4 New Home 2

"Zaid, I have got fantastic news for you. We found a good home for you temporarily." Kelly quickly spoke with excitement as she continued.

"We know this couple for a long time. They helped children like you Zaid and are just wonderful. I am sure you will like them" reassured Kelly.

"Okay." Zaid replied. Not really caring for further details. As long as they are not abusive anyone is good enough to live with was his baseline.

"We need to leave today to meet your future foster parents. They're excited to meet you. I am sure." Kelly said as she reached behind her revealing a primark's bag.

"I also bought you few clothes. New clothes for a new you, yeah?" Kelly grinned as she gave Zaid basic t shirts, trousers, socks and trainers.

Zaid didn't know what to say. He couldn't remember the last time anyone gave him gifts. Despite the fact that he knew someone like Kelly was a genuine social worker who would do her best for vulnerable children. It was nothing personal. It still pulled a bit of his heart strings.

Kelly unaware of Zaid's thoughts about her actions asked him to change. She went outside to wait for him.

Zaid stood up as he looked at his new dark themed clothes. He shook his head and changed as quickly as he could.

He was getting sick staring at the white ceiling, white wall and watching sick patients walk past his room constantly.

Zaid opened the door and walked through the hallway spotting his small social worker talking excitedly with the russian nurse who was looking after Zaid.

As Zaid got closer, both of the women's attention was directed towards him. Kelly gestured him to come closer while the russian nurse who Zaid for some reason cannot remember her very difficult name waved at him.

Once Zaid closed in, Kelly was saying her goodbyes to the nurse walking to the front exist.

"Come on Zaid, we need to hurry" Kelly spoke as she walked faster.

Zaid went after her, pausing to wave back at the russian nurse as a farewell. Who knows when he will see her again.

They went to the parking area and found Kelly's red car. You can tell it was an old car, the colour was fading and the model seemed ancient.

Kelly didn't seem to be fazed by Zaid's curiosity.

"It was my dad's then he passed to me. I only need to change the engine. Other than that it works perfectly. Old Rick would not retire anytime soon. I hope I pass it to my children as a sentimental gift. "

Kelly talked about Old Rick (car) as she went inside the car. Zaid followed and sat behind her.

Kelly didnt mention that as she continued talking about the car's model and how expensive her dad got it at the start. Zaid stopped listening after that.

He wondered if all social workers were like Kelly. Endlessly talkative. That would be interesting.

After 10 minutes of history about her family generation old cars, Kelly started talking about the immediate family of the foster parents he was going to visit.

"Amy and Jack Murphy have two children who have grown up. One is a boy named Charles, he is in his first year of university. You won't meet him until the holidays. He is such a nice boy. The other is a girl called Rebecca, she is 16 years old. She is in year 11. Doing her GCSE'S. She is very quiet, lovely girl. I am sure you will like her." Kelly endlessly chatted about the Murphy's to prepare Zaid.

Zaid was amazed by Kelly's performance, she really could hold her own conversation without any interference.

"We arrived Zaid." Kelly said as she turned to the corner revealing semi detached houses.
