4 Chapter 3 | First Duel
''Let's Duel!'' Said Illumi and the examiner at the same time.
Standing across from each other, both Illumi and the examiner drew 5 cards from their decks.
''Since I'll be testing you, I'll go first!'' Said the Examiner as he drew a card, smirking as he looked at it.
[Turn 1]
''Alright, to start off, I play Goblin Elite Attack Force in attack mode, I also set two cards and end my turn!'' The examiner said as a group of armour-wearing goblins stood uniform together resembling a knight order appeared on the field, 2 faces down cards also appeared in the spell and trap zone.
Goblin Elite Attack Force - Fiend/Earth/Effect: 2200/1500

''My turn, I'll draw.'' Said Illumi as he looked at the card he'd just drawn and furrowed his brows trying to come up with a strategy. Still being quite new to the deck he still needed to think for a little bit to come up with combinations for the cards in his hands.
''I'll summon my masked dragon in defence mode and set 3 cards, your move,'' Illumi said as he decisively came up with a strategy and played his cards.

''You're gonna have to do more than that to win against me! I draw!'' Said the examiner as he drew another card.
''I summon Mefist the Infernal General and attack your monster! Go Mefist!'' The examiner said as he played his card and used it to attack Illumi's face-down monster.
Mefist the Infernal General - Fiend/Dark/Effect: 1800/1700
As an over-the-top armored knight in silver and gold appeared on an armored bicorn appeared it rushed forward and attacked the face-down card. The card turning over revealed a red and white dragon wearing a mask on its face.
Masked Dragon - Dragon/Fire/Effect: 1400/1100
But shortly after that, the card shattered into pieces and disappeared as Mefist the Infernal General swung his axe.
''My Mefist's abilities activate, not only do you take the difference in damage but you also have to discard one card!'' The examiner exclaimed as the difference in damage was applied directly to Illumi's life points.

''Tch'' Clicking his tongue, Illumi sent Dragonmaid Tinkhec to the graveyard but smiled a smile soon appeared on his face as he looked towards the examiner.
''Not so fast! My Masked Dragon's ability activates, allowing me to special summon one monster whose attack is less than 1500 directly from my deck. Come on out Chambers Dragonmaid!'' Illumi said and after placing a monster card in defence mode, a beautiful white-haired maid appeared with black horns and a tail with a feather duster in hand.
Chamber Dragonmaid - Dragon/Dark/Effect: 500/1800
''That's not gonna save you as-'' The examiner tried to say but Illumi cut him off.
''Sorry, but I'm not done. My Chamber Dragonmaid's ability activates; when it's summoned to the field, I can add one Dragonmaid spell or trap and because of that I'll add Dragonmaid Changeover to my hand!'' Illumi said as he added a spell card from his deck to his hand.
''As I was saying. That's still not gonna save you! Goblin Elite Attack Force, charge!!'' The examiner said a little more forceful as he ordered his monster to attack.
''I activate my trap card, Negate Attack,'' Illumi said curtly as he activated a trap card.
''Tch, fine. I end my turn...'' The examiner muttered as he frustratedly ended his turn.

''Alright, now time to get things started! I draw!'' Illumi said as he drew a card and smiled.
''First I activate my Jar of Greed and draw 1 card,'' Illumi said as he activated one of his set cards.
Doing so, a man-sized, jewelled, red and gold jar with an ugly grinning face on it quickly appeared and disappeared as Illumi drew a card.
''Now I'll set a card and summon Hunter Dragon. That's not all though, from my hand, I activate Guardragon Prominecess and by sending it to the graveyard I can increase the attack of my Hunter Dragon!'' Illumi said as he played two cards and sent a monster to the graveyard.
Hunter Dragon - Dragon/Dark/Effect: 1700/100 -> 2200/100
Quickly a new dragon with a grey body, orange wings, and menacing claws appeared beside Chamber Dragonmaid on the field.
''Now I activate my Chamber Dragonmaid's other ability!'' Illumi said as he raised his hand to Chamber Dragonmaid.
''Another ability!?'' The examiner exclaimed shocked that the weak monster had 2 abilities.
''Yup, and this one is just as good as the last! With my Chamber Dragonmaid's ability to return her to my hand, I can special summon my Dragonmaid Tinkhec from my graveyard.'' Illumi exclaimed as Chamber Dragonmaid disappeared and was replaced by a new monster.
''Wait what!!?'' exclaimed the examiner in even more shock.
Dragonmaid Tinkhec - Dragon/Fire/Effect: 2700/1700
Appearing at the center of the field, a towering figure of a dragon appeared. The menacing yet graceful dragon had red scales with an underbelly and turquoise scales and horns dotted around its body.
Letting out a menacing roar it announced its arrival.
''Go Dragonmaid Tinkhec, burn those goblins with maid's fire!'' Illumi shouted and as if obeying his command Dragonmaid Tinhec opened its mouth and a surge of fire shouted out from it's mouth directly at the Goblin Elite Attack Force, engulfing it in the fire.
As the flames pushed past the Goblin Elite Attack force it reached the examiner. ''Ugh.'' the examiner grunted as he took the difference in attack as damage to his life points.

''Now Hunter Dragon, hunt down that edgy night on the wanna-be unicorn!'' Illumi shouted as he extended his arm towards Mefist the Infernal General.
Again a dragon opened its mouth releasing a breath of fire, this time Hunter Dragon with a smaller and more controlled blast piercing Mefist and reaching the examiner.
'''Ugh!'' Letting out another grunt the examiner crossed his arms as if taking actual damage as his life points decreased.

''huh...huh... Good move, but now it's my turn-'' The examiner tried to say as he breathed slightly roughly, but Illumi once again cut him off.
''Who said I'm done?'' Illumi said with a smirk on his face as the examiner's face turned into one of confusion.
''I activate my spell card Dragonmaid Changeover! It's basically a polymerization tailor-maid for my Dragonmaids.'' Illumis said with a cooky smirk as the examiner's confused face fell turning into a distraught one.
''I activate Solemn Judgment!'' The examiner hurriedly shouted but Illumi quickly countered.
''Not so fast, I activate Seven Tools of the Bandit! By paying 1000 life points I can negate your Solemn Judgment!'' Illumi said as his life points once again dropped activating the trap card.

''Now as I was saying I fuse my Chamber Dragonmaid and Dragonmaid Tinkhec to fusion summon Dragonmaid Sheou to the field!'' Illumi exclaimed as the fusion summoned one of his ace monsters.
Dragonmaid Sheou - Dragon/Light/Fusion/Effect: 3500/2000
As a new dragon covered by its wings appeared, it opened its wings and roared out, a majestic and deafening roar filling the room. As the monster was revealed the figure of a black and white dragon with a fiery white mane and red-tipped horns appeared.
With a gentle flap of its wings, the dragon hovered in the air, looking over to Illumi as if to greet him before eyeing its prey.
''3500 attack points!?!?'' The examiner exclaimed in a mix of shock and awe.
''Hmph at least you know how awesome my Dragonmaid's are.'' Illumi hmphed before ending his turn, the black and white dragon seeming to humph as well as if agreeing with its master.

''I-I draw...'' The examiner said as he shakily drew a card.
''Not so fast! I activate Dragonmaid Sheou's effect!'' Illumi interjected right after the examiner drew.
''I didn't even do anything yet...'' The examiner muttered with a pitiful tone and a wronged face.
''You breathed!'' Illumi countered and the examiner took a step back shocked at Illumi's shamelessness.
''Anyways, with my Dragonmaid Sheou's effect, I can special summon Dragonmaid Tinkhec from my graveyard!'' Illumi said as the red dragon reappeared on the field, Sheou growled as if to greet it.
Dragonmaid Tinkhec - Dragon/Fire/Effect: 2700/1700
''I-I play Giant Orc and attack your Hunter dragon.'' The examiner said with a slightly rushed tone as he summoned his monster.
An ugly and muscular orc holding a large bone appeared, although larger than the hunter dragon it looked puny in front of Dragonmaid Sheou.
With its lack luster appearance, it charged at Hunter Dragon and stuck it with his large bone. Hunter Dragon shatters as it makes contact with the bone and disappears.

''Now my Giant Orc's ability activates and it's changed to defense position! I set one card and ended my turn. Said the examiner with a slightly less panicked face.
[Turn 6]
''My turn again, I draw!'' Illumi said as he drew a new card and went silent as he saw it.
'...Sparks... why did I even add it to my deck...' Illumi thought as he looked at the useless card and shook his head dreading the fact he couldn't get any other good cards to fill up his deck.
''I first activate my Dragonmaid Sheou's effect once again, special summoning Chamber Dragonmaid back to the field,'' Illumi said as a familiar maid appeared on the field.
Chamber Dragonmaid - Dragon/Dark/Effect: 500/1800
''Now you've seen this once so you'll see it again, I activate Chamber Dragonmaid's effect to add Dragonmaid Welcome to my hand!'' Illumi says as the examiner is hit with a sudden sense of déjà vu. Illumi then looks down towards his hand and his expression changes as he lets out a sigh, greatly confusing the examiner.
''huuu... I activate sparks...'' Illumi sighed as he played the card in his hand and a pea-sized fireball get's shot toward the examiner.

''...'' After doing so an awkward silence fills the air as the examiner looked incredulously at Illumi.
''...Did you just use Sparks?'' The examiner asked with a confused yet questioning view, not understanding my move.
''Why do you even have that in your deck?'' The examiner questioned but after a while, Illumi broke eye contact and looked away.
''I activate Dragonmaid Welcome. with this, all my Dragonmaid's get a little boost.'' Illumi said as he changed the topic by continuing his move.

Dragonmaid Sheou - Dragon/Light/Fusion/Effect: 3800/2300
Chamber Dragonmaid - Dragon/Dark/Effect: 800/2100
Smiling Illumi looked at his monsters and raised his hand towards his Chamber Dragonmaid.
''Chamber let's get you to start us off, attack his Giant Orc!'' Illumi said and anti-climactically Chamber Dragon cutely threw her little feather duster at the Giant Orc and after getting hit with the duster, the orc fell backwards and shattered into pieces.
''Now Sheou, let's end this,'' Illumi said turning towards Sheou, who gracefully nodded and charged up a white flame in her mouth.
Rocking her head back, Sheou released a stream of white fire that burst from her mouth and went straight towards the examiner.
''AGHHH!!!'' With a scream, the examiner fell to his knees and dipped his head in defeat as his life points dropped to 0.

Suddenly a small ding sounded in my duel disk, but I ignored it.
