1 CH 1: The start of a Majesty's friendship

CH 1

(Third person POV)

As the sun shone upon the world and illuminated the day, the rays of sunshine landed on the handsome face of a teenager who was laying down on a bench.

The young lad had an extremely handsome face, with hair as black as ink and the darkness of the night and shadows.

Feeling the bright light on his handsome face, the teenager brought his hand to his face with a frown as he guarded his face against the cruel light.

He squeezed his already shut eyes before they fluttered open as he took in a deep break and then slowly got up.

The boy interlocked his fingers before raising them to the top of his head and stretching his arms, cracking his fingers in the process.

As the boy slowly got his consciousness together, he looked around with confusion :'what... The hell...? Where am I? Why was I sleeping in the middle of nowhere?'

As the boy blinked rapidly with confusion and rubbed his eyes, he suddenly noticed his hair that could easily reach his waist and even pass it :'why the hell is my hair so long? I don't remember it being this long.'

As he ran his fingers through his extremely soft and smooth hair without any difficulty, his confusion grew before he looked to his side and saw an object.

As he reached out and picked it up, he raised his perfect sword eyebrow in curiosity :'isn't this... A duel disk? What the heck is going on...'

But the moment he put it down to get up and stretch his body, a sharp pain appeared in his head as if needles were injected into his brain.

He grunted in pain as he gritted his teeth and held onto his head for dear life as he squeezed it as memories came flooding into his brain.

After a few seconds, when the pain went away, he slowly started to chuckle before laughing:"hehehe... Hahaha... HAHAHAHA... Sigh, so it actually happened."

'I have actually died and then met that very, very generous R.O.B who went on and granted my ridiculous wishes.

And now, I'm here while my other soul pieces are in different multiverses. Guess I should enjoy this multiverse from now on since I'm here.'

As he kept rubbing his his head to get rid of the left over headache, he saw a boy with dark brown and light brown hair running :'huh? That hair, isn't that... Jaden Yuki? Wait a second... If I am seeing him now... Then fuck me because I'm late!!'

As the boy known as Jaden and the original protagonist of the Yu-Gi-Oh GX ran and passed him, the boy got up and put his duel disk in his bag that was beside it as he ran after him.

After reaching him, he looked at him with a smile as he gave an upward nod :"hey, what's up? You don't happen to be running for the exam too, right?"

Jaden smiled back as he laughed :"if you're talking about the duel monster academy's exam that I'm really late for, then yeah! Are you also going there?"

The boy nodded back with a small, crooked grin as they both kept on running :"yeah, I'm going there to take my exam as well. What's your name?"

Jaden smiled excitedly as he introduced himself :"I'm Jaden Yuki! What's your name?" The black haired boy smiled with an eye closed :"Ashborne. The name is Ali Ashborne. It's nice to meet ya."

The smile didn't leave Jaden's face as he held up a fist for him to bump :"nice to meet ya too, Ali! But I think we should really hurry up cause we're seriously late!"

Ali laughed out loud as they sprinted ahead :"you've got that right, Jaden! We're damn late, hope they will let us in. By the way, wanna be friends?"

Jaden smiled excitedly as he nodded like a chicken pecking the ground :"hell yeah! I will never turn down a friendship! Specially since it will be with someone who will be in the same academy as me!"

As they kept on running, Ali raised his eyebrow with a smirk :"oh? You seem to be really confident in getting into the academy?"

Jaden looked up at the sky with a confident smile without stopping :"of course! I am sure that I can get into the academy, what about you?"

Ali snorted with a smirk as he lowered his head slightly and looked at him through his long eyelashes :"couldn't be more confident even if I tried, my friend.

But I have to say, I'm getting good vibes from ya. I feel like you will probably succeed and pass the exam, so you have my blessing."

Jaden laughed with a smile as they both kept on running :"well, thanks for that! You have my blessings too, my friend!

Now we should reach the exam, because I can't be the next king of the games, if I'm late to the games!"

Ali laughed out loud :"oh? So you want to be the kind of the games? Guess we aren't just friends then, we are rivals too! Well, happy to have you, friend!"

"Well, ladies that's it." A man in suit and with glasses on in front of the door of the place where the exam was going to take place in said as he looked at his watch :"mark all the no shows no shows."

But just when the two girls got ready to do as they were told, Jaden's voice was heard by them :"wait! I'm no no show!

You can count Jaden Yuki as present, thank you! Well, just so long as I don't lose my grip haha."

But Ali also climbed up as he grabbed on to the railing like him with some leaves in his hair :"hey, what about me?! Ali Ashborne is here as well, ladies! Thanks for the support, J!"

Jaden laughed at the sarcastic remark as they claimed the railing :"you're welcome, Al! What's a friend for otherwise?"

After going inside the building, Jaden leaned on the railing beside a blue haired short guy with glasses :"wow, look at him go!"

As Ali stood beside him, they both looked down at the field as one of the duelists stood against a teacher.

The teacher, with two monsters on his field said :"alright, new guy, multiple choice you've got two monsters staring you down. Do you A, throw in the towel? B beg for mercy? Or C run home to Mama?"

But the serious expression on the duelist's face didn't waver as he shot back :"I'll go with D, none of the above."

And the trap that was set on his field raised, surprising the teacher :"a trap?!" And he replied :"exactly. You see with ring of destruction, I can destroy any monster on the field that's in attack mode, and then we both take damage equal to that monster's attack points!"

As the ring landed on the monster on his side of the field with 1'900 attack points, the monster was destroyed.

The duelist had a life point of 3'200, so he wasn't in that much of a danger. But the same couldn't be said about the teacher that only had 1'900 life points, which he lost because of the move.

But the teacher just congratulated him :"clever move, applicant. Welcome to the academy."

And the duelist wasn't rude either as he bowed a little politely :"thank you, oh wise proctor."

Back with Ali and Jaden, Jaden folded his arms in front his chest with an impressed look :"wow, that last guy really gave it to him."

Ali nodded in reply as he whistled :"yeah, that was one hell of a move. Pretty sick and impressive to pull off."

The short guy with blue hair also nodded :"yeah, Bastion Misawa. They say he and one other person got the highest scores on the written exams of all us applicants."

Jaden raised his eyebrows with an impressed look :"wow, I just barely passed." Before the blue haired boy nodded :"yeah, me too.

My name is Syrus by the way. Nice to meet ya. I kind of have a thing where I get test anxiety. I don't know how I won my match."

But Jaden was as cheerful as he was before as he patted his back :"so you're in! Congratulations! We'll be in too as soon as we win our duels."

Ali beside him put up a side victory sign as he gave an upward nod :"yup, what my friend here just said, Sy."

But Syrus looked at them with confusion :"wait, you too haven't dueled yet?" And the two shook their head :"no."

Syrus :"then you might have a problem. I think this was supposed to be the last one."

Ali took in a sharp breath as he looked at Jaden with tight lips and an awkward face :"well, guess we can only hope for the best then."

Jaden sighed as he rubbed his head :"yeah, guess that's all we can do. By the way, who is the other person that got the highest score, Sy?"

Syrus smiled as he answered :"they say his name is Ali Ashborne. I've heard that he's a really handsome guy that came here from the middle east."

Jaden blocked a few times before turning to Ali and pointing at him dramatically :"what?! Ali, is he talking about you, bro?!"

Ali smiled as he held up a piece sign with a wink :"yup, the one and only. Nice to meet ya again, both of ya."

They both wowed before Jaden elbowed his side :"wow, Ali. Didn't know you were a nerd. You should really help me once we get into the academy."

Ali snorted with a smile as he rolled his eyes :"oh please, I need someone to help me with my homework.

The only reason for my high score is because of studying a little and the other is because of my experience in dueling.

I like dueling a lot, so I have played a lot of games against quite a number of people, that's why my knowledge in dueling all comes from actual experience. It's kind of unorthodox, I guess."

Syrus blinked with an impressed look as he wowed again :"wow, Ali. Sigh, I wish I had your confidence, but I always get anxious when a lot of people watch my duel."

But Ali gave him a thumbs up with an encouraging wink :"hey, I bet that it will definitely get better if you try your best.

It's honestly nothing much. You just have to trust your instincts and do what your guts and heart tells you to do. The rest is fixed from then on as long as you watch your moves."

But the pessimistic shorter boy just sighed :"easy for you to say. You are confident and know what to do, but I always get anxious."

Ali sighed as he got behind him and patted his shoulders :"Sy, the only person who can fix your anxiety is yourself.

Others can help you, yeah, but the only person who can completely fix it is yourself and yourself only. So you should try it yourself. Oh, look at there, Bastion is here."

As Bastion came to his sit which was in front of them and sat down before taking off his duel disk, Jaden leaned on the railing :"tight duel, Bastion."

But he just said a simple :"thank you." Before turning away. "From the looks of it, you might just be the third best duelist here."

When Bastion and Syrus turned to him with surprised faces, an announcement came :"Jaden Yuki, please report to exam field four."

"Go time. Wish me luck guys!" He said before walking down the stairs with his duel disk, but not before Bastion asked :"hey, wait. If I'm the third best, then who's the first and second."

But Jaden pointed at himself confidently before pointing at Ali :"yours truly and his best friend. It's what I'm best at. And I know that Ali has everything to be the second best as well."
