Chapter 4: Answer

We walked towards the building.

The building is really huge and looks modernized. More like an exclusive building than a school building.

We went inside it. Many students--mostly girls gazed at Christian as he walked through the long corridor.

Maybe he's like the 'heartthrob' in this school.

But on my opinion, he just looks like a normal male student.

I think I  lost my capability to appreciate beauty. I giggled.

We stopped at the far end where the elavator is.

We both went inside the elevator and Christian pushed the button for the 4th floor.

We went outside and we stride through the long corridor and stopped in from of a double door.

I looked up to the hanging sign.

Class 3-A

He's in a pilot section and in his last year as a senior.

We entered the room and suddenly a guy jump and hung to his back like a koala.

"Why the frown face?" He asked mischievously.

"Get off me Vincent," Christian scowled at him.

Vincent jumped down and put his arm over Christian's shoulders.

"What happened to you? Ya still bothering about yesterday?" Vincent asked.

"No. I'm not just in the mood today," He replied nonchalantly.

He sat on the seat in the right corner of the room near the window.

I scanned the classroom. It's quite huge and looks elegant. Its walls is painted with white and golden yellow on its corners . It has a high ceiling and its floor is covered with checkered blue and white tiles.

I sat on the floor beside of Christian.

H-huh?

I looked around.

Why do I have this feeling that there's someone watching me?

Must be my imagination.

I just shrugged.

The class has started.

First subject is Physics.

"Blah blah blah" I murmured.

I looked at Christian, he's attentively listening to the teacher.

I looked at his classmates, they're quite attentive.

"How do you guys been able to listen to that? I can't understand anything with those numbers and letters," I whimpered.

I'm so bored.

Last subject: Biology

"What is the two cell division of Eukaryotes?" The teacher asks.

Only Christian raised his hand.

"Yes Mr. Collins."

"Eukaryotes has Two Cell Division namely Mitosis and Meiosis. Mitosis is for body cells and Meiosis is for sex cells,"Christian answered.

"Very good Mr. Collins. You're doing advance reading eh? I like diligent students so I'll add 10 points to your score on your finals." the teacher applauded.

"Woooaaahhh! He's awesome," I heard someone said. The whole class awed.

I decided to go with the vibe.

"You're quite intelligent huh. Are you the top student here?" I looked at the bulletin board at the back and saw his name as the top 1 of the class for 1st semester with an average of 98.23 .

"So you really are the top student here? Are you a prodigy? I guess if I were studying here I wouldn't even get an average of 80 hehehe," I cackled.

"COULD YOU PLEASE STOP TALKING!?" Christian  stood up and slammed his desk. He looked at me right in the eye.

"Mr. Collins, is there anything wrong?" Christian jolt as the teacher asked.

"No Ma'am," he said.

"Please stay outside. I'm going to talk to you later," the teacher said.

Christian took his bag and walk towards the door. I followed him.

He walked through the hallway and sat at the nearby stairs.

I sat beside him.

Silence confined us for few minutes.

"What do you want?" he said looking at the hallway.

"So you really can see me," I said.

"You're a ghost, I'm not supposed to see you." He frowned.

"You told me you're gonna help me.." I whispered.

"I don't think I can help you," he stood up and started to walk.

"Wait!" I grasp his hand.

He stopped and look at my hand confused.

"How are you able to touch me?" He asked.

"I don't know.." I whispered

"I don't know who and what you are so please just leave me alone," he turned his head away.

".. I .. don't.. know ..neither.." my tears started to fall from my eyes.

It's too painful.

To know that no one knows me, even myself.

"I'm sorry I bothered you. You're not gonna see me ever again," I let go of his hands and wiped my tears.

I walked down to the stairs not looking back.

It'll be more painful too look at his face giving me no concern about how I struggle.

My feet took me to the huge garden of the campus.

It has a huge fountain at the center and its surrounding is full of flowers.

What am I gonna do now?

I sat there for almost an hour and it's almost sunset.

"What's that?" I heard a sound from a piano.

My body move unconsciously to where the music came from.

Why is it so familiar?

It's coming from the building beside the garden.

As I walked near the building, the music goes louder.

I stopped at a double door with a signage 'Music room'.

My heartbeat goes fast.

It's so familiar. I guess I've already heard it  somewhere.

Whoever plays it, maybe he could help me find the answer.

I passed through the door.

The lights are off. The only thing that lits the place is from the sunset.

It's too dim to see who is playing the piano

The music stopped.

"You came."

An unfamiliar voice echoes through the place.
