, and with one move all that effort is erased. In millions of years, earthlings would be ants spread out to the universe, a weak species to still being used as labor, the dumbest of the bunch of existences. We without stable land to set our feet on; would be a race alone and desolate, a species never destined to come into its own control, to harbor life, and allow one of the most significant things ever to happen.... happen, have that life give birth to increasingly advanced life. We are a miracle greater than most other beings, able to advanced faster than our peers, yet we are still letting ourselves be played.]

[Zatland: ...well that what he said….]

Narrator

To put more into context, several hundreds of years ago the earthling species lost it right to the planet Earth.

An alien species called the Rasihrike invaded and took a vast majority of earthlings as slaves. Rebels escaped into space to fight and became a colony, while the slaves remained on earth, to become a colony as well, a free slave labor colony, loyal to the Rasihriki...

after that, there formed all sorts of alliances between other alien species and the Earthling advancing space colonies to remain safe; but the Humans were still desperately being torn apart at their unity, and this time by their allies.

The reason being, because earthlings are inferior and in the grand scheme of things not ready for an interspace galactic economical model.

It was like small countries on earth, it was said that they were free and self-reliant, as long as they did business with bigger countries, but when the going got rough, a bigger country could still at any second, tank their entire economy and withdraw aid. Leaving them vulnerable and free for the wolves to find.

humans took many different sides and allied with many different species to remedy the situation.

but in fact, they were a race that was dumbly being used to assassinate their own people. Humans have virtually no heritage on which to teach their children, and so they become easily influenced by the vast opportunities for pleasure in space. And the advanced technological knowledge of other species in the galaxy.

They became mercenaries for other species seeking greater technology; the job was to form a system to ravaged space for parts, in whatever way possible. For protection and their advancement, humans formed their mercenary units to steal alien technologies from weaker species they could do battle with. And this mercenary unit was titled the military.

The human race was on the vaster scale less talented than most of the self-intelligent species in the vast cosmos.

And on the vaster scale weaker than other races that shared the same or inferior intelligence.

and that was because the earthlings had nothing to learn from within the confines of their species.

Biotechnical engineering, evolutionary studies, Adaptative procedures, while the human race was limiting themselves because of a flimsy concept called ethics long ago. Other species had not thought down the same route, carrying out brutal experimentation on their species to become stronger.

now all the knowledge the average human would attain was knowledge gathered from aliens in the outside world, humans were being educated by aliens, so naturally, they were open to being influenced, lowering the self-esteem of the race, and their individuality.

It was people like scholars and scientist, who were the only ones truly capable of taking alien knowledge and comprehending them enough to make it their own. Like Zatlands relatives.

If things persisted like this, it would take a long time to reach completion, but the human race would divide into a highly segregated system of elites and minor figures, a decay in intelligence could happen if all the elites of the human population were suddenly killed, and it was a possibility which could be stimulated through alien weaponry.

All the human race had a chance if not precautious enough, to be enslaved by other alien cultures.

the Earthlings would be sold as a commodity to use as free labor and stimulate economic growth in other planets, because of their ability to quickly populate.

Earthlings had the chance of becoming Slaves that would never even understand that they were slaves in the first place.

Already a slight majority of the earthling people believed themselves to be safe and sound, even at the mercy of allied forces, they believed they were on a path to recovery from losing their original planet.

But the aliens were scheming for their people as well. They believed they were Gods compared to humans, and why would gods, make deals with ants?

But then again on the scale of one too one versus a human, quite a few of them were gods. There was no arguing that fact.
