38 CH 38: Written exam

The day of the first exam had come, and Ali was walking with Zane to their classrooms as always while chatting.

Ali turned to Zane and asked with a grin :"so you ready for the exams, Z?" Which Zane answered with a nod :"a good duelist is always ready. What about you? Did you have time to study between dueling all day and teaching Alexis?"

With his hands in his pockets, Ali let out a snort with the grin still on his face :"do you even need to ask? Of course I am.

Besides, since Alexis comes to my room basically everyday now, she also proposed that we study together for the exam.

And since she is one of the smartest people I know, I didn't have a reason to refuse. That's how, I'm ready to kick some ass!"

Zane chuckled before looking at him with interest :"by the way, how is Alexis's deck coming along? Has there been any improvements?"

Ali rolled his eyes as he slapped Zane's arm :"seriously, do you even need to ask? What did you expect from me?

Of course there has been improvement! In fact, her deck as gotten so strong that she will give even you a hard time. Heck, the chances of her beating you are 50%."

Zane was slightly surprised as he raised an eyebrow at him :"are you serious? She has gotten so strong that she can defeat me and my Cyber Dragon deck?"

Ali nodded with a small smile tugging on his lips :"yup, she has. She was really enthusiastic about getting stronger, so I didn't hold back in helping her.

Just like me, she has been dueling left and right to raise her Duel Points so that she can buy the cards that I've told her to get."

There was a look of realization on Zane's face as he nodded :"yeah, I've heard that she has been dueling a lot these few days. She hasn't lost a single time either."

Ali nodded with a small snort :"of course. I completely rebuilt her deck, you know? Her deck has gotten a lot stronger."

Zane nodded before he looked to see they've already reached Ali's classroom :"seems like we got too focused on our conversation. Alright, I will see you later, Ali. Good luck on your written and field exam."

Ali nodded back before he smiled :"by the way, I was bored in my room yesterday, so I downloaded a few movies and cartoons. You wanna watch Shrek tonight?"

Zane narrowed his eyes at him before he spoke in a serious whisper voice :"hell yeah, definitely will make time to watch Shrek."

Ali chuckled as he nodded :"alright, then we will watch it tonight in my room. Bye and good luck on your exams too."

They waved goodbye before parting ways. As Ali stepped into the classroom after the door automatically opened, he saw Alexis along with her friends already there.

He smiled as they waved at him before he walked to his seat :"hey, Alexis, Jasmine, Mindy. Good morning."

Mindy waved lazily with a smile :"hey, handsome~. Good morning to you as well. Did you sleep well?"

Ali nodded with a chuckle as Jasmine also smiled :"hey, Al! Morning to you too. Happy to see you're not late."

Alexis also smiled at the handsome boy next to her :"hey, Ali. Good morning. Are you ready for the exams?"

Ali locked his hands behind his head with a grin as he leaned back on his chair :"with how much you forced me to study, I would be disappointed in myself if I wasn't."

Alexis chuckled before Jasmine's head whipped towards Ali's direction :"well, you should be thankful!

If not because of Alexis studying with you, we could get her help as well. But no, she'd rather spend her time with you in your room."

Ali shrugged with a smug smirk when he felt the glares that were shot at him :"what can I do about it?

It's not my fault that I'm so handsome and good to look at. And besides, of course she would want to spend time with me since I'm teaching her all kinds of strategies."

The playfully angry look left Jasmine's face as she nodded :"yeah, Alexis did tell us that you've been teaching her and have accepted her as a student."

However, a teasing smile found its way to her face :"but aren't you to young to be accepting students, Ali?"

Ali snorted as he raised an eyebrow :"I wouldn't accept anyone else, but since Alexis is my student now, doesn't that mean that I have a legitimate reason to spend time with her?"

Alexis rolled her eyes with a smile on her pursed lips as Mindy giggled :"oh~, that's a pretty smart move. And being her teacher can be pretty "exciting" in "alone" times."

Ali's smirk grew as he let out a dark chuckle before winking :"oh, believe me, I know~. And in due time, I'm gonna take full advantage of it."

Alexis's lips twitched at his shamelessness while Jasmine laughed :"oh, kinky~. As shameless and straightforward as always, huh?"

Ali chuckled as he shrugged :"you asked me a question, and I gave my answer. And besides, you know that I'm not one to hide my preferences."

This time, Alexis snorted with a small smirk :"oh you don't hide your preferences at all, alright. I know that already with how much we've talked."

The time passed with them chattering around while some boys were burning with jealousy. When the class began, professor Lyman walked in with the test papers in his hands :"alright, everyone.

Please be quite and ready yourself and your items for the exam. You have one hour to write, and no cheating of course."

While professor Lyman spread the test papers among the students, Ali smirked mischievously :'sorry, professor Lyman.

But I'mma do just that if needed. By the way, why is Jaden not here?... Oh, right! Today must be when he will meet Dorothy and will duel against Chazzy. Well, good luck to my bro.'

Professor Lyman finally reached Ali's seat with a smile :"here you go, Ali. Please take yours as well, girls. I have high hopes for you all."

They all thanked before they took their own test papers and got to it. But when Ali looked at the questions, he was honestly confused.

There were questions like "what can deactivate a spell card or a monster effect?" And "what kind of spell can be used in your opponent's turn?"

All of the questions were like this, and that's why Ali was confused. But he just shrugged before writing his name and started to speedrun through his questions.

Alexis was also a little confused. These were things that Ali first taught her, saying that these were the basics of dueling.

So since Ali had taught her all of these already, she didn't have a single problem in writing all of them.

Not even fifteen minutes had passed and they were already about to finish it. Just as Ali was writing the last few questions, he noticed Jaden walking to his seat.

After waking up Syrus and getting yelled at by Chazz for being to loud, professor Lyman called him to get his test paper.

Ali had finished his test, so he looked at Alexis to see her putting her pen down as well :"you done too, Alexis?"

Alexis stretch her hands, resulting in her big breasts jiggling and bouncing with Ali's eyes glued to them :"yeah, it was a lot easier than I expected. Let's go and give it to professor Lyman."

Ali nodded before they both got up and walked towards professor Lyman's desk. When they reached him, Jaden turned around with his own test paper in his hand.

He smiled at Ali and Alexis :"hey, you two! Did you just get here too? I can swear I just saw you two writing."

Ali chuckled with a shrug :"we were. And we're here because we finished our exams. Here you go, professor Lyman."

Not just Jaden and professor Lyman, but the entire classroom was shocked at his words. Professor Lyman unconsciously grabbed the test papers that they handed out as he stuttered :"y-you're finished already? Are you sure?"

Alexis nodded from beside Ali :"yes, professor. We have also checked all our answers, so there aren't any problems."

Ali also put a word in :"what she said, prof. Since we have already finished it, can we go outside and chill?"

Professor Lyman smiled and nodded :"well, I guess it's expected when it comes to you two. Alright, you're free to go. And please don't forget to attend your field exam."

Ali nodded nonchalantly as he grabbed Alexis's delicate hand and walked away :"got it, prof. Bye now."

As the walked out and walked hand in hand, Ali looked at with a smile and a raised eyebrow :"so? Whatcha wanna do?"

The sexy blond smiled as she tightened her hold on Ali's hand :"well, Dorothy told me that the new cards will arrive today, so how about we wait in the store and get some snacks while waiting?"

The jet black haired boy nodded with a smile as they walked to the store :"to the store it is then. We might even get cards for ourselves."

When they walked in, Dorothy and Sadie noticed them. But when Dorothy saw them holding hands, she smiled teasingly :"oh my~. Aren't you two lovey dovey?"

Ali chuckled as Alexis shrugged :"we're not lovers yet. But at this point, I just think that we're waiting to see who will confess first."

Ali raised his hand at his busty bombshell of a friend with a smirk :"oh? Then is that my green light, Alexis?"

Alexis smirked as she shrugged :"who knows? I guess you just need to find out, isn't that right, Ali?"

Dorothy's laughter interrupted their already finished conversation :"hahaha, come on, you two. You shouldn't flirt around in public. Are you here for the rare cards?"

They both nodded before Ali answered :"yup. And I guess they haven't arrived yet, so we will just seat around and wait for them cards."

After sometime, sounds of hurried footsteps came when they finished their snacks. When they looked to see what was going on, they students rushing into the store and knocking on the closed door.

Dorothy had closed the door, saying that there would be too much chaos otherwise. So they didn't argue.

A few moments later, they saw guards running into the store with batons in their hands before they lined up against the walls.

And then a voice came :"oh, children. Looking for these <nuts!>?!" With a man who walked towards the store.

The students cheered and clapped as he showed them a case with a Duel Academy's logo on it.

The man opened the door and walked in after looking back :"come and get it." And then the door opened up after a little while.

But the box that the man had brought in was open and completely empty! "Hey! Where'd they all go?!" A student asked Sadie who was beside the case.

And Sadie answered as she pointed at the cloaked man on the other side of the case :"you know the rules, first come first serve."

All of the students were shocked as the cloaked man said smugly :"and I was first, so I took all of them!"

After the man and the students went away, Ali and Alexis who were waiting in their seats walked towards Dorothy behind the desk.

Alexis looked at her with confusion as she asked :"Dorothy, what was THAT? The cards just came and went in a jiffy."

Dorothy shrugged before smiling :"I don't know either. He just showed up and bought all of them.

But don't worry, you two. I actually picked up a few cards that I thought would be really useful to you two. Here, Ali, I bet you're gonna love these cards!"

Ali took the three cards that she pulled out and looked to see they were all the same card. But what was surprising, was that they were Serpent Night Dragon support cards!

Trap cards at that, counter traps to be exact! Serpent Soul Strike, the design was Serpent Night Dragon looking down on the whole field. And it's effects were broken like the other Serpent Night Dragon cards...
