Chapter 7: Tomorrow

***

some...one...

please...

save...me...

"Don't die please!"

A light glowed from afar.

I saw a glowing hand emerged from it and it's like it's reaching out to me, I held it tightly.

I felt secured and warmed as I held it.

It pulled me towards the blinding light.

***

"Hey"

I heard a soft voice.

"Hey, wake up."

I opened my eyes and saw Christian on the side of the bed holding my shoulders.

"Are you okay?" the rays of sunlight passes through his face and I could see his eyes full of concern.

I sat back to the headrest and nodded. His expression softens and he went back to his usual cold self.

"You were screaming earlier. I was worried so I came here immediately," he stood up and put his right hand inside his pocket.

"I just...had a bad dream," I said.

He looks astonished.

"Do ghosts have dreams?" he said.

"I think so, because I just did." I said sarcastically.

"What did you dreamed about?" he asked.

I remembered the dream that I just had.

It's too real and I really felt those cold water embracing my skin...and that warm hand that I held...

"I was drowned in the room filled with water...then I heard someone's voice and a hand reached out to me then I heard your voice and I woke up."

"Wait." he raised his hand and bit his thumbnail. A deep furrow form in his eyebrows like he was pondering about what I just said.

"You said you were drowning in your dream right? Does it mean you just dreamed about how you died?" he speculated.

I raised my eyebrows as I thought about it.

"That could be it! It was too real to be just a dream," I excitedly said.

"It's a good progress that you've somehow remembered your life though it was how you died." he stood up and stride towards the door.

He paused.

"By the way you'll be staying with Jin for the meantime... I'm going out of town with some friends for the whole week... it'll be convenient for us that you'll just stay here." he opened the door.

"Wait!" I stood up.

"What?" He said exasperatedly.

"Can I come please?" I said ful of plea.

"No." He said nonchalantly.

"Hey! Wait!" I tried to stop him but he still left the room.

I thrown myself in to the bed because of irritation.

Arghhh I really want to come.

I don't know why but my gut says that I really need to come or else there'll be a havoc.

***

"So when are you going to leave?" I watched him eat his savory food.

The clicks of his spoon in the plate fills the hollowed dining room. The sunlight passes through the huge glass windows that lits the whole place and the fragrant from the nearby garden perfumes the whole dining room.

"Tomorrow," he said nonchalantly then swallowed a spoonful of soup.

"Please let me come too."

"I don't want to be rumored as a crazy man who talks to himself. Don't want that to happen again."

"Then just pretend you're not hearing anything. I don't need someone to talk to, I can to talk to myself." I said.

"That is more difficult for me to bear, just so you know. You don't know the torment of hearing a yapping woman who interrupts you in everything you do. I'm not saying that that was you but it might be." he annoyingly smirk at me.

""What did you say? You know I'm not like that," I answered back.

"Ohh. I know you ARE like that." His smirk starts to displease me completely.

"It's just because you ARE ignoring me for the whole time and EVEN attempted to leave ME here alone!" I said exasperatedly.

"That's why you're gonna stay with Jin so we won't bother each other," he continued his breakfast.

I won't win to this guy.

"My guts has been telling there's something worse will happen. So I gotta stay with you this time," I said.

"You're gonna be with Jin, so why bother?"

"I want to be with someone I trust," I answered.

He looked at me. "You trusts me? Why? You don't even know me fully."

"Well.. I don't know. I just had a feeling that you can be trusted."

"You trusts someone fast. Don't. That can do harm to you." he said.

He swallowed the last spoonful of soup.

"Still no." He stood up and washes the dishes.

I watched him while he does it.

"Hey."

"Yes?" I asked.

"My mom said trusting someone you don't know leaves your one  foot in the grave. He might kill you behind your back. But risking that one foot can start a friendship that might last long than you expected."

I touched my forehead as I felt dizzy for a second.

What was that?

Oh...

It might help.

"Someone said trusting someone you don't know leaves your one  foot in the grave. He might kill you behind your back. But risking that one foot can start a friendship that might last long than you expected." I said.

He stopped.

"Still no."

WTF!?

What the hell with this guy?

I don't have any other choice but do my last resort..

Christian's POV

"Hey Christian! Come on I don't wanna be left by the bus!" Vincent shouted from the . Beside him is John who scrabbling to his phone.

I gazed at Jin's house not far from here.

I hope she won't cause any trouble..

I stride towards Vincent.

"Why bus? Do they think we're in preschool? Why can't they just let us drive on our own?" I said exasperatedly.

"Guess who requested for it," Vincent said while looking at John.

"What?" John asked nonchalantly and looked at Vincent. "I just don't trust your driving skills dudes."

"You just can't drive JOONY," Vincent said mischievously.

"Don't call me in that nickname here V," John warned.

I walked toward the bus. I don't wanna waste my time listening to their futile argument. The whole class had already taken their seats.

"Let's go," I plead to the bus driver.

"H-hey!!"

The door closed and the driver maneuver the bus.

I looked at them trying to chase the bus but was not able to catch up so I waved goodbye.

***

An hour later

The bus had stop on a restaurant for us to take our lunch today.

I was about to sip my wine when someone hit my back. Some of the wine has spilled on the table and on my jeans.

And a familiar voice echoed through the place. Our other classmates gazed at our direction.

"WHY THE HELL DID YOU DO THAT TO US A$$H*LE!?"

"It wasn't my fault John. You two were busy arguing so we had to leave you behind and we won't be late on our schedule," I said nonchalantly while wiping the spilled wine on the table.

John gawked.

"Don't you know what we had been through? We took a taxi! And it's..it's..." Vincent stammered as he speak.

"It's what?"I asked.

"IT WAS FUUUNNNN!!!! I'VE NEVER BEEN IN A TAXI IN MY WHOLE LIFE!!"

"Seriously dude? You enjoy that? Isn't it disgusting?" John said.

"It is---but still it's amazing," Vincent smiled like he had been never been happy.

'Why am I friends with these people?' I grinned as I reminisced the first time we've met.

***

I was gathering some flowers for my mother when I heard a voice.

"Hey! Stop that! We're gonna fall!" A boy shouted as he struggles to escape from the other boy's toy handcuffs. They're both near the hanging bridge, below them is a river.

"Just tell me where you hid my grandma's necklace and I'll let you go! You know how much I cherish it!" the other boy said as he kept holding the boy's arms.

They walked towards the hanging bridge.

"AHHHHHHHH!!"

The boy in handcuffs suddenly slipped along with the other boy but he was able to hold something but the boy in handcuffs fell into the river.

I ran as fast as I could and plunge into the river.

'Where is he!?' I roamed my eyes around but couldn't find him so I dived in.

I squint my eyes as I see the boy slowly sinking into the deepwater. I hurriedly swam into his direction. I tightly gripped in to his arms then swam upwards.

"Go call for help!" I ordered. The other boy nodded then ran fast.

I tried to give him a CPR.

"Please breath!" I gave him air then pump his chest again.

"Please don't die!" I repeated it again.

He's finally breathing but still hasn't opening his eyes.

I sighed as a relief.

"I'm so exhausted,"I laid back to rest.

As I closed my eyes I heard a voice.

"You're good swimmer."
