Zatland shook out of his stunned state, as his blood dripped on the floor, he kicked off his heel and begun to pursue the man outside the store.

Zion hung behind a little to make sure nobody was hurt, then ran after them.

P.O.V Zion

In school we were thought to prioritize civilian lives over our own, to always weigh our value against normal people values, and prioritize civilians safety, and when there was no danger to our own, even if we get heavily injured... when in a civilian field, be prepared to get hurt.

I guess I absorbed my training as I arrived first in between the hostages, and the masked man.

But Zoo was shot.

Ta Ta Ta Ta

The blood from his arm flew by and almost hit my eye.

Zoo immediately launched outside the door to chase the man, as I had to follow protocol and scan the area.

I wasn't patient and was in a hurry to get out of there, so I just looked around for a moment, then ran out. I was worried about Zoo, and the fact that he was bleeding.

Damn that guy was trained!

You could tell by the way he was moved, he had begun adaptive training.

What was going on? was this an awol personal of the military? Why would they appear here of all places?

What was going on...the man was acting hysterical just a moment ago.

I moved my body outside the doorway of the store, and almost barreled into a couple of people. It was so crowded that I couldn't, find anymore, where Zoo and that guy had run off too. I scanned over the top of the heads of multiple people, until I found an area of two peoples heads, rapidly leaving my field of vision. they looked fast enough.

I had to take my chances. I immediately started ramming my way through the crowd of people.

I didn't pay attention to even their own safety as I ran to catch up.

The fact that the man was militarily trained, was proof of the fact that this had become a true life and death chase. If the man got lucky and caught zoo off guard, he could kill Zoo in hand to hand combat.
