Skid!

*~Cloths Rustle*

Zatland took a hard left corner towards the cell phone installment areas; it would be better if he stole a phone that was newly bought than try to interfere with a phone that was already assigned to a new owner. A random grab and snatch would involve a lot of hacking, and that wasn't in his best interest at the moment, or his best school subject.

If he needed to circumvent the circumstances he was currently placed in Zatland would have to steal a cell phone that was recently purchased within the last thirty minutes, hopefully, one with some extra capabilities on the side, plus a watch, of course, to receive the signal from the base. And speed up his cellphone processors.

Stealing from somebody would often involve a lot of hacking to get through the phones defensive systems, if he could find a new phone, all he would have to do was to do a little re-wiring,

Zatland preferred the latter rather than the former. He looked behind him, but it seemed like he could not find Isaac whereabouts at the moment, for now, Isaac had more experience and was going to be an especially wily predator, it would be surprising if the person in Question weren't now tracking Zatland's every movement down right this second. It wouldn't be impossible if he weren't hacking into the local government cameras systems just to keep track of his personages Zatland and Zion.

Did Isaac even have to hack the system in the first place, being an actual military soldier?

Zatland wondered. He needed to start avoiding the cameras systems as much as possible, who knew how much control Isaac was giving over the area just to carry out this assessment.

Zatland felt he could not probably be hunted down by the authority's surveillance system themselves.

Bam!

Zatland ran into a random person, sending the man flying backwardly.

Crash! The man fell between the legs of some befuddled pedestrians.

"Sorry!" Zatland shouted without turning around; he had to be careful about running into ordinary pedestrians on the street, as he could end up really hurting them.

While on a busy street at noon he couldn't run faster than the crowd could allow him, even as he dodged through in between them, Zatland was afraid of taking a shortcut because it may lead to Isaac discovering him. In an alleyway surveillance systems were cameras were often more concentrated.

Isaac couldn't outrun Zatland in a crowd of people, especially when Zatland was ahead of him. zatland had unwittingly used those advantages to keep up with Issac earlier.

Zatlands Mind worked faster, so dodging was an especially easy task for him unless he grew anxious.

Zatland turned around another corner ignoring street sign's that said, construction on the road; he came to a blocked offed road with a fence and several construction machines on the left of it, Zatland jumped and rushed over to a slope of plastic concrete to get a lunging position below a bunch of fences.

Chink! Chink!

Rattle

Thud!

Up and over he scaled the fence immediately dropping into the market on the underbelly of the section, scaring the bystanders on the streets when he landed.

....

While Zatland was dropping down, Zion on the underhand was climbing up the side of an apartment complex, a steady crowd gathering below him as he believed would happen before starting this climb, a couple of people had gathered vertically from him on the side of the sidewalk below, looking up at him and somewhat gawking in fear and excitement.

Zion didn't bother looking down at them, as he got on top of a ledge to the building and pulled himself up, out of sight of the street below. He typed a few words into his phone and began using a magnifying camera to scope the area, something Zatland Couldn't do because he was without a watch.

The watch pretty much acted like A mini CPU and Wi-Fi connector to a computer, when it was paired up with a cellphone.

Some advantageous functions weren't as efficient without the watch as a CPU, and if Zatland attempted to magnify with his phone camera now, it would at most act with an old school phone camera's efficiency, and constantly go blurry.

of course, his phone was broken too.

Zion Scanned the Area, without detecting the sight of Zatland from his vantage point, he looked higher on the building and began to scale again. He kept close to the wall as to not appear in the civilians viewfinders, some of them had just begun taking out cameras.

they all soon found out that it was really hard to capture him in their crosshairs, this spider fatty.

So many failed, and blurry pictures came out, and Zion was fast enough to escape all the camera pictures, leaving nothing behind but a blur. In order to catch up to him, you needed a professional camera and not one that could be installed in a civilian telephone without an astronomical amount of funds.

Spider Fatty was on a rampage, scaling the building like a whirling shadow in the wind.

Swish!

He disappeared from a nearby surveillance Camera.

From a few miles away Isaac looked up from his cell phone a little bit surprised, Zion was actually quite good at hacking unlike Zatland and had begun taking priority to hack into the surveillance systems nearby. Isaac tried to delay him, but Zion had somehow detected him. He veered away from his original destination and disappeared from the cameras.

both of them were avoiding camera systems now.

Looks like he had unwittingly given a clue to Zion, but it still didn't matter too much. The kid still couldn't find his friend on time.

...

In school, Zion had begun learning of hacking because of a need to retrieve images of himself from some school bullies. Hacking was his best subject, and he was vastly superior to most of the kids in his school because of it. If he hadn't made his decisions to learn based on a dumb reason like recapturing photographs, all the people in his old school would have labeled him a genius because of it.

Zion had worked four times as hard has the Average student to acquire his hacking skills, and became so good at them, that it was surprising. Because of his horror of looking silly even though most of the time he could be a real bonehead, when it came to hacking security systems, he could be different, he entered a brand new state of mind, like a completely different person, and he could detect the hacking Programs of people even three levels above him in his hacking skills.

Isaac was an Iron lake soldier, and an all-around better hacker than Zion indefinitely, so usually, there was no way Zion would have been able to discover him, but Zion specialized in an early detection and alternative routing based hacking system. His style of hacking was a very defensive kind that could detect a lot of things early.

it was like a tiny dot that bounced around in an enclosed square room, with enough power it could eventually detect anything, at a surprisingly fast rate.

Zion smiled as he gazed down at his phone, then suddenly as he looked away from his phone his face changed back to his more normal state.

"Holy Christ! somebody's watching us, is this a test?" Zion said, "…that mean I really have to find a way to Zoo, Now or never."

Meanwhile, Zatland was wondering where he could find a store more specialized in cell phones Registration. Cellphone technology was more highly guarded secret now that there was a chance for alien infiltration.

Not an average person would be able to pull off a heist at a store designated for Cellphones. Buying would be hard for Zatland, and would at least take a good thirty minutes or so to finish signing the paperwork, so he would then have no choice but to steal a newly bought manufactured one.

Plus there was a registration to the space station that he would have to do if he wanted the connection to the internet of this area, he didn't have time for all that, so he would have to steal one with a transferring sim card. Then re-wire the DNA recognizer in the card.

The entire process to him seemed like it would be so arduous, if everything went right it would take him just over two hours, but could he stay hidden from Isaac for that long?

Maybe it would be easier, to just run out into the streets and shout out Zion name all over the place at the top of his lungs.

If he didn't know any better, that it would be easier for Isaac to get a hold of him first, that would be his first instinct to try, but for now, that would have to be none more than a last-minute gamble, that he may have to use.
