CH 29: Ali VS Alexis P1

Ali winked at her as well with a smile :"thanks, Mindy. Happy to hear that my sense of fashion is good."

Alexis beside Jasmine sighed as she helplessly shook her head :"girls, please focus. Anyway, Mindy is right-"

But just before she could continue her sentence, Ali's smile grew :"about me looking pretty good?"

Causing Jasmine and Mindy to chuckle while Alexis face palmed :"sigh, I guess I can't deny that. But that's besides the point.

Anyway, what I'm telling is, Mindy is right about you two trespassing. That's why, so if you don't want us to turn you in, you're gonna have to win your freedom by beating me in a duel right now."

Ali tilted his head with closed eyes and pursed lips, acting playful :"aww, but don't you think that's too cruel, Alexis?

I didn't take you for such a mean and scary person who would want to bully others. Didn't I promise that I would deul you already?"

Mindy cooed at his cuteness while Alexis snorted after folding her arms under her impressive assets, making them jiggle a little :"yes, you have promised, but I want to duel Jaden at the moment. But well, either of you will do. I just want to duel and see what you are made of."

Ali's lips twitched as he stopped Jaden from agreeing before he shrugged :"alright, I agree. I will duel you then.

I have already made my deck a lot stronger than it was this morning, so I can at least duel decently now."

Jasmine chuckled as she smiled teasingly :"what's this? Is the big bad Ali jealous?" Causing Mindy to giggle as well.

While Alexis looked at them with confusion as so did Jaden, Ali snorted with a smirk :"why would I be jealous.

Doesn't she want a duel. Then that's what I will give her. A duel, the Ali Ashborne style duel at that."

Even though Alexis, and neither of the boys got what the two girls said, she smirked :"alright, that's what I wanted to duel. Then let's get started!"

Since it would cause a lot of sounds and probably have the girls storming out, they agreed to ride the boats to a little away and then duel.

And after parking <?> The boats some meters away, they got ready as they stood while the others sat.

Syrus sighed with a nervous look while he and Jaden sat :"I hope you know what you're doing, Ali."

Causing Ali to smirk :"relax, sigh. I've got this in the bag. Even though this will most likely be a tough duel, I will still win."

Alexis, with the fire of determination in her eyes, looked at him solemnly as she said :"ready?" And Ali answered with a smirk :"hell to the yeah."

Alexis/Ali :"duel!"

"Since you're the one who challenged me, in a sense, I hope you don't mind me going first." Ali said with a crooked grin on his handsome face.

Alexis nodded with a serious face as she got ready :"alright, go ahead. And I hope I don't need to mention that you have to give it your all."

Ali's smirk didn't leave his face as he put his hand on his deck :"yup, you don't need to. I draw. Hmm..."

Ali hummed with a thoughtful face before he made a move :"I summon, Kidmodo Dragon in defense mode!

But it won't stay long, because I will use the spell card, Tribute Doll, which will allow me to special summon a level 7 monster from my hand! And I choose my ace monster, Serpent Night Dragon!"

As Ali's ace monster appeared, it gave a beautiful roar that was a mix of a dragon's and an eagles.

Seeing that he had managed to summon his ace monster on the first turn, all of them were surprised.

After all, the sole reason for why Serpent Night Dragon is famous for being a trash monster is because of being hard to summon for needing two tributes.

And now, Ali summoned it on his first turn as if it's nothing. Isn't that enough reason that Rex Raptor is a damn trash?

Mindy put her hand over her mouth as she gasped :"oh my, he actually summoned it in the first turn of the duel!"

Jasmine beside her also nodded with an amazed look :"yeah! He really does know how to duel, huh?"

Ali winked at them with a chuckle :"thanks for the compliment, but I'm not done yet! You see, even though Kidmodo Dragon isn't that impressive at first glance, it's a hell of a beast!

The reason for that? Its effect! Once Kidmodo Dragon is sent to the graveyard, I can special summon one dragon from my hand! And can you take a guess on what I will summon, Alexis?"

Alexis gave a low snort with a serious and focused face :"knowing you, it will probably be your ace monster again."

Ali snapped his fingers with a toothy grin :"ding ding ding! We have a winner! And for your reward, you get to face another Serpent Night Dragon!"

And once again, the Serpent Night Dragon rose with a beautiful roar as it flew next to the first Serpent Night Dragon.

The combo wasn't the only thing that was amazing, the timing was also topnotch. Why? Because of the two cards' effects.

You see, even though both Kidmodo Dragon and Tribute Doll have awesome effects, they also have quite a big weakness.

The fact that once they are used, Ali can't attack that turn. And in a duel, the sooner you end the duel, the better it is.

Why? Because sometimes, a duelist only needs a single card to turn the table. So using both of them in the first turn, when you can't attack, was the best option. Anyway, back to the story.

Even though the duel hadn't started not even a minute ago, Alexis had already grown more and more serious with each passing second.

Ever since she had seen Ali's first duel, the one against Dr Crawler, she was interested in his dueling skills.

But not that much since the thought of just his cards being good flashed in her mind. After all, with good cards, even a novice can beat a veteran duelist.

And it was the same when she saw him duel Chazz. But the thoughts became less and less as she watch his duel against Chazz.

However, those thoughts completely disappeared once he said that he was planning on making a new deck from scratch.

You know, making a new deck is a damn big deal in this world. It's like studying a completely new degree!

After all, unlike the world where Ali was from, the people here wouldn't just share their strategies.

Strategies were a way of living for a lot of people. Would someone who reached a high place tell how he did it?

So once she heard him say that he is going to start from scratch, she knew that he was a true duelist who knew how to duel.

But even though she finally believed in Ali's skill, she didn't expect him to be able to do this! Summoning two monsters, each needing two tributes in one turn?!

Most people would just consider it a joke if they heard it. After all, being able to pull this kind of move was too rare for just anybody to see.

So once she saw the two Serpent Night Dragons staring her down, she knew that she has to give it her absolute best if she doesn't want to lose.

The two boys behind Ali were just as shocked as the girls were. Jaden smiled as she cheered :"whoa, Ali! You rock, man! You actually managed two of your Serpent Night Dragons in a single turn!"

Syrus beside him also nodded with an amazed look :"yeah, that was seriously impressive. Sigh, Ali is just too good, huh?"

Jaden smiled helplessly as he patted the back of his friend who didn't seem to have any confidence at all.

Ali rolled his eyes as he heard the weakness in Syrus's voice. After all, the one thing that really grossed him out and pissed him off was someone not trusting themselves.

Honestly, he didn't even see losing as that much of a big deal. After all, in his previous life, he didn't have a flawless win rate.

But seeing someone lacking so much confidence in himself really got on his nerves! Like, seriously, so what if you lost?!

It's just a lose, it's not a shadow duel where you will lose your soul! So just deal with it and get even better!

Sigh, anyway, forget about the small guy. Ali's smirk returned as he set a card face down :"I set a card face down and then I end my turn. Your move."

With a serious and solemn face, Alexis nodded :"alright, I draw! I have to admit, Ali, I knew that you were a good duelist since I saw your duel this morning.

But I didn't expect you to be this skilled. The combo that you pulled is truly fascinating. But well, I hope you won't hold it against me for destroying it!

I think you're quite familiar with this card. I activate the spell card, Polymerization, which allows me to summon a fusion monster from my extra deck by fusing two monsters!

Cyber Blader: Warrior/ Fusion/ Effect/ Earth/ Lv 6 <in anime. That's how she used Fusion Weapon on it. It's actually Lv 7>/ 2,100 ATK/ 800 DEf.

Fusion Material: "Etoile Cyber" + "Blade Skater"

Effect(s): A Fusion Summon of this card can only be done with the above Fusion Materials. This card gains the following effect, based on the number of monsters your opponent controls.

●1: Cannot be destroyed by battle.

●2: This card's ATK is doubled.

Seeing the good figure of the duel monster with long flowing hair, Ali whistled with an impressed face and a small frown.

Syrus behind him blinked in confusion as he asked :"but, doesn't she only have 2,100 ATK points? It will still lose to Ali's Serpent Night Dragons."

Alexis had already grown accustomed to how people tended to underestimate her ace monster at first, but she had also began to enjoy proving them wrong from the first time she summoned her.

And she was planning to do the same when she heard Syrus said that with a smug smirk. But Ali did it before she could with a slightly nervous smile :"yeah, that would be the case, normally.

But unfortunately, Alexis's Cyber Blader is not a normal monster. It's effects, are really bad ass. So we might be in a bit of a trouble up in her, boys."
