1 1. The Murdering

Raindrops were falling without respite on the narrow road that goes down along the hill as three cars were moving on it at high speeds.

Inside a black Bentley, two-five years old brothers were hiding in a corner of the backseats as a middle-aged man was driving the car, trying his best to escape the two cars that were chasing after them.

Amid the chase that was displaying on the Valley Road, the middle-aged man named Song Wei took a quick glance at his two young masters in the backseat to check on their conditions.

He couldn't help but gasp in shock at the sight.

In the backseat of the car, the older boy was tightly hugging his younger brother, entirely covering his twin's body with his in a desperate attempt to protect him from the threat.

Sound of bullets piercing the car could be heard coming from everywhere inside it.

The younger twin was uncontrollably shaking from head to toe and his face was distorted by fear while his brother's one was calm and collected as though their lives weren't hanging by a thread.

Truth to be told, not only Song Wei but even he was amazed by his older twin calmness. In fact, he didn't expect his brother to be so composed in such a deadly situation!

Deep down inside him, he badly wished he could be as fearless and composed as his brother.

Alas, the little boy wasn't aware that this brother of his who was pretending to be all calm was actually also overwhelmed by mixed feelings.

In fact, he was only feigning calmness for his brother to not worry much.

When the older twin saw his brother gazing at him, he only assumed that the latter was afraid by the dead-life situation they were facing and tried his best to coax him with his tender and childish voice full of love indulgence.

"Don't you worry little brother! I am here to protect you."

Hearing his brother's words, the little boy's heart melted and a sense of security instantly overwhelmed him. He thought He was so lucky to have such an extraordinary big brother!

He broke into a faint smile before tightly interlacing his fingers with his brother's.

Bizarrely, his fright instantly vanished upon hearing those words from his brother's mouth.

Regaining his spirits, the younger boy turned his head to take a look at Song Wei. Anxiety and apprehension were easily reading on the man's face as he held tightly on the steering wheel.

"Those people trying to kill us are sent by the Lu family, right Uncle Wei?"

Song Wei glanced at the little boy in the rearview mirror. His voice was icy cold and his face was cool and expressionless, only his furrowed brows and gritted teeth were attesting of his anger.

A shiver spread through the spine of middle-aged men. Why dœs this kid looks more like a heartless conqueror than a five-year-old boy?

"Second Young Master Xu, I--"

Song Wei didn't have time to finish his sentence that a bullet pierces through the car glass landing straight between his two browns.
